  1. Past hour
  2. I think Max has himself a breakout game today. I see him matching up with Waddle and grabbing an under thrown ball or two.
  3. Yes, the measures people will go through to discredit McDermott is almost laughable.
  4. Very cool ! Shawn Merriman is one of those players that’s easy to forget they even played for Buffalo like Vince Young or Reggie Bush.
  5. Check out the electronic ear muffs that gun shooters use. It allows you to hear conversations but compress's loud noises like gun shots. Not sure if it would work on all the sounds, but it would probably handle the fireworks. Not sure about the train whistle.
  6. Fans are in for a big let down if the Bills don’t make it to the SB and McDermott is still here next year. I am taking a “wait and see” approach. It’s not only if they lose, but how they lose. Regardless, I am a realist. The Pegulas and Josh Allen love McDermott. That’s why I think we are stuck with him for a while. It would take something truly catastrophic for him to lose his job.
  7. There are some legitimate criticisms to make of McDermott. Some of which you allude to in your first para. But your contention in the OP is still completely wrong. Nobody is trying to cement him in a pantheon of great coaches.
  8. No idea what that means but you can choose how to look at things no matter the situation.
  9. Try living where I live for a while.
  10. It must suck to walk around trying to find the most negative way to look at everything.
  11. Actually, I'm not a "fire McD" guy but any Bills fan with a pulse would have to confess some disappointment with him. It's not the "zero Superbowls" thing, it's that with a "defense-minded coach" we've had way too many games where we couldn't get a stop on third down, especially with all the draft capital we've invested on defense. And I may have said this once or twice (or maybe 15 times) - I think his biggest failure is NOT 13 seconds, but his failure to be accountable for 13 seconds. It was clearly a coaching meltdown in several aspects, yet he's never owned it or told us why it won't ever happen again. So I think he's a guy who's got a damaged public persona, and some geek with a new HP calculator found a way to put him on the same list as Paul Brown. It sounds pretty lame to me. Still, I don't buy the "fire McD" approach, partly because so many new coaches fail and partly because I'm a Sabres fan too and I've seen what happens when Terry gets to hire folks.
  12. I know he gets maligned on this board, but thank goodness we have Dorain Williams. He may be the most dependable LB we have in terms of playing time. And he hits—it may not always be the right guy—but someone is going to get hit.
  13. The closer you sit to the field, the less you will be able to hear the PA system. Cover your ears before 3rd down if you don’t like loud noises as they blare the train horn. Like I said, you’ll barely be able to hear it when you’re close to the field Don’t sit in the family section in the 200s as you’ll be right next to a stadium speaker during the national anthem they blast off fireworks and some loud bangs.
  14. There are a few. Fireworks after scores, train horn on 3rd downs, and drunken idiots falling down the stairs.
  15. Please remember to limit Bills discussion to designated threads.
  16. WE GOT THIS!!!! Gonna be such a sweet feeling to finally tie our all-time series record with the Dolphins!! Can't wait to watch Josh Allen and company do their thing, I have a feeling they're gonna bring their all!! GO BILLS!!!!
  17. Go Bills!! Let’s have ourselves a solid game on all levels!!
  18. HAPPY GAME DAY TBD! Snow in Buffalo? No problem—fly south and enjoy the sun for a few days. And apparently, many of you are doing just that and driving up the usually cheap ticket prices at the Hard Rock. Well, for those of you who can afford it, I hope y'all have a great time dancing and celebrating a Bills win in the glow of the afternoon sun. It's the annual Fish Fry in Miami. Party time! GO BILLS !!!
  19. Hi all, I live near the Buffalo area and am planning on attending my very first Bills game this season! I've never been to Highmark Stadium before but since this is our last season in our current stadium, I definitely want to experience a home game there before we move to the new one. I'm looking at potentially making my way over there next weekend when we face the Buccaneers or our upcoming matchup against the Bengals. If I do go next weekend I'll definitely try to attend the Rally Day on Saturday as well! Just a quick question for anyone who's familiar with attending games there. I have a hearing condition which makes it so that I am not supposed to expose myself to loud, sudden noises or it could be damaging for me. To what extent are fireworks, pyrotechnics, and the like used during Bills home games? At what points are they used before/during/after games, what is it like, and approximately how loud do they sound when sitting in the stands? I get that loudness is very subjective lol but any descriptions of what to expect would be helpful. I know the crowd noise in itself can get extremely loud, this type of thing isn't so much a problem for me, it's any loud, sharp, or sudden bang or noise that I need to watch out for. So knowing about anything like that which is used during the games ahead of time will help me greatly in preparing and taking the right precautions. Also I know evening/primetime games might be a bit different in this regard, so I'm specifically asking about games played in the 1 PM or late afternoon slots as that is what I'll most likely be attending. Thank you so much everyone, I look forward to visiting soon for a game! Go Bills!!
  20. Oh yeah. Remember the DOJ got caught lying in a bunch of J6 indictments regarding Kamala's whereabouts on J6. They said she was at the Capitol the whole time, but she was actually at the DNC headquarters where a friggin pipe bomb was found. Kind of a big deal, right Finding? Why was the soon to be first black female VP and sitting US senator at the DNC on J6 and not the Capitol for the certification? Why is Finding not eager to bring this racist, misogynist terrorist bomber to justice? Why did the DOJ lie in indictment documents?
  21. TRAGIC!! Direct File had the lowest participation of all free tax preparation programs, according to a House Ways and Means report. via USA Today. This fact will not stop me from being OUTRAGED or from firing up threads from 12 years ago.
  22. A hole is a hole, if you cant fix this than move.
  23. Today
  24. Because Steve speaks the truth. You don’t have to be an ex nfl WR to recognize that Keon runs lazy routes. What happened to the intensity when he blocked the dude out of bounds? If he gave better effort, me, and others would back off a little.
  25. It isn't skewed. Because all Head Coaches who are coaches for a long time play against bad teams plenty. Tampa were mainly incompetent during Payton's run with the Saints for example. The article isn't doing what you claim it is and the rest is just digs at McDermott because you don't like him.
