  1. Past hour
  2. As others have pointed out they’re #1 mainly due to having faced the lowest amount of pass attempts in the league. However they’re still 4th in epa/dropback, 6th in passer rating, 4th in completion %, and 7th in NY/A allowed for the whole season. Since the Rapp went to IR and Bishop broke out those numbers are probably even better.
  3. It’s a reasonable question that you are unable to answer. I mean your judging the behavior of Trump while completely ignoring the lefts and their leaderships behavior and I can point many examples of the lefts violent and disgusting behavior
  4. Simple solution Virgil: Move to Southern California! Early games start at 10:00am and it’s almost certainly going to be 75 and sunny the rest of the afternoon. 👍
  5. For every crazy plan my wife makes its always followed by "here me out" I never listen...
  6. Taylor is the best back in the league. Then its Gibbs or Cook pick your poison.
  7. Adam Thielen waved. Brandon Beane blushed. They both knew that they would find each other once again. Karolina Konnection. Coming up next on the Hallmark channel.
  8. I know everyone on here hates to see it, but the road to the Super Bowl appears to run through Foxboro. Ugh!
  9. Working through Injury and returning punts? Probably not. Out of focus in Brady's run heavy O philosophy perhaps. I agree with the game off...
  10. My bad, you are correct. Every aspect of the formula is divided by attempts. Not sure why I thought otherwise.
  11. Again, it is my opinion that saving people "for the playoffs" is wrongheaded. The Bills lose the tie breaker to the Texans so there is zero margin for error, and as we have seen this version of the Bills is far from perfect. Not playing Joey Bosa so he doesn't aggravate and make worse his injury condition is fine, but any thought that we are "saving anything for the playoffs" is putting the cart before the horse. One win at a time.
  12. I wanted to hear you out… but had to stop right there. The Bengals are absolutely NOT the toughest game left on the schedule. It will be a tough game, mostly because we get them after a 10day rest which gives Burrow more time to get back in a rhythm. But the Patriots are absolutely a better team than the Bengals… AND we get them after their bye week! And in Foxboro. The schedule makers did us no favors with this little stretch! Oh yeah.. and we get to play the Eagles still. so… sorry.. I stopped reading your post at the start of the 2nd paragraph. Any conclusions drawn on the assumptions that next week is the toughest team/game we have left are flawed conclusions.
  13. I think Bill’s problem is he couldn’t envision a world where he couldn’t be coach and gm. Very likely would’ve been scooped up again otherwise Tomlin will get scooped up very fast if he leaves also imo. With that anonymous report that a veteran hc is lookin for a change of scenery and staring at their first below .500 season in awhile I think that’s probably Tomlin wanting to go to NYG
  14. Thielen should pay the Bills for the right to play with Josh. He can keep his playoff proceeds. 🙂
  15. Not unless he's gotten better at catching the ball. I'll also note that if Allen has a weakness, it's passing to backfield receivers.
  16. Terrell Shavers and Hawes85 are very good at blocking the other team out of the way. The defense is better with Thompson45 than Bernard8 playing middle linebacker (see Carolina also).
  17. No. It cost another $3.5M this year to cut Coleman, plus another $2.1M next year. His contract is over 95% guaranteed. Beane has $1.8M in cap space.
  18. The eye test says against legit running games and/or elite WRs/TEs, our defense is straight up homeless ass. Next weekend, Cincy's WRs are gonna smoke our DBs.
  19. Agree on Bosa. Make sure he’s healthy for the playoffs! Assuming Brown and Benard are out for a while. Hoping this team can stay/get healthy down the stretch!
  20. Bills run defense against zone vs gap scheme concepts is what you really want to look at. We've struggled to stop gap schemes all season. The Steelers ran exactly two gap scheme concepts all game and both hit. The first was pin and pull (Thompson over ran it which has been the common theme of all our backers this year) and the second was Dart if I remember correctly. When gaps aren't changing it's not difficult for us to stop the run, it's when they start moving that we've struggled with. The whole Bernard/Thompson debate is interesting. Bernard has clearly been playing hurt - he doesn't look as explosive as he has. That being said he is still the best backer we have with eye discipline and attack steps off initial reads. Where the two seem to differ is in their block destruction. Bernard is more of a bender using his athleticism to avoid being engaged by offensive linemen where Thompson is more traditional shock and shed. Our defensive line was the reason we stopped the run today. Those dudes were getting after it and have improved tremendously from the start of the season.
  21. This team has to stop the turnovers. Luckily yesterday they did not bite them too much.
  22. There are certainly valid posters in here to be asking this question. Personally this year was my tipping point. Josh almost 30. Need to get the right guys in and have time to implement their plans while Josh s window is firmly open. Im scared: waiting 2 years to change, and then year 2 of new staff when things would be most likely to start really cooking... youre running out of room for error. It'd be ideal to be able to stay put, but im not willing to continue experiment Personally. Id be pretty dammed excited to stay the course IFFFF we added 2 bonafide already-established coordinators too. Unfortunately i view that as being less likely to happen than I do, ripping it down to the studs, starting it over and getting it right. At least in terms of likeliness to happen. Were yet to see McD pick 1 top coordinator, hitting 2 sounds brutally unlikely. Yet my most preferred if possible
  23. We absolutely own Davis Mills and Andy Dalton!
  24. That and he has a new baby at home. He's looked unfocused the past two games. I agree I'm not overly concerned about his play in the long term. I'd like to give him a game off to recover if we can help it. We probably need him against Cincy and NE but maybe the Cleveland week he can pop up on the injury report and give him a week to rehab.
  25. Depends on how you define "perennial contender". I agree with @MJS and others that he'd be hired right away, and could elevate a bottom-dweller. He wouldve been perfect in Carolina the last couple of years. Weakish division. They'd be in the hunt and favored to take that Division every year, therefore a perennial contender. But that doesnt change anything here, and isnt even relevant to our situation and conversation. McD pretty much admits it himself. The signs all over OBD say "Playoff Caliber". He's never changed them to "Championship Caliber" when that is the current goal.
  26. Yeah I agree - it will need to be a healthy Kincaid and Palmer. And our offense/defense clicking at the right time, getting back to winning the turnover battle. Lots of things need to become more "consistent", but with Josh at the helm, I'd take us in any matchup. We are having issues "stacking" victories right now, this week will be another playoff type game then same at the Pats.
