Evaulation (of this team) after a quarter of season gone
HamptonBillsfan replied to ganesh's topic in The Stadium Wall
The first four games have been a testament to the greatness of Josh, Cook the O-line and a few defenders (Bernard, Benford, Bosa, and Oliver). The offense has been good enough to compete for the SB. Averaging over 30 and scoring on cue when teams have narrowed margins are indicative of great production. The weaknesses on defense are glaring and must be resolved if we want to overcome our loser resume. The run defense is not effective and without Oliver and Milano it’s not going to improve. The front four also has generated little pressure on the QB but Sean and Babich have brought extra rushers ala Spags approach that have worked at times. We need continued improvement from Walker, Sanders and the arrival of Ogenjobi. Our secondary gives up too many completions and YAC. Relying on our 1st round rookie cb and the other rookies with a game but injury diminished Tre White is not realistic. Bishop showed flashes last game but he’s out of position too much. So it seems obvious we need an acquisition before the deadline either an established corner or safety and the addition of the PED lineman to shore up the defense. The outlook is optimistic to get the overall home field throughout the playoffs but to beat KC and the NFC champion improvement of our defense will determine whether we end the drought. -
Do you still hate the Patriots? I do!

There’s a ton of room between “instant star” and still having the tags on your jersey. That said, if there’s any organization that deserves the benefit of the doubt regarding players who are slow out of the gate, it’s the Bills. It’s one of the reasons I think McDermott deserves a lot more credit than some give him. He can flat out develop players.

I agree. I picked this game before it was announced what this was.... I don't think I own any white Bills gear which is saying something. It's never really been a team color. -
lol so was mine

Between that and those God awful uniforms in some college or USFL team’s colors, I’m glad I’ll be home for this one. Quit screwing with a great thing. -
But we know that because of your severe case of TDS and your bias against common sense and how you lean towards ignorants so it's all good !! Of course you look the other way when its the peaceful protests that burn down gov't buildings and when a unarmed person gets shot and killed but those things are okay because it fits the BS your trying to push which once again we all know . And you will come up with some excuse which are like Ass holes that every one has and they usually stink ...

Hopefully we're the team that has the bye week going into it as the top seed as to meet easier going through two teams vs three to make the Super Bowl.

SEPT. 28: Around the NFL, other games.

Anything resolving a tie that involves using a coin flip is arbitrary. Rock-Paper-Scissors is the only way to go. (I would have added 'Lizard-Spock', but I can just picture the mental gyrations the two additional options would have added for players and coaches. 🤨) -
Somehow, I don’t think Chiefs are feeling sorry for us every year in the playoffs. 🤷♂️

Is Hawes in the process of surpassing Knox as TE2??
JP51 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
So I dont see him as surpassing... I see Hawes as a Lee Smith with downfield pass catching ability but a voracious blocker... quite honestly the 3 tight end set with 3 guys that can catch is an interesting thing for a defense to have to defend... I think Hawes has played well, really well, but he is still a rookie... I think if he continues his trajectory this won't be a replace Knox, but it may be a makes him expendable... in the end though, I have rarely seen effective 3 TE offenses to me this is a new wrinkle that maybe we are even ahead of the game on... Bottom line, I think Knox is here thru his contract... I think the roles are a bit nuanced and he may lose some snaps, but I also think that there is a place for all of them... -

It was 3 years ago. It was actually to deliver the "Spirit of Virginia" award to the museum. I misremembered the reason. You win again! -
