    In 21-23 we had 1 or 2 max contract defenders essentially or literally not on the field in the playoffs. Chiefs had one foundational injury in their whole run-losing their LT before the TB Super Bowl, and we saw what happened.

    I’m fine with this. We let up an 87 yarder and a 50 yarder which skews the stats. Let them think they can run. When teams do try to run, we seem to have a high percentage of stuffs leading to 3rd and long.

    It seems the Bills could get some money off the books by asking Bass to renegotiate for lower salary before cutting him. This would not make sense for Bass to do in the short term but if he wants a 10 plus year career it may make him more likely to be signed by a next team.

    Gabe’s forte was supposedly option routes where the receiver would adapt the route to what the DB was doing. He started running routes this way at UCF where his coach was somewhat of a trailblazer. It lead to big plays on occasion but a poor target percentage and picks. He zigged where he was supposed to zag at the worst times like in the Eagles game.

    Thomas looks way better that Coleman but Carter who was part of the Coleman trade-back has really been popping, and we needed youth on the Dline badly.

    Raiders should have their choice of teams who are willing to give up a 2nd for one year rental, the exact Diggs market price. Jets look like the best 2nd round compensation and should look even better by Noon today.

    I’d rather have a healthy Von as a 10-7 4 seed than be a 12-5 2-seed without Von. I’m glad he’s missing games as it’s more likely he’ll be healthy at the end. I’m especially happy he does not have to play on that terrible turf in NY which is the same turf he tore his ACL on in Detroit. Detroit finally replaced theirs.

    KCs options to address WR at this point are limited. They will have to give up a second at least and that does not always work out. The Pats were in the same situation in 2019 and ended up reaching for Sanu for a second.
