  1. Past hour
  2. He just isn't wearing his used car salesman uniform. Remember when he had the entire NFL believing he was all in for Breece Hall? That we were trading up for a top 3 WR? When he said Diggs wasn't going anywhere? He's slicker than alligator poop on a bald-tired semi on a mile of wet asphalt. The proof is that you think he's an honest guy. He could tell you you're laid off and you'd thank him for letting you pack up your desk. He could convince you that you could out pizza the hut!
  3. Exactly Coleman was our guy, I'm sure that was obviously the best offer, regardless of any chart and value, we still got our guy + a 3rd.. win win. He knew nobody would take wr 29-31 and pretty certain Morgan told him they wouldn't take Coleman. Phenomenal maneuvering imo
  4. This is a very funny attempt at a “gotcha” that the 7 year HC has input on the draft lol
  5. The mob went from he is guilty of the crime, to he had an affair two decades ago.
  6. I agree with you that no WR was really worth it at that point.. we'd just be throwing them into the pile with Shorter, Shavers etc.. I do think they crushed the 5th Round though. Love the VPG pick and think Solomon is incredibly intriguing on this Defense if he translates as a pass rush specialist. Don't have an opinion on Olofoshio either way, but a lot of draft guys like Jeremiah thought he was a great value pick.
  7. Beane on Coleman 40 time - "I'm glad he ran that, we could get him" Is Awesome!
  8. Its starting to look like the only goal of this lawfare was her stories for the cycle. The actual case is weak as it comes.
  9. its why they rage and focus on trump vs the realities that the party and positions they support, are hurting most americans. and the moron replies about maga tears. Effing idiot on levels.
  10. Why should it have taken an overpay? KC allowed us to recoup our 3rd rounder for a player they were likely to get anyways. There was no massive bidding war for our pick. Why would we dig our heels in the sand only to get the same exact outcome for both teams but with us still having no 3rd rounder? It was an easy decision and I'm glad Beane did it instead of playing scared of the boogeyman. What analytics guy and points according to what draft value chart? The Rich Hill model has been proven to be more accurate than the old Jimmy Johnson model. I very much doubt that giving up exact equal value on that chart goes down as the "4th worst trade value ever." That's inherently absurd. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart-Rich-Hill.asp?RequestTeam=Buf
  11. Beane has been on record in the past saying how important the fifth year option was. Has he even not picked up a 5th year option? Is Ed Oliver on this team without the fifth year option? You 100% worry about the fifth year option right now. It's the reason why Carolina traded up into the first. Happens every year with teams getting back into the 1st for the 5th year option.
  12. I don't know I thought that trade was a no brainer at the time. 5th round is where all the draftniks said the value of this draft class fell off a cliff. We got back a free mid to high 4th round pick next year, I can't argue with that. I'm as annoyed as anyone that we didn't take two WRs in this draft but I don't think that trade is what prevented it. In the later rounds they were drafting guys that they were confident could make the team (or would not be poached by another team at final cutdowns), and for whatever reason they don't think a late round WR has a shot of beating out... Mack Hollins..... I don't get it but that's what they told us with their actions.
  13. What's crazy is the social media population under the impression all is the most UNclutch/choking QB there is. It's mind boggling. Most of it is just hate cause he's a cyborg.
  14. Exactly, it was even on the trade value chart, which means the Bills shouldn't have done it. It should have taken a massive overpay to make the trade. There was an analytics guy after the trade that said the net points the Bills got in this trade, was the 4th worst ever. These draft trades very rarely end up equal.
  15. It doesn't matter "why" they are interviewing them, only that they are interviewing them. You're operating under the mistaken assumption that the rule is intended to get teams to hire minority candidates; that is not what it's for. It was instituted to open up the Old Boy network so the same guys weren't interviewing their buddies over and over again. It's intended to give minorities the opportunity to meet and talk to people they would never have had a chance to talk to otherwise. It's not about hiring practices, it's about exposure.
  16. I think you're kind of overlooking the vast amount of experience and leadership and production they lost. Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde, and Stefon Diggs were each All-Pros. You don't typically lose three All-Pros and not miss a beat, even if two of them were a bit past their prime. Mitch Morse was a very good center and a leader on this team, and he's gone, too. The Bills' leading sack producer from last season, Leonard Floyd, is gone. Between Diggs and Davis leaving, over 250 targets in the passing game were vacated. I'm really not sure how anyone can say with a straight face that the Bills are in a better position -- or, as you say "much better" position -- than they were last year. If you go position group for position group and ask whether they're better, worse, or the same, you won't come up with many (any?) "betters", but you'll find a few "worses". I'm just not sure how anyone can say they look to have improved as things stand now. COULD they be better? Sure. But on paper, it sure doesn't look that way.
  17. Pegula doesn't make the decisions, Beane does. It's pretty obvious Bishop was the guy they were after. They had deals in place to trade down but didn't because their guy was there. I'll criticize Beane for many things but not for being a liar. He shoots straight. There's no reason to lie and act like he loves Bishop any more than he does. If anything it just looks bad on him in the future if Bishop doesn't turn out to be a good player because he openly admitted that he not only drafted the player but tried to trade up for him. Beane if anything is too honest for his own good.
  18. What a surprise. Demented Biden's buddies interfering in elections. What a mess.
  19. The question is not whether doctors or NFL general managers are wrong sometimes. The question is whether they are wrong about medical diagnoses or football players, as the case may be, more often than you or I. If I have a pain in my chest, I'm going to the hospital, not Two Bills Drive. Yes, the doctors in the hospital may be wrong, but that isn't the question. Yes, NFL front offices could get better at player evaluation. However, given the nature of the problem, they never can be perfect. Maybe it was possible two years ago to predict what would happen to Rashee Rice, but not with any certainty. There was no way to predict Von Miller's most recent knee injury. In both cases, what happened to them was possible, and the teams that acquired them MIGHT have chosen not to acquire those players because of the perceived risk, but a GM who says no to every player with a perceived risk will fail miserably. The nature of the job is to do the best you can with the information and the resources you have. GMs have better information and better resources than any of us, and that makes them quite likely to be better at player evaluation than you or I. Doctors, too. I've mentioned GM, the book about Ernie Accorsi as GM with the Giants. The author describes going to a Penn State game to scout players. Accorsi was watching the game and said. "Look at Posluzni's feet. He makes the correct first step every time." I've been watching pro football for 65 years, and I've never casually noticed anyone's feet, and if I did, I wouldn't know what the right first step is supposed to be. When I go to the hospital with chest pains, I want the medical equivalent of Ernie Accorsi, even if he did bet on Jeremy Shockey.
  20. That’s a good way to look at it. Just wish he would’ve used and took someone like Bub Means or Ainais Smith with the high 5th rounder instead of trading one of them for a 4th next year. But Beane will be Beane
