  1. Past hour
  2. It's true that no one could have known what JJ would become, but it was clear that anyone who followed him at LSU, knew what he could become. In 2 years at LSU, 2,415 yards with an average of 14.6 and 24 TDs. There was a lot of potential just sitting there waiting for us to make a move for him and we went with Diggs.........UGH. I see it as just one more blown opportunity that could have put this team over the hump.
  3. Thats alot of money to be bad
  4. i think the concussions and such have him scared. remember the non angles he took on henry in week 1? he's just not an nfl level safety at this point.
  5. October in Berea!
  6. And I don't know why. The Texans also play a base 4-2-5 defense and play even more zone coverage than the Bills. It's not like Poona Ford, who has done better as a NT in a 3-4 on both LA teams. (for the record, I had to look up all this info on other teams' base defenses.)
  7. He's the most ridiculous human I've seen front of a camera, trump or biden excepted. Could be gummies, could be Xanax. But something is off with that lad and it's not senility.
  8. Tim Settle was not very good when he was here and he was here for 2 seasons if I remember correctly.
  9. Then why does it matter if he out snaps Kincaid?
  10. This Wr group must be full, because ain't nobody eating. It's more like everybody snacks
  11. We had one and let him walk. Tim Settle is ranked #5 overall and #7 in run defense among interior defenders.
  12. This is a very fair and complicated question to answer. In some ways, I do feel like Beane has provided a supporting roster good enough to win the Super Bowl. In other ways, I'm tired of him struggling to find high-impact players at key positions (D-Line in particular). At the same time, I feel like McDermott has done a good job with building the locker room/culture. But I also think his defensive scheme fairs poorly in the playoffs, and is becoming more outdated with each passing season. Every January for the past five years, I've asked the same questions... "What is holding us back, and what do we need to change?" Why do we keep winning so many games in the regular season, but just can't get over the hump in the playoffs? Is it injuries? Bad luck? A mental block against the Chiefs? Is it purely a lack of talent? Lack of execution? Poor gameplan? I'll be honest. I'm not 100% sure of the answer. But I do know this. Josh Allen is not the problem. And he won't be playing at this level forever. Maybe it's McDermott. Maybe it's Beane. Maybe it's a combination of both. My point is... if we can't get over the hump THIS year... with literally everything falling into place for us, then we just need to take the chance and replace them both. The worst thing that can happen is we get back to the same place with a different group.
  13. I saw the warming pipes laid under that turf. I hope they remembered to put them under the fake turf sidelines too
  14. Yes, hindsight is very helpful that way. Nobody knew just what Jefferson would become, so it’s not really that easy.
  15. Maybe we should be proactive and bring Rex Ryan back before the Dolphins get him?
  16. I agree but my concern is that the defensive coordinators of the better defenses have an answer for the methodical, run/short pass heavy offense and we're going to struggle against those teams going forward.
  17. Let's not forget that Watson could return soon. LOL the Browns.
  18. Perhaps I should have better qualified the worry I have as I’m not concerned about our offense; it’s the matchups we have on defense vs their offense.
  19. I don’t think Samuel is tradable due to that contract.
  20. Well, it doesn't sound like he was in favor of it. Just like he wasn't in favor of drafting Sanders. Haslem makes decisions on his own.
  21. I'm not criticizing. My point was that a more aggressive offense attacking a stacked box should result in some big plays and 2 or 3 play TD drives. And from what I can tell McD wants to stretch offensive drives out, not shorten them.
  22. Thank you for this!!! I will add that imo there is virtually no such thing as equal power in alomost every phase of life, let alone employment, except perhaps in an ideal marriage. If McDermott and Beane completely disagree on what to do in round one when they are on the clock, what are we to think that these "equals" do? Toss a coin? My guess is that McDermott holds the deciding vote. Could I be wrong? Of course, but the evidence tell me I'm correct. I have had this discussion with a poster who I hold in the highest esteem. He is a football expert and it really isn't so easy to go against him. I don't know, maybe the next time we discuss this issue, he and I should toss a coin.
  23. I didn't read that as he wasn't consulted, more that it just happened quicker than he expected. Probably something like the Bengals needed a decision that day or they were moving on.
