Multiple bubbles bursted Sunday night. Corner, Te, linebacker, dt, Qb and Wr all shrunk in numbers. Meaning fewer guys are still fighting to make the roster. I think Cb Jackson played his way out. Codrington is not a viable player on defense. Shanualt or Hamler could be the returner and offer more on offense. Te is Knox, Kincaid, Hawes. Buffalo Joe is a core teamer only and played his way to the bubble. Top 5 DT jones, Oliver, both rooks and Carter. Trubisky is the back up. I would not be surprised if a different qb is on PS. I think Shavers and Moore swapped. Shavers a core teamer and adds some size and juice outside. I could see Hamler as punt returner and back up to Shakir or Moore is on the roster and they keep 6 but doesn't dress.

No, you are the definition of a fan. You are blind to the fact this team is filled with average talent that is elevated by Allen. Beane has whiffed consistently on the top end of the draft. You can beat the “more players in the league than others” drum all you want, the facts are the facts. Yet, there is next to zero top level talent on this team that Beane brought in, especially if you consider the number of swings he’s taken at positions and consistently missed. His ONLY claims to fame are Benford, who was a nice 6th round pick, but that’s not so exciting when you wasted a 1st round pick in the same draft on a CB that essentially never saw the field in the Bills uniform and Cook, who was his 3rd swing at RB with zero hits there too. This team is full of “good” players and no difference makers. The reason this team get bounced, year after year by more talented teams is THEY ARE LESS TALENTED. The reason this team is LAST in available cap space and has exactly 3 guys anyone outside of Buffalo might know on the roster (and that’s actually debatable as most don’t know OL) is piss poor drafting of elite talent. They keep trying to sign their own talent, which only perpetuates the cycle of mediocre talent. Who’s else is super pumped to have top 10 pick, definition of mediocre, Ed Oliver locked up? Or Mr. Glass with 2/3 of a season of above average production on tape at off the ball LB, locked up? Believe what you want, until this team gets real talent in the draft, they will continue to be a brides maid. Beane’s blind eye at WR, DE, S, CB and DT will again be the reason this team will be bounced before the SB, because Allen can only carry two sub par talented sides of the ball so far.

Holy hell can the season start already. Talk to me about the 2024 draft in 2027.

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6560872/2025/08/19/buffalo-bills-bubble-watch-players-cut-roster-2025/ Firmly on the roster (40) QB Josh Allen, RB James Cook, RB Ty Johnson, RB Ray Davis, FB Reggie Gilliam, WR Keon Coleman, WR Joshua Palmer, WR Khalil Shakir, TE Dalton Kincaid, TE Dawson Knox, TE Jackson Hawes, LT Dion Dawkins, LG David Edwards, C Connor McGovern, RG O’Cyrus Torrence, RT Spencer Brown, IOL Spencer Brown, OT Tylan Grable, C Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, DE Greg Rousseau, DE Joey Bosa, DE A.J. Epenesa, DE Landon Jackson, DT Ed Oliver, DT DaQuan Jones, DT T.J. Sanders, DT Deone Walker, LB Terrel Bernard, LB Matt Milano, LB Dorian Williams, NCB Taron Johnson, NCB Cam Lewis, CB Christian Benford, CB Tre’Davious White, S Taylor Rapp, S Cole Bishop, S Damar Hamlin, S Jordan Hancock, K Tyler Bass, LS Reid Ferguson. … Looking like a good bet to make it (6) QB Mitchell Trubisky, WR Elijah Moore, DE Javon Solomon, LB Joe Andreessen, CB Dane Jackson, CB Dorian Strong Trubisky has been the better of the two backup options over the last two weeks and seems closer than not to securing the job again. Moore has had a really nice camp and gives the Bills a strong backup option at slot receiver should anything happen to Shakir, and Moore could even play Z-receiver and return kickoffs or punts. Solomon has had a strong camp and is a likely core special teams contributor every week in 2025. Andreessen’s game against the Bears didn’t go well, but he remains the top backup middle linebacker and a staple of their special teams units, even if they brought someone else in. Jackson had some difficult moments in the preseason game against the Bears, but the Bills trust him in their system and he plays a lot of special teams. Strong has had some nice moments during camp, and though inconsistent, there is enough potential there to not risk putting him on waivers. … Curtis Samuel Samuel is the biggest name on this list, along with the most guaranteed salary of anyone, but it’s been yet another disappointing summer from a Bills perspective. Last year, he dealt with a toe injury for most of the practices and was an in-game afterthought for much of the season once healthy. This year, a hamstring injury suffered on July 25 has kept him from taking a single rep of team drills since. The Bills, who grew frustrated enough with linebacker Baylon Spector’s injury history to move on mid-camp, are likely feeling similar frustrations about Samuel. The receiver’s $6.9 million salary is fully guaranteed, but to move on, the Bills wouldn’t be taking on that much more to their 2025 cap. If they feel stronger about another receiver or two that have shown well during camp, they won’t let a guaranteed salary get in the way of keeping their best 53. Samuel needs a big week to secure his spot.

He was very good for us. That said, he should have been off the team the second he pulled that nonsense during the Bengals playoff game. Despite the desperate attempt by some of the people on the board to make him out to be "a team first fierce competitor" Diggs was 100% about Diggs. The guy is high on talent and low on emotional maturity.

Looks awesome. I did Piegan Pass and a few others 5 years ago, but still want to do the Highline Trail. -
Now do the rest of day 2 since you brought it up. Spencer Brown (top 5 at position) Devin Singeltary (Average Starter) Dawson Knox (Above Average Starter) Zack Moss (Above Average Backup) Terrel Bernard (Above average Green Dot Starter) Dorian Williams (Above Average Backup, likely starter next year) Dewayne Carter (Below Average Backup > still time) Landon Jackson (way too early to tell) Doing pretty good in this round with a top 5 player and multiple starters. I also wish he would do better in round 1 and 2 but the reality is he hit at the most important position on a bet that was universally panned. Combined with very good day 3 drafting results in Beane being one of the top 5 drafters in the league (as documented by multiple metrics). Pretty much what I said in the other thread lol. Ive been watching too much cover 1.

I disagree. If Shenault has a positional advantage over Coddy, it’s that Shenault can potentially play multiple roles on ST, not just returner. Not sure much weight that carries, or if the coaches would want their return man to also be a core special teamer.

He was very good, but 17 makes WRs better. Towards the end instead of being a leader, he sulked like a little baby without a rattle. Glad he is gone
-
2nd best maybe the best physically but Megatron could be in the discussion too but Rice just dominated like nobody else.
-
But he always disappears after the first regular season Jets game You gotta love him...
-
I don't know who has worn 17 for the Bills in the past but I am pretty confident that no Bills player will ever wear 17 in the future. Josh will have his number retired just like 12,34 and 78 did.

Training Camp News - Around the League version

Judon signs with dolphins. A bit of a dirty player including history with our very own Allen and the trip -
I’m going to say (all things considered) Diggs is the best WR the bills ever had. Reed played longer. Reed also played on a team surrounded by HOFers for much better coaching. Put Diggs on the 90s Bills and Im pretty sure the numbers are astounding. It ended bad with Diggs so it’s going to be unpopular. He’s the best WR we ever had. How good was he? That good. Better then all the other Bills
-
Correct, my bad. Still the consequences of having no talent at a position they wasted a first round pick on.

Wasn't there a thread about the same thing last year after the Bills lost to Chicago 33-6 in the preseason. I searched for the game thread from last year's preseason game to compare over reactions of doom and gloom from a meaningless game, but it looks like it was deleted. Everyone had the Bears winning the division and the Bills not making the playoffs after that game.

He was very good. For a few years around the 4-5th best WR in football with Allen. That offense was hell on wheels. He was a monster. As a fan I cant be mad at how he ended. Seems like the point was how are we going to win it all by doing the same thing.
-
No Josh Allen, no starters, that's what happens. The players that were out there Sunday night looked tired and disinterested, for guys trying to make a football team it was shocking to see that. I get that it's only a preseason game but preseason games exist to get your team prepared for the regular season and to figure out who your backups are. I don't think the coaching staff learned anything re-watching that mess other than we punted well.

If you want to view a Friday meeting in Alaska with one side, a Monday meeting with the other, and plans for both sides to get together as “no progress” then you are free to do so. In light of actual “no progress” ever since the last administration gave the ok to a minor incursion, many people see these first steps as signs of progress. They are free to do so. I doubt that answer is simple enough for a deep-thinker such as yourself, but there you have it.
-
I would put him in a notch below ELITE. I watch Jefferson and Chase and they never take themselves out of the game. Diggs did that a lot. But he was "DAMN GOOD".
-
No, Diggs has never performed at big moments in elimination playoff games. Christ, people.
