I think any cuts prior to the final preseason game are more about adjusting the roster that will be playing. If you have 4 rostered WRs who won't play, and you only have 4 healthy fringe guys, you may cut a player to add a healthy one so you don't have to expose a roster player.

Shows that even with a mediocre QB, a proper game plan can go a long way. I have full faith in Joe Brady being able to devise a game plan if Mitch had to start a few games to set him up for success. Much more faith in Brady than I would Matt Canada who was his OC when he looked so bad in Pittsburgh.

These type of stories are based solely on fan opinion. The Pegula yacht is a story because the NYC based media have taken the story and ran with it. We all have similar meltdowns when something in NYC is funded.

I think in the Elam pick there was interest in traits they wanted. Speed, length, man coverage chops. But he seemed to really struggle with his composure, tackling, zone concepts escaped him, and his confidence loss led to penalties. Hairston would probably do better to be on the field, but its hard to compare players when the thing that most hurt elam's development was between his ears. -
They're eating the cracker! They're eating the barrel!

Even a blind squirrel occasionally finds a nut. The Eagles won Super Bowl LII with Nick Foles as their QB. Update: there's been no update on Tre's injury from the Bills.

Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?

Agreed. It makes the Bills defensive stats even worse when you consider they have the benefit of playing a weaker Wild Card opponent every season (Colts, Patriots, Dolphins, Steelers, Broncos), while the Chiefs usually get the bye and go straight to a top contender. No doubt, the Chiefs have definitely had some rough playoff games on defense. But they have also had some good ones against top offenses. McDermott's units have showed up twice against Lamar Jackson, but have done less than nothing in the playoffs against Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow. Maybe fans wouldn't be so critical if they actually did SOMETHING positive in any of those games. Nothing crazy. Maybe some pressure on the QB once in a while. Maybe a forced punt here and there. Or how about a turnover? -

from Politifact The U.S. president, defense secretary and U.S. Army secretary are the only people authorized to activate the District of Columbia National Guard. The House select committee on Jan. 6, after its 18-month-long investigation, concluded that official records and witness testimony showed Trump didn’t make that order Jan. 6, 2021. On the day of the Capitol attack, Paul Irving, then-House sergeant-at-arms, first asked Pelosi’s chief of staff for permission to contact the Pentagon for National Guard support at 1:40 p.m. — about 30 minutes after rioters had broken through the barricades surrounding the Capitol. A few minutes later, Pelosi approved Irving’s request. But because of delayed approval from Pentagon officials, National Guard troops didn’t arrive at the Capitol for another four hours, The New York Times reported. how are you going to benefit from the fascists winning?
