  2. Hancock's ascendancy was addressed in today's The Athletic column by Joe Buscaglia: "Near the conclusion of training camp practices at St. John Fisher University, fifth-round rookie defensive back Jordan Hancock spent all his time at safety. The Bills had explained it as a matter of numbers, as starters Taylor Rapp and Cole Bishop had missed time due to injuries. That carried into the first preseason game, where neither starting safety played, opening the door for an impressive full-time debut at safety by Hancock. It feels incredibly notable that during the joint practice with the Bears, Hancock remained a full-time safety despite Rapp and Bishop appearing close to returning. Hancock lined up beside Damar Hamlin for most of practice with the second unit and even subbed in on the first-team defense when the Rapp and Bishop duo needed a few rest reps. The rookie Hancock seems to have clearly passed veteran Darrick Forrest, too. Hancock has been an ascending player at safety since it recently became his default position. The Bills said this week they hadn’t decided on Hancock’s position, but how they used him, with everyone they had available, sure seems like a loud statement." 3. But are those Eggland's Best? You know I mark my calendar for Wacka's weekly trip to Tops.
  4. there’s a website I visit called this girls a dude. You need a credit card for full access
  5. Beane's failing point as a GM is his unwillingness to go all-in for top talent. I imagine he feels burned by Von tearing his ACL but it was the right idea and he shouldn't be scared of swinging for the fences. If you can get Parsons in his prime you do it, even if it's expensive. If Beane had pulled the trigger and traded for Von mid-season instead of the Rams 13 seconds would never have happened and we would have won it all that year.
  6. says the poster who has never gotten over his crying when mommy took him to the Dr for his childhood vaccinations. A lot of the anti-vaxx stuff is nothing more than fear of needles.
  7. And some production manager will receive big bucks for his brilliant idea.
  8. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/cincinnati-assault-suspect-accused-knocking-154815794.html Rosemond punched the defenseless "HR," knocking her unconscious instantly and sending her crumpling to the pavement as the mob closed in, prosecutors said. Pointing to disturbing footage, prosecutors said that Rosemond was "taunting" and dancing after launching the brutal beatdown. When speaking about the beating in court on Friday, prosecutors said that it "almost caused her death." She previously told Fox News Digital that the attackers swarmed her "like a pack of wolves." She was knocked unconscious and had a concussion, and she shared that she was experiencing excruciating migraines and "memory gaps" from the night.
  9. Poor Roger Stone! Stone was found guilty of obstruction of a congressional investigation, five counts of making false statements to Congress, and tampering with a witness. The verdict followed a trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Stone faces a prison sentence of up to five years for counts one to six and up to 20 years for count seven. He will be sentenced on February 6, 2020, by the Honorable Amy Berman Jackson. According to an investigation into allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, including allegations that Russia was involved in the publication of documents related to the presidential election by WikiLeaks in 2016. On September 26, 2017, in testimony to the Committee, Stone made a number of false statements relating to the identity of a person he had referred to in August 2016 as his “back-channel” or “intermediary” to the head of WikiLeaks; whether he had asked that person to do anything on his behalf; whether he had written communications with that person; whether he discussed that person with anyone involved with the Trump campaign; and whether he had written communications with third parties about the head of WikiLeaks. On October 13, 2017, Stone sent the House Intelligence Committee a letter falsely stating that the person he had referenced in August 2016 was an individual named Randy Credico. Stone then engaged in witness tampering by urging Credico either to corroborate this false account, or to tell the Committee that he could not remember the relevant events, or to invoke his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination to avoid testifying before the Committee. Credico ultimately invoked his Fifth Amendment right in response to a Committee subpoena.the government’s evidence, in January 2017, the United States House of Representatives Select Permanent Committee on Intelligence (“House Intelligence Committee") This "Hoax" crap long ago jumped the shark. They are now trying to exonerate the ultimate political dirty trickster Roger Stone. What? Roger Stone would would work with Wikileaks Insiders? Not our Roger Stone!
  10. Because they know Trump is going to end this sham. Then it will be about caving to Putin somehow. They are pathetic.
  11. I’m betting this thread will be underrated.
  12. Maybe but I don’t think that will matter with his records and super bowls and rich gf or fiancé or wife (idk what they are now) when people think about if he succeeded or not haha personally I wanted to draft him in 2013. Believe me I wish he would have failed too
  13. 1. Crimea. Admit that it's gone. Russia took it over a decade ago and the international community did little. It is the bargaining chip. 2. Some minor border adjustments in the Donbas to reflect the reality of the pre-war population (more Russia-oriented) and the current population (basically only Russian and Russian-oriented population left). Ukraine to have a very minor face-saving border adjustment of it's own. 3. Russia to withdraw from all other regions. 4. Status of Ukraine (EU/NATO membership) to be deferred to some kind of peace process.
  14. They have a show called this guys a dude. Featured Bryce paup. Guy was a beast, underrated
  15. He's one of the most overrated players in the last 20 years.
  16. Why is there a Browns fan cheering in the commercial? (about the 45 second mark for those interested)
  17. Black market guns is the biggest problem IMO. With all due respect Levi (Unsecured or improper secured firearms are one of the largest contributors to illegal guns on the street.)
  18. Ignore the headline below the pic. Annoying old-time liberal Maureen Dowd has joined the enough crime is enough crowd. My own personal belief about a lot of this: both sides unfortunately reached the conclusion the the War on Drugs was a failure. It wasn't. We did actually arrest and imprison our way out of the crack crisis of the 80s and 90s, but didn't even try with the opiate crisis of the 2010s - today. Legalize (not "reschedule"; actually legalize on the federal level) marijuana and in the same bill go full-on War on Meth and Opiates.
  19. I was only 6 years old during that season so this was the first time I've seen the game highlights. Good stuff, but I had no idea until now that Nick Mike-Mayer's name was pronounced "Mickamyer"
  20. And mummified Buddy Nix
  21. Stay home then....simple..
  22. Brewers were losing 8-1 last might and came back and won. 13 in a row now
  23. Mets homestretch schedule lot tougher than Yankees and their bullpen is getting worse. Hope the Brewers have something in the tank come playoffs. What a run.
  24. I would absolutely love a Parsons trade (basically like getting Von in his prime instead of the twilight) but I think Beane is scarred from the Von experience. Plus we'd have to send back a decent chunk of salary to make it work under the cap, and I think they want to stick with their compression style edges rather than the speed/bend guys unfortunately. I agree it would instantly make us the super bowl faves. A guy can dream but it's almost certainly not happening. In any event, Jerry loves RBs, throw him Cook for the salary (lol if we trade him immediately after the contract saga), Landon Jackson to get him a Razorback positional replacement, a 2026 first and a 2027 3rd. Super Bowl 🤣
