While there are some small signs that the pendulum is swinging incrementally towards the run game, the NFL is a passing league and pass rushers are MUCH MORE important than run stuffers... thus Exhibit A, Zion Logue. The Bills are young on the D-line and feel that the "youts" could benefit from some veteran leadership. What exactly is the big deal? I don't think it shows a lack of confidence... I think it shows that they feel that what Phillips brings will be an asset to the team.

You’re missing the broader point which is that Tre White must be criticized with even the most absurd comparisons. It proves the macho street cred of those who criticize him. They’ve proven they’re not being sentimental in any way which is reserved for inferior betas. By preferring someone like Ricks, or ignoring all logic, they bolster their own self image of being an alpha.
