  1. Past hour
  2. Last year's offense with CJ Ogbanna would not have fared much better. The problem was a Big Ten D front versus a MAC O-line. They were getting blown up all night. And this O-line is mostly the same guys. It was what it was. I was getting a little giddy thinking UB could upset but it wasn't that close, despite the score being 13-10 at the start of the 4th. But that UB defense is totally for real and they gave Minnesota fits.
  3. But he's always hurt.
  4. Having a day to sit on this, here's where I'm at. Cap wise, I don't think we could have made this work at all. To trade Groot or Oliver would be a big cap hit, plus having to pay Parsons. In a magical world where that doesn't matter, for me it comes down to. Would you rather have Parsons or Oliver, Groot, and our next two first round picks. That's a tough call for me and I would say it's a fairly even wash. The deciding factor to me is culture fit, which I'm not so sure Parsons would be here. It's hard to say that for sure, and him being a top talent on defense at his age is tough to overlook. But in the big picture, I just don't see how Parsons would have fit in with our culture, salary cap, and having a "pay my top money" guy. Besides Josh, who didn't even ask for that, we expect everyone to have a team mentality. Would I love to have Parsons on the team? Of course. Just don't see how it would fit
  5. Fantasy baseball was around back then? As I get older though the mental aspect of the game really interests me. Like Mark Sanchez was being interviewed about the butt fumble and he said while it was really embarrassing he looks back on and laughs. Almost like yeah f it. Meanwhile Craig Ehlo had to seek out therapy for how many times Michael would get the better of him. I mean imo Craig had a pretty good career and Michael dominated everyone… I guess in that sense I can respect Mark for not making his whole life about that play
  6. Well played. There are certainly some questionable honorees. Most of the musical honorees however, have had pretty solid/influential body of work. Joni Mitchell, Earth Wind and Fire, Led Zeppelin - all great musicians and/or songwriters. There's probably some lesser talents there too. I have no problem with George Strait this year, as bringing back (keeping alive?) that western swing sound was a cultural achievement. KISS? Whatever. I guess they are living comic book icons.
  7. Yup. Anyone who says he isn't a clear upgrade over what we have needs to immediately call their doctor and report their symptoms. I'm dead inside and don't deserve good things, but god I would love for us to pick him up.
  8. I’m not sure that designing packages for a guy who just got cut is a great way to run a defense
  9. That’s what I was thinking, versatile guy. How is he against the run?
  10. Lawyer Milloy part II? 😂
  11. I was a little disappointed with Davidson, as well. But he lost his spot fair, and square, including on the PS. Maybe he could be a successful #2 TE somewhere? But a #3 TE has to be a stud at blocking, and on ST. Hawes will be both those things, and Kaleki Latu (assuming he is on the PS-- currently not listed) was better as well. Bills would have to sign him to the 53 to get him off the Jags' PS.
  12. Missed much of the season in 3 of the last 4. Seems like a perfect fit. Get it done.
  13. Oh man I would love to add him, especially since it would be almost free. Cut Codrington and use Peppers as our kick and punt returner. He wouldn't start on our defense but we could definitely design packages to use his skillset. A lot of the player and coaching additions we made on defense this offseason were about adding variety and unpredictability. Peppers fits that philosophy to a tee.
  14. 11. Losses to Philadelphia, Baltimore, one to NE, Buccaneers, Bengals and Texans
  15. I hear this but the reality is Josh has been the best player in the league for the past 5 years and could have possibly won MVP each of those years. Josh is on a different level than everyone else and for him not to be thought of in this poll is just ignorant!
  16. That may be something you're interested in. I do a good deal of dispursement this at our church, and I am not aware of anything attaching strings, but to each his own. I am simply stating that a great deal of charitable contributions that US citizens make are not reported in any official capacity, and certainly not as gov aid. It could be argued that a small amount of it could be monitored by allowable tax deductions, but that would be another false path, as a great deal of these are not reported to the IRS since people don't itemize as often since the standard deductions are large enough to eliminate that reporting. The point is that the US citizen gives way more in charity than is ever accounted for by gov stats, and those avenues are not nearly as opted for by foreign citizens,
  17. I never even think about drafting defense; I stream my defenses week-to-week based upon the opponent.
  18. Yes. But I am not going to criticize the do-gooder groups who take Christ's message seriously: do good.
  19. If you subscribe to PFF. 82.3 overall PFF grade. 7th of 117 safeties. Pass coverage grade was 8th at 81.7. Run defense was 35th at 74.4.
  20. When did I say we should have traded for Parsons? You assessed the team with lots of “could” & “potential” , I assessed the team based on prior results. Let’s hope for development! Either way this team needs more elite talent
  21. He isn't really a safety. He is a hybrid. Decent run player, good instincts, liability in coverage.
  22. Why would you default to thinking she was dead? Let's be fair...a lot of these honorees are sort of past their prime. 2022 included Bette Midler....George Clooney (before he stabbed his old pal JB in the back)...a pipless Gladys Knight. 2021....Joni Mitchell. 2019...Sally Field...Earth Wind and Fire. And so on. Led Zeppelin was an industry giant and certainly a major light that eclipsed that of GG, but by the time they were honored in 2012 it had been a long time since they rock and rolled. Gloria Gaynor was afraid and petrified, only to discover she had the gumption and tenacity to survive (hey hey). I respect the heck outta that.
  23. Trade 2 firsts, Oliver and a bag of footballs for a premier sack manufacturer? Who's not signing up for that?
  24. If the Bills played more Big Nickel looks he would be perfect addition to the group of safeties they have now.
