  1. Past hour
  2. Guys like Bosa, an old established guy jettisoned by his old team due to uneven pay scale and output while still not having that ring, will be prime targets of the Bills. I love what he did so far, but not super attached. Who knows, in 2 years, it may indeed be Simmons, or Nick Bosa (who gets a good word from his brother). Reputation goes around that Bills have a culture and have enough winning to resurrect one's career for that last payday. If your are Beane and McDermott, building that pipeline is more important than extending these guys to an expensive contract. I know this runs counter to the attachment we, as fans, to the players of our team; but strategy wise, it is the way to go.
  3. I think we have at least two 😂. Strong is hurt though
  4. Jackson schooled Will Campbell last year. He has length and pass rushing moves. The game is starting to slow down a little for Jackson, it was too fast at first. Marino broke down his tape earlier this season. Jackson was not doing some of his college pass rushing moves, not using his hands as much- simple stuff to correct with coaching and reps. If Jackson can bring some heat to opposing QBs in playoffs, then Beane knocked this draft out of the park. Max-looks like a superstar TJ- flashed a little, injured, is he coming back? When? Jackson- did it in college Deone Walker- steal of the draft. Massive human with quick feet Jordan Hancock-adds speed and athleticism Hawes- awesome smasher! Dorian Strong- looked good- neck injury. Does he ever return? Chase Lundt on active roster. kudos Beane A+ 2025 Draft
  5. At the end of the day I don't see this offense being able to capitalize on a 2 minute drill to win a game vs a playoff defense nor do I see it likely we come from behind. That is IF the defense can even position us to do so. Maybe we go full Baltimore mode, but we haven't shown any glimpses of that performance since. You can see clear as day how that final drive with this offense is going to play out. We aren't going to be able to run or screen our way to the end zone. That's where I think we are.
  6. I understand, My point was on how the yardage was accomplished by Buffalo and how it relates to the aspect of playing complimentary football.
  7. Think he can run a fly route occasionally?
  8. I imagine Beane is working the phones for a DT or DE plus a WR.
  9. Oh I know, I was commenting on Moran's choice of words. Not sure what Bernard was doing. Seems like he was over-reacting and over-pursuing anyone that came through his zone and got spun around.
  10. More specifically the game-day head coaching game management decisions, which to be fair McDermott has gotten better at but yesterday's effort was poor. Game Management involves making decisions which help maximize your team's chance of winning. For instance the failed 4th down at midfield was one where the risk far outweighed the reward even if it had succeeded. It seemed to be a nod toward the trend of "go for it YEAH i got cojones!!!@" lately in the league; that pendulum may have overswung. The timeout on 4th and 17 speaks to "I don't trust my game week coaching without micromanaging this down." This wasn't an obvious fustercluck like those 1st half TO's were. The play that was aborted by the timeout, Mahomes was under instant pressure because his line was gassed and discombobulated and he had to chuck n' duck, that play was DOA. But thanks to the timeout they get into a much better play, the Bills inexplicably put on a eunuch pass rush on the down and they convert. The FG attempt as well, a punt even through the end zone leaves them at best < :20 and a 20-ball needing a TD. That's a whole lot less threatening than the Chiefs 42. There has to be charts, stats, analytics showing this stuff. You don't need to be a legendary HOF gameday coach but jeez, just be average or get someone who understands this stuff into your headset.
  11. I hope he sticks around for the younger guys on the sideline for the rest of the season. Not sure what team protocol is once a player is ir'd for the year, but hoping he can at least coach up some younger guys
  12. I'm talking about Bernard who allows Rice to come wide open
  13. be sure to not educate the clone on the going rate for DL and we could get him for a vet minimum.
  14. Why is someone on food stamps for 20 years? I thought these benefits are temporary?
  15. Any chance Beane looks for his replacement via trade?
  16. Going forward without him, I hope the intensity and effort I saw Hoecht play with will resonate with the other members of the Bills defense. Adding to it I think we saw that trait and an I get it now moment happen with Bishop at Safety during yesterday and I've already got the impression we're going to see it with Hairston too.
  17. Truth! I saw them use Dorian in the same manner yesterday when Hoecht was getting a breather. Dorian at the line was bouncing around pre-snap and actually made a push on the O-line. I wonder if they will use Dorian in this role now that Hoecht is gone.
  18. I would not add more Josh designed runs until January. I would like to get Cook the ball in the flat more. I would like to see him in the backfield and motioned out wide too. imo, that’s the secret to get the spy off Josh that has clipped his wings in the scrambling game. Cook with a single guy to beat in the flat or on a wheel route is an easy win for the Bills over the long haul imo.
  19. 1st in ypg, 4th in ppg, and 5th in giveaways does collectively tell a great story. To me, these achievements are all kind of mind-bending. I watch this offense and often think Brady doesn't know how to scheme a downfield passing attack, which is a shame when you have a QB like Josh. Yet Brady produces where it matters: points & yards with a paucity of TOs.
  20. All true, but I don't see any "Super Bowl Teams" this year. Every team has flaws. Just need to get in and get hot down the stretch.
  21. Fair enough, but then that leads to the next issue... alignment and why we continue to make simple alignment mistakes on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. That starts and ends with coaching, and the coaches need to do something about it. It isnt just one player in one phase. It's multiple players across all 3 phases, every game. Can't allow it. I wouldnt call it a Bosa Brain Fart. It looked and felt like a screen and he was playing it that way.
  22. Yep. Cos on 3rd and long obvious drop back honestly scheme matters less than talent. Can you now and again craft something in that situation that gets a guy open? Sure. But more often than not that is your guy gotta beat their guy.
  23. Just an untrained eye looking for ways to make our offense more dynamic with the current personnel. 1. The fake WR screen to a blocker who has faked a block and released outside and is streaking down the sideline. A pump by Allen then a schemed deep shot. This play has been setup by the pure volume of screen. Passes to Shakir. 2. Play action bootleg, levels concept with two of the tight ends and a WR as possible targets. 3. QB power Sweep, let Gilliam or Davis lead the way out of shotgun for Josh to get the edge. 4. some read option to keep the defense honest and lower cooks usage slightly. what else would you add in?
  24. There’s a harder ceiling on great defensive plays when the athleticism wanes a bit. Cole nearly had a pick six on Worthy because he was flying in there like a missile. He has not been perfect this year, but if he does recognize a play to be made, he has the wheels to get there. Hyde’s iconic pick against Mac Jones is a TD if he is half a step slower. That’s just how thin the margins can get in coverage. @Simon had the great point that this staff needs to be comfortable taking some lumps with the yoots now so they can progress through the year.
  25. That’s not a surprise because the kind of lucky streak they were on was unsustainable. To still be around the top ten in differential is pretty good.
