Cincinnati because they have zero fear of our team. Why would they? We haven't beaten them. That is a monkey I would like to see this team get off their back - boils down to defense too. The last few meetings they ate up our defense that basically gave up everything underneath and waiting for their timing offense and receivers with good hands to make a mistake - ended up looking like a knife going through butter. They just ate up yards, TOP, and scored on just about every possession. Would like to see if this defense has evolved to challenge the 1st and maybe 2nd reads you have to take away with more elite QB play.

I’m no expert in relationships, but she knows what she wants. I don’t see how anything could possibly go wrong. 🤷‍♂️

The defense was nonexistent on our side. They were cutting through them like a hot knife through butter.

He said good WRs. I know jack squat when it comes to evaluating WR's. Trends are much easier to identify though. If you can find a disappointing WR given where he was drafted that breaks out in year five despite given ample opportunity his first four years to prove himself let me know. Even with bad Browns QB play last year when they targeted Jeudy they had a 94.7% passer rating. When they targeted Moore they had a 42.4% passer rating which put him 98th of 98th qualifying WR's according to PFF. Ideally, if he makes the team he is our 5th WR who I pray will only see the field if one of the top four are injured.

I appreciate the kind words. I suppose I land on the side of upside. I think if Moore can’t produce with Allen then his career is likely cooked, but I feel there is still upside there. If they had given Moore the Josh Palmer contract I would have lost it. But to me, all one year deals are no risk propositions. And I do like Moore better than anyone we could have drafted but I think Jeudy is just better. You hope that Royals or Horton have a year like Moore did last year. I think it is ok to like the signing but also keep hopes in line with what is reasonable.

Pretty sad when Hughes is considered a top 3 defensive end in Bills history. Only two seasons with 10 sacks, zero pro bowls, zero all pros. The Bills don't really have a great history of pass rushers outside of Bruce Smith. Schobel was pretty darn good, though.

I see a lot of people referencing our previous success vs Baltimore, but to me the only match ups I put any weight in from a predictive standpoint occurred last year. This Baltimore offense is much different without Greg Roman who really dragged them down (and will likely do the same for the Chargers). Baltimore is also capable of beating us by more than a TD where KC can never pull away. Ultimately Baltimore just doesn't have the championship DNA, so I certainly understand why so many say it's KC. I can also see a path where Houston could join this conversation which is why I listed them (certainly over the Chargers). That defense they have is very physical. They really eroded with injuries toward the end of the year, but held multiple QB's to some of the worst QBR's in the last decade. Not just Allen, but multiple QB's. Then looking at how they moved the ball on us in the first half. Physical back with Mixon, who is older but still producing. They could give us some issues. Ultimately, I think the general pecking order remains unchanged. It's Buffalo/Baltimore/Kansas City at the very top of the food chain from my view.

No doubt that's part of it. But I think he overplays our hand. What worked in real estate deals - the old "I'll just walk away if you don't take my offer" or "this price is only good for one day; tomorrow it will be higher" - doesn't work so well in international economic or security deals. Add to that the mixed messaging on tariffs. Are they also intended to shift our tax base from income taxes to tariffs? That implies tariffs are a permanent fixture. But how does that fit with the bargaining chip theory? It's still a mess.

Lived in SF area for almost 20 years. Strange seeing robins appear in the fall. Sure is spring here. My landlord told me the other day that they have a nest right iutside their front door with several blue robin eggs in it. In CA we had blue herons that would say on top of the chimneys or in the pond in the Apts I lived in. Saw white egrets many times in creeks or drainsge ditches. Much more common were hawks or turkey vultures circling above the hills. You could tell where there was road kill as the turkey vultures showed up immediately if something was hit. I just heard that there is a bad eagle nest down the street next to Cayuga Creek in Cheektowaga. Maybe that's why we don't have a vermin problem even though the creek is less than 200 ft away. I saw a ring necked pheasant once on the guardrail of the 190 by the Smith Street exit (by Larkinville). Back in the early 60s, used to have hundreds of pheasant tracks in the snow in the yard. They disappeared once they began developing the massive French Road neighborhood in Cheektowaga (just 3-4 mies away).

That's a fair point for sure. The last thing I want to see happen is for small business to get wiped out. Like mine did during the Covid lock downs. The market seems to have responded by coming back to levels just before the post-election bump. I'd like to see the roadmap to the India partnership and trade deals with non-Chinese partners in the Pacific hashed out over the next few months. Yes to more structure and calibrated moves, less chaos. My personal thoughts about the chaos is that Trump uses it as a negotiation tool. I completely understand why many oppose it. And I'm not saying it's the right approach. But I do think the jury is out as to whether or not the resulting trade deals over the next year, and the subsequent effect on the economy over the next five years will be a net-positive or negative. It could be great. There could be a disastrous recession. But the fact remains that we have been kicking the can down the road on the debt bubble for a very long time. And we've gotten to the point where the national debt doubles every 8 years. It's almost 37 Trillion now. It will be 74 Trillion in 8 years... 150 Trillion in 16 years... 300 Trillion in 24 years... 600 Trillion in 32 years and 1.2... what comes after Trillion? In 40 years??? The Obama/Bidenomics of the Democrat party is- debt doesn't matter. I don't know if comprehensive tariffs are the solution. But it's at least an attempt to solve the debt crisis rather than pretending like it doesn't exist.

2006 Week 2 Bills at Dolphins, there was a lot of buzz around the Fins possibly making the playoffs that year whereas hardly anyone gave the Bills a chance at doing anything. I remember being at a sports bar where I was the only Bills fan and there were quite a few Fins fans. The Bills won 16-6 and pretty much handled Miami all game. That was the year that Miami chose Daunte Culpepper over Drew Brees and we all came to realize that, without having Randy Moss to throw to, Culpepper just wasn't that good so it turned out Miami might have been a little overrated. Still, though, everything came together to make that win a particularly enjoyable experience.

I think your comparison to Claypool is a lot closer than any comp to Hollins. I will admit that I haven't watched a lot of Browns football, but I will say that you could see Moore using this speed to gain separation on some occasional deep shots. He can run a go route, and adjusts well to the ball. I also remember watching his first year with the Jets, and being impressed with his speed to the ball on shorter routes-- something Zack Wilson had trouble taking advantage of. I actually think he was better in his rookie year than his numbers suggest. IMO, If he makes the team (kinda doubt he will...) he'll have a role that exploits his speed, but it will be dependent on him developing chemistry with Josh. That's probably more doable for Moore than it was for Claypool (who iirc, suffered an injury in TC?). I would think Moore would have a clearer path onto the 53 than Claypool did, and I think his speed will be enticing to Brady. His biggest hurdle, like Claypool, might actually be his attitude (or perception thereof) which was on full display in year two with the Jets-- something else that makes him very different from Hollins.
