Vikings WR Jordan Addison arrested for DUI
Charles Romes replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Addison strikes me as the type of receiver that will probably get close to #1 wr money but is too small to really be worth it. -
It was only a matter of time before he backed down

Will there be a surprise trade or cut before this season starts?
Charles Romes replied to tomur67's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kingsley Jonathan’s silence was deafening last season after the team went out of its way to make him a roster spot. The most underrated disappointment of the ‘23 season. I thought for sure he would flash in minimal opportunities last year. Instead he did nothing. -
SI Underrated player: Khalil Shakir, wide receiver
Charles Romes replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
You really shouldn’t be sneaking up on anyone if you are the #1 NFL WR in reception per target percentage while also being top 15 in YPC. -
wow, Burns really has the Von-in his prime ghost move down pat.

Close your eyes McDermott haters…he’s a top 10 HC
Charles Romes replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tre got paid but he was only really on field as the real Tre after getting paid for 1.5 of the 4 years he was paid. -
Close your eyes McDermott haters…he’s a top 10 HC
Charles Romes replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the two main factors leading to the 6/7 playoff streak, 5 straight 10-win seasons have been: (A) Josh Allen, (B) McDermott’s ability to scheme the back 7 on the cheap. The remaining position groups have been pretty average overall. -
The Bills have over $10 million in cap space- what is Beane’s plan?

Give up one of our 2nds at the trade deadline to a rebuilding team with a top 15 edge rusher. -

that’s the sweet spot of performance. No 35M receivers there. Very affordable long-term. -
Who is on your All-Time Buffalo Bills Mt. SHUSHmore?

I don’t hate orton as much as some people. He was only pressed into action off the couch where he wanted to be after Whaley left no option other than Manuel. -

szmyt was the groza award winning kicker of the year in college his first year in Syracuse, but very inconsistent in college after that.

The 77 second Miracle in 1990, Broncos at Bills
Charles Romes replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
After some sketchy performances including a blowout loss to the Dolphins, and these two home games which needed miracles, the team went on a roll and played the best football seen in the franchise’s existence post merger. The miracle games gave the team belief in itself, and team became visibly better. -
Jefferson gets paid: 4yr, $140m contract signed
Charles Romes replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall
Teams will start systematically running wide receiver by committee. Stock piling 2s and 3s. Keeping everyone’s stats down to under 800ypr so no one can ask for too much. Similar to how Belichick changed how running back was done. -
Waddle tua hill, remaining 19 starters league minimum UDFAs.

Beane’s media savvy is vital to attracting top value free agents.

I don’t know how the idea has taken hold that being short is no longer a detriment to playing QB. Watching the best really short QB hit the wall at 32, Kyler hurt all the time, Bryce disaster. Doesn’t matter, keep picking them number 1 -
What NFL rules changes would you like to see?
Charles Romes replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d like them to expand out the landing zone for the new kickoff rule from the current “goal line to 20” to a new larger zone encompassing the “goal line to 35”. This would set the stage for a modern version of the onside kick where kickers could try all sorts of soccer style kicks that hit the ground first and are fair game after that. The original onside kick rule from about 1905 was a line of scrimmage regular down play where you could kick the ball down field and it was a free ball when it landed. This would bring the new rule in line with the earliest onside kick rule. It would also draw many people - players and fans - from soccer into the game.
