  1. Past hour
  2. Hopefully not the one responsible for scouting QBs...
  3. The money lines......which are the projections that matter as much as any "projection" can.........they are NOT on those projections you are making up.
  4. Their stadium renovation deal may preclude any move, to some degree at least.
  5. is there a serious answer here or are you just clowning around?
  6. correct. https://www.counterpunch.org/2024/04/22/columbia-universitys-shai-davidais-family-tied-to-weapons-manufacturing/ The main person you quoted is a stooge for defense contractors who want to keep war going
  7. Until they put those big screens down at the tunnel end, it was not unusual to see numerous people in the scoreboard end, during plays at the opposite end of the field, standing up and turned around watching the scoreboard to see what was going on.
  8. They have added a Canadian scout from Argos.
  9. Anyone watch "Fool Me Once" on Netflix? A British Whodunnit that will keep you guessing with a good ending. The actress who plays the main character is an absolute beauty, IMO, and the actor who plays the lead detective does a great job. Michelle Keegan:
  10. What is truly fascinating is that the vast majority (80%) of newly minted trans people are from the United States. It's almost as if the media/culture proliferates the desire. Of course, we are just now starting to see the pendulum swing the other way, with many of these children realizing later in life that they were never trans. Dr. Michael Irwig, a board certified endocrinologist and Harvard faculty member predicted this, stating: “There is reason to believe that the numbers of detransitioners may increase. It is quite possible that low reported rates of detransition and regret in previous populations will no longer apply to current populations,” Even outspoken trans advocates, such as trans-psychologist Erica Anderson (who herself is trans), has begun to postulate the reason, stating: “A fair number of kids are getting into it because it’s trendy... I think in our haste to be supportive, we’re missing that element. I have these private thoughts: ‘This has gone too far. It’s going to get worse. I don’t want any part of it," Here is a good article on that: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/02/opinion/transgender-children-gender-dysphoria.html
  11. See I think a lot of what the Catholic Church does is EXACTLY that. It is tradition first and foremost. That is fine. I have no problem with tradition. But when that tradition leads to lecturing on morality.... well morality is not absolute it develops as society does.
  12. Maybe they are just adding and not subtracting?
  13. There are only five weekends that Taylor's and Travis schedule interfere. I did the "deep" dive into the Google to find her tour dates... Tour US - Taylor Swift Tour International - Taylor Swift Chiefs Schedule | Kansas City Chiefs - Chiefs.com Sunday, October 20th - Taylor is in Miami, Travis is in San Fransico Sunday, October 27th - Taylor is in New Orleans, Travis is in Las Vegas Sunday, November 3rd - Taylor is in Indianapolis Monday, November 4th - Travis is in Tampa Bay Saturday, November 16th - Taylor is in Toronto Sunday, November 17th - Travis is in Buffalo Sunday, December 8th - Taylor is in Vancouver, Travis is in Los Angeles (Chargers) So out of 17 games, not counting pre-season, there's only three that she could not be at. If the NFL really tried, they could have moved the Chiefs around more, by making those Sunday conflicts, Monday night games instead.
  14. No one seems to pay attention to the scouting staff but they're one of the most important parts of the team's front office. The Bills' web site mentions the moves on the staff and who's been added, but not who's been dropped. I think it would be very interesting to see which scouts found, and contributed to the Bills drafting or signing as UFAs, which players. Are the ones that Beane listened to, the ones he kept on board? This might be a little too hard for reporters to uncover, but it would be a whole lot better than endless articles about the WR situation or where the team will hold training camp (of COURSE it's back in Rochester).
  15. No no no. Tua walks and they start selling off assets like Michael Jackson and possibly get a real QB. Hill would get shipped out at the first sign of suckage and he may still conmand a late first. Chubb/Ramsey would probably get jettisoned too. The better option for Miami not being a threat is them to pay him big, they kick the restructuring can down the road to retain Waddle and other key pieces, and then even in 3-4 years when Hill is washed and Tua is a goner, they are Saints-lite and $80M over the cap. Total disaster class. There is nothing worse in the NFL than short-term spending as a contender when you aren’t and you don’t have a difference maker at QB.
  16. This is the problem with mid QB’s like Tua. You still have to pay them enormous top 5 money even though they stink because that’s how it works Until a GM has the balls to simply step away from a mid QB and try again this cycle will continue We are all hoping Grier continues the cycle and overpays for Tua
  17. Ramping up the rhetoric again. A lot of looney R's are gonna go crazy and get arrested again. Then we'll start the whole cycle again. I'm sure there will be posts shortly deflecting and acting like this is normal. It's not. It's absolute lunacy.
  18. I suppose we can assume Butker's choice of words was not great and that he does believe all that. I'm ok with that. However the fact is if he instead said something like: "Some of you will have careers and that is great. Some of you will be homemakers and that is great as well. Some of you will even do both and that too is incredible. Do what brings you joy and don't feel like you have to be pushed one way or the other". We wouldn't be talking about it. It would have been really easy for him to do that. Yet he didn't. Wny not? I'd also love someone to explain the "diabolical lies". What lies? Given the context of the rest of his speech, it's hard not to feel like the "diabolical lies" are the ones that say women can be happy seeking careers. If that's not the lies then what?
