United Health Care Exec Assassinated in NYC
SCBills replied to JFKjr's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Why can I, a normal citizen, understand that this was CLEARLY premeditated, but those were supposed to trust in our Justice System cannot? -

The Bills were also a dysfunctional mess at the time with their offense. Can’t say the same right now -
Since his rookie year when he had a couple bad drops, I love watching him catch the ball. He wraps it up like it's the worlds most valuable treasure with his entire body. In his hands I never worry about it getting dislodged from a hit.

Josh will be wearing a visor this week
Sierra Foothills replied to UConn James's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh said three thing about. the visor yesterday: 1) He's worn them before in college. 2) They capture heat inside the helmet. 3) His voice reverberates inside the helmet. I wouldn't be surprised if he ditches it early. His youthful enthusiasm with his teammates is just a joy to watch. Another thing about Josh is that he often says "we" even when talking about himself. When asked how his nose was he said "we can breathe, so all good." When asked about protecting his nose he said "I think we're going to try a visor". Talk about a total team player... -
I disagree that the right has moved to religion and hatred. If anything, both parties were unified by Judeo-Christianity until the mid-2010's when the Democrats started embracing far-left ideology as their platform. The democrats left religion more than the right embraced it, Republicans have always been dominated by evangelical-types until Trump. And while Trump has more than his fair share of problems, he was the direct catalyst for exposing the Democrat's radicalization- and thus he is responsible for moving tons of moderates to vote Republican, ie "red pilling". There is now far more tolerance on the right, just by virtue of the moderates who were abandoned by the left.

Yea that’s fair -
Bringing in Hawes and then the emergence of Kincaid's blocking has really opened up the heavy run game. The offense has so many different pieces, they can run almost anything they want. It's freaking awesome.

Anything beyond beating the Dolphins on Thursday night in Week 3 is jumping the gun. If it’s music related, my wife seems to care about the SB halftime shows, but she also likes the commercials while I’m more concerned about the football. Just the football. .

He looks like he enjoys playing here. I’m sure it helps were 2-0 hopefully he stays healthy. I thought he was one and done here but it wouldn’t surprise me if he stays healthy he might realize the most money isn’t the way to go and decides to stay for less money. Hes even said a couple of times how he feels like an old guy now in this league and seems he realized his football mortality

I would imagine the coaches talked to him about it. His whole career there have been discussions about taking unnecessary hits and that was certainly one of them. I love that he's not scared of contact and will do anything to get those extra yards, but there's time and place. I'm pretty surprised people are giving you grief for bringing this up. I love Josh too, but he's not perfect. He missed some throws and the intentional grounding where he back handed it and it didn't get back to the line was dumb as hell. There's something about the Jets that he plays pretty pedestrian.

Yep, Knox will rebound. Remember when he had the drops as a rookie and in the off season he went to that "hands coach"? After that, he caught almost everything. He just needs a refresher. He will revert to his catching form. If he doesn't start catching, his salary cap hit of $14 mil is in ludicrous territory. Heck, even when catching, he isn't worth $14 mil.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW – “How Does It Feel to Have a Quarterback?”
billsfan89 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remembered thinking don't trade up you need to build a complete team around any QB you draft and if you have to take Lamar at pick 12 just take him and use all those other picks to grab some O-line and WR's for him. But then when they traded up I thought I was a "wrong Josh" guy. But then I looked at what I wrote and I seemed to like the pick and not mention anything about Rosen. I think I was worried about the accuracy issues but understood that the accuracy issues with Josh may have been overblown in college. It wouldn't have been terrible to have Lamar and merely get the second best QB in the draft and a top 2-4 QB in the league but I'm super glad we got Josh Allen. I guess my memory was faulty and I wasn't as off on Allen as I thought... -
Bosa must love playing his home games in front of fans who are rooting for him and his teammates. Probably never knew that feeling playing home games for the Chargers.

I don't think an AFCCG warrants a musical act. This trend is the NFLs gig to make these events - worked well with the Superbowl. The NFL would love to extend that to the next lower level and make parties out of the CGs. Remember when they almost had the big party in ATL for Bills v KC? But if the Bills did win the Championship, it is event worthy. It would be something that the powers in Buffalo should not be scrambling to put together in a week. It should have months of planning and the OPs band should certainly be in the mix. For many a Superbowl can cost too much, whereas a trip to Buffalo would be much cheaper. It would be nice for out of towners to know the dates and possible events. Last year the jinxer crowd wouldn't let it be discussed.

For all the people that say the refs screw the Bills, well the refs gifted us that win. It was clear pass interference in the end-zone on the last play. Refs just wanted the game to be over and they didnt throw a flag and walked off the field. -
There's more than enough card-carrying racists and warmongers in the world if someone really wants to throw their life away in order to take someone out. The radical left believes "if you aren't with us, you're against us and if you're against us you are an evil nazi"- all so that they can justify any action they take against anyone who doesn't agree with them. It's all by design.

Then the D will just get worse. When he called plays in 2023, Sean’s D folded in key moments against the Eagles, Bucs, Broncos, Pats, Giants, Chiefs. And 2 of those losses were partially the result of a mistimed zero blitz. Oh, and yes he was calling the D for :13 so there's that. Meanwhile, Leslie's D was ranked #1 in 2021 and #2 in 2022. Imagine that paired with Josh and Joe Brady. -
Week 3, Fish v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 37-Sonar Buoys 18. Kicking FGs against the Bills is always a big mistake. -
That's a good plan. I like it, a lot. We have good depth players--use them.

The issue with Goff has always been if the play breaks down he's toast - lacks the talent to improvise or overcome a bad play call or missed blocking assignment. That's not really a fair criticism - the same "criticism" can be lodged against many QBs, maybe less so in today's game where mobile passers are more prevalent. Tua is a really good comparison. Drew Brees - if he didn't have a clean inner pocket he struggled. Kirk Cousins isn't improvising. Lots of QBs need protection and good playcalling in order to perform at a high level. Josh is not one of those QBs.
