Let's take a second to appreciate James Cook
Buffalo716 replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't even think he takes many very very big hits He's very slippery and knows how to take a hit also -
Gabe seems like he would replace Coleman more than Samuel. I think Samuel has way more skill than Coleman, if he can stay healthy, and we start throwing him the ball. As raw as Coleman looks, not sure he could start on a lot of college teams. (Although he probably could on my beloved Wolverines, as we have one of the worst WR group in America. We just love to run run run...Play some pretty nasty defense... And run run run some more.)

I admittedly didn't analyze him play to play. But the fact that our Defensive Line played as well as it did against the Chiefs while he was in for 14 snaps and that they chose to sign him over Zion Logue, even though we still had 1 activation left on Mathis and don't have any with Logue is telling. They must have liked what they saw from him in Practice and when he was in for his elevations against the Patriots and Chiefs. That said (barring injuries), I have to imagine he moves back to the Practice Squad (if he clears Waivers) in 2-3 weeks when T.J. Sanders is ready to return. Unless we want to carry 6 DT's (which we have done before) or he proves to be more valuable than Jordan Phillips.

I am excited about the potential upside of DT Phidarian Mathis

You missed step 6: Phidarian -
It would probably just be easier to just list the players who are not hurt…

Pickens was a trade.

I wonder how miserable you'd all be if we had a bad GM?
-
How bout he plays 3 games in the NFL as DB first?

Trade Deadline has come and gone
BillsFanForever19 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yet he wasn't traded to anyone. Which means one of two things to me - either that "2nd" they reported was inaccurate or they simply weren't interested in moving him, when push came to shove. I find it quite frankly incredibly unlikely that if he was actively being shopped for a 2nd that there wasn't a single team amongst 31 teams that was interested. -
Regardless, if the Bills do not win the Super Bowl this year... No matter how they are eliminated or who they lose to, the #1 subject/reason will be injuries... just like the season a couple of years ago when we finally hosted the Chiefs in the playoffs. We're hurting like that season's Bills team.. already.. And that SUCKS

Trade Deadline has come and gone
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man hearing that Beane press conference today almost sounded like Buffalo Sabres GM talking about nobody would come here because we don't have palm trees and taxes. I get that he feels like he had to explain himself but i wished he'd have just said there was nothing out there that made sense and moved on instead of the whole "It takes 2 to tango" garbage (Again I understand it was probably the truth but I hated it). Also now I'm hearing how he was trying to go after multiple top WR at the deadline. After bitching to the fans and the hosts on WGR about wanting a WR when Allen just broke records is comical to say the least, why not just sign a real WR in FA? DK was out there, George freaking Pickens, I just don't understand the refusal to upgrade it and even if things like the Cooper deal don't work out just keep trying. This guy cares more about the future than the present and as long as he isn't squandering all the picks on bums we should be fine. -
Hilarious. The 'anonymous' (correct spelling) Twitter poster has 71 thousand followers. Doesn't mean that he is correct of course, but it is so funny that you automatically take Frank N Beans opinion over him.............................because you don't agree with him.

It is not as easy as people think it is. And no one on this board judges other coaches as harsh as they judge McDermott. A couple weeks back I watch Kyle shanahanntake a terrible second half timeout to get the defense right. Yet I bet people think he is far superior.

For people worried about Cook's # of carries, Thurman carried 288 times in 91 [16 game schedule], he also caught 62 passes. He wan't much bigger at 5-10 200#. Cook 5'11 - 190# is on pace for 325 carries [17 game schedule] but is only on pace for 28 receptions. -
https://www.cincyjungle.com/cincinnati-bengals-rumors/179830/trey-hendrickson-asking-price-nfl-trade-deadline-dallas-cowboys-news Buffalo should of been in on him. He's every it worth a 2nd. Of course we'd need them to eat some of his cap though
