  1. Past hour
  2. But they tend to play well against the better teams. And that was my point - they are a team consistently at the bottom of the standings. They shouldn’t ever be thinking they can take a night off. But they seem to pretty consistently play up or down to their competition. They just played probably their best game of the year against Edmonton the game before this. Totally shut McDavid and Draisaitl down. Then they follow it up with one of their worst performances of the year against the current last place team in the NHL.
  3. I’m not sure what the point of that would be. imo, it’s no guarantee that Vic gets another HC opportunity. He’s kind of in that Spags zone. If it looks like he is gonna get poached, you can pull that lever then. But there’s no guarantee that Vic is as successful as de facto DC and HC. Sirianni is kind of a perfect figurehead for now. The next good OC should not be let out of the building.
  4. I’ve gotta hand it to you. I can honestly say that I’ve never discussed Eagles football one time (either lengthy or briefly) at an event with anyone. 😉
  5. Easy... If only they could stop the run.
  6. The coaching is bad in Philly. Especially on offense. It's pretty clear now - give Hurts a good OC - Steichen or Moore and he looks good. Without them he looks meh. Sirianni doesn't move the needle at all. That Superbowl win was Howie, Vic and Kellen. I do wonder if there is a point at which Howie just says "let's make Vic Head Coach"?
  7. Yeah so all you need is two all pro wide receivers and two all pro edge rushers. 😅
  8. N = N + 1 syndrome. Go Bills !!!
  9. Sometimes I wonder if Brady's is written on a napkin? 1. Run 2 Run 3. Run 4. Touche push 5.Pass to someone whos open 6. Lateral slant pass 7. If nobody is open, QB runs. 8. See #1
  10. Random thought that's been rolling around in the NFL part of my brain. I wonder if the Bills are mulling over whether to accept that Josh is going to have a short, brilliant career as a multi-threat QB. Or whether they'll keep him in the pocket and try to morph him into a "Dice them up with football IQ" type guy who plays until he's 38-40. My heart wants them to cut him loose and let him play however he wants, knowing he may well be toast by 32 or 33. My head says our window is his career, so his career should be as long as they can make it.
  11. PFF lol. Gothca, thanks. I like Rankins, he is a good penetration style DT. Calling him elite is an absolute stretch by anyone's definition.
  12. This is a fantastic post. A huge reason for my disdain of the Keon pick is this. Why are we so concerned with finding a guy that is good when covered?!? How about we find a guy that avoids getting covered?!? The best WR years in Bills history belong to Diggs. He was/is elite as a route runner. Give me guys that get open over guys that make 50/50 balls 58/42 balls.
  13. Play calls from 'back in the day' Lew, go to the maple tree and do a button hook. Hike on 3
  14. I would take that SB trophy and their brick wall defense who made the Detroit Lions look like a poor mans New Orleans Saints last weekend.
  15. That's because everyone runs the ball against us all the time.
  16. Well at least they were late round picks, uh, right???
  17. The self-serving nature of Beano has really reared its head the last 2 years or so. I think he’s under pressure internally. We are a chronically cap strapped team every offseason, that needs to keep begging Pegs to cut more checks and for what?
  18. Happy Birthday , young fella !!!
  19. Happy Birthday young fella !!!
  20. I thought I read a while back that McDermott gets a lot of input on early round selections.
  21. The oline has been banged up and there has been discussion about hurts not being the guy for a couple years now. I got into a pretty lengthy discussion with some people at an event this past summer where I cautioned then about getting rid of hurts without having a solution in place first. While he's not great you can do a lot worse. Now put yourself in the position of an eagles fan looking at Buffalo who has often looked sloppy, soft and disinterested this year. What do you think they say?
  22. Cincy is 3-7 right now, and I'm reading that they are thinking of sitting him to keep him healthy for next season? Not only that, WR Ja'marr Chase wants out of Cincy and is asking to be traded away from that losing franchise. He went on a rant about it a while back. Hrmmm...
  23. While I understand that there are circumstances in a game where the situation requires throwing to a covered player, who you hope wins the contested catch, I have never understood why people place such high value on that particular skill. I would much rather have play designs and WRs with separation skills that you don't actually have to make contested catches. I feel like I have spent the last 20 years watching Wes Welker, Julian Edelman and Travis Kelce catching wide open passes in situations where everyone in the stadium and watching on tv knew where the ball was going before it was even snapped. I want those types of plays and types of players. Honestly, I don't want to have an offense designs plays that end in contested catches. If for arguments sake, one were to stipulate Coleman is meaningully above average NFL level skill in that category, but below average in every other measure, I wouldn't roster him.
  24. Happy Birthday!!!!🎂
