Max Hairston reps against Carolina
Ethan in Cleveland replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott has said he doesn't like to rotate guys. When Milano came back last year he played 100% of the snaps even though Williams had played all year to that point. Will be interesting who starts and when Hairston plays the entire game. Im ready for 100% of the snaps for Hairston and White sits. -
With the way Josh has played over the last few games, regardless of not having WRs who can get open, but also missing blitzes and protection calls, and then also missing throws when guys ARE wide open... I say Cook is currently the best player on offense. Of course that title will be fleeting and wont take much from Josh to win it back, but for right now, I give it to Jimbo.

Another typical DC political explanation but sorry I'd rather work on AMERICA FIRST and let them fend for themselves themselves but maybe that's just me .

Why not sign Christian Wilkens to PS and see what he has?
-
He better not pick off Mahomes next week and take it back to the house, that's supposed to happen in the playoffs
-
He is certainly unsung for sure.

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good
Bray Wyatt replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
A game winning drive and a comeback are not the same thing. A comeback is when they are down and comeback to win. Maye was not down in the Bills game, it was tied so does not qualify as a comeback -

Vrabel is a good coach. 10x better than McDermott? Not sure I'd go that far. McDermott has missed the postseason once in eight years. And has been to two AFC title games. -
Most of the time the receivers are not open and they are taking out the checkdown option too. A couple misses, sure but that does not seem to be the biggest issue. It is almost like the defense knows exactly whet the Bills have called- schemes becoming too predictable.

Sadly I think from what I have seen so far with Allen being a bit off this year, Maye has been better in more than just deep passes than Allen. Nothing more outrageous than the Pats returning to prominence so fast. They really need another decade at least in NFL irrelevance. That would be karma. -

Be prepared for it to happen every game, until Brady puts together a solid passing plan.......and maybe getting a decent WR wouldn't hurt. -
Yeah I really liked him. The easy speed and transition ability made him a great fit for our zone heavy defense. Honestly my biggest concern was how he would hold up in man but in this game at least he was lights out. Love his energy out there too.

Thats fine! I have said before Allen is the superior QB right now. I am just enjoying the fact that no one considers the Pats their “get right game” this year. Like I said I expect 10 to 11 wins this year now and that should get them into the playoffs once there anything can happen.. Oh and most Pats fans don’t know much before Kraft took over in the 90’s and Parcells took over and we got Bledsoe. These last 3 years were the first really horrible years the team has had in like 30 years so anyone under 40 had no reference so they overreact when they start doing well again.. thankfully most of our bandwagon fans went to the Chiefs 2 years ago 😂 what we have now are just spoiled fans -
Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
jahnyc replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jags would be crazy to move BJT even with the poor year he is having so far given last year's performance and being on a rookie deal for at least two more years. Jeudy and other WRs in the mix of suggestions for trades may not be available due to their high dead cap cost if traded by the selling team. -

Are you talking about the plays in the video? The second one is not even thrown to moore. The second one josh had three wide open targets, Shakir is open off the play action with a blocker in front, josh didn't throw it. He had moore for an easy TD here. This is imo a perfect play call. Moore has the inside and there is no safety help. Josh just held the ball. then he threw it late and short to Davis who was also open. I also think he could have fired it in their to shavers right away between the corner and safety if he wanted to. -

I think he's a good GM too, and the record backs this up. But he's not a good evaluator of WR talent. People can't be everything. But what he needed to do, several years ago, was to bring in a true WR guru to his scouting dept. A person who knows a good WR from a bad one. One who can say, "et me look around, just stay out of my way". It was known since his fist year here, when he traded a 3rd round pick for Kelvin Benjamin. To me, it was bolstered when he used a 1st round pick for Diggs. It was a way of saying, "I can't find one in the draft, I need to trade for one". Personally, i thought that was a good decision. The Shakir pick was more of an outlier and more of a case of a guy falling into his lap than it was finding a diamond in the rough. I remember watching Senior Bowl practices, watching the CB's and saying "who is this Shakir guy, no one can cover him". Damn, even i knew he was going to provide something to the table. I saw last year's draft as missing a golden opportunity on a very good draft class. It was the wrong pick on the wrong player and the wrong philosophy. There is no shame in understanding your strengths and weakness. And wr evaluation is a weakness for him. So bring in someone to help who has that talent as a strength. -

on the first clip that play is drawn up for Hawes and Hawes only it's not even a two level concept because Shakir isn't even interested in finishing his route lol in general when you have a rollout any receiver behind the QB is not an option -

He looked very solid and competent, especially for a young guy that missed so much time. I expect him to take some lumps next week. And that's fine. Keep getting him snaps and experience leading to the post season. Hopefully, he makes Tre Obsolete soon.
