Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
Buffalo716 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've never said we don't have good football players In fact I'm usually one of the only people here defending McDermott and saying we have enough talent to win a super bowl We are never healthy in January and February... We had 11 players on the injury report going into our playoff game last year you're not going into Arrowhead and winning with 11 players on the injury report The talent margin is way too small... That's it If the Chiefs playoffs without their starting safety and number one corner we're going to beat them by a lot more than three in the playoffs -
If Poyer played his usual in-the-box role, his speed doesn’t matter as much

Allen vs Mahomes, is this a controversial take?
C.Biscuit97 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills have had 5 top defenses with Allen 5 times in his career. The Bills have a universally regarded top 5 o line. They have a top 5 rb. Allen had the same OC for the first 4 years of his career, which rarely happens. allen is the best bills qb ever at the absolute worst a top 3 qb qb right now. But this act where he has been surrounded by a bunch of crap is pretty misleading. Reid was a choker before Mahomes (who had 5,000 yards and 50 tds passing in a season in college and Feid traded up to get). Maybe, and this is crazy, Mahomes is just a great qb on his own. They traded a top 3 wr and won 2 more SBs. Were fans and Allen is one of the greatest things that has ever happened to this franchise. But we love putting down the rest of the team, other qbs to raise Allen up (the general “you”). Allen is good enough where this doesn’t need to be down. But almost any other Bills fan would say the qb who has won 3 SBs and is 4-0 (as stupid as qb won- loss record) against the other one in the playoffs is probably better. the Beautiful part is the Bills and Allen can change that discussion this year. -
Optimism: Allen will continue to evolve by distributing the ball and begin running less and less Cook, OL, and other backs will provide a consistent rushing attack Healthy Kincaid catches 80 balls Knox one of my favorites on the team makes 25 catches for 4 TDs and scores a TD in the SuperBowl Pessimism: Nah I'm not going there now. Bring on the Ravens!

Wish his mother was around to watch him get drafted. Sad. But a piece like this had much more emotion and drama than Hard Knocks and it was half an hour shorter.

I’m concerned about Damar Hamlin and Cole Bishop playing. We don’t know if Bishop can be a viable starter. We already know Damar is below average. Those are 2 of our top 3 safeties. I hate to say it, but there’s a slim possibility that Poyer is better than both of those guys. Unlikely, but possible (sadly). If things go south opposite Rapp (or when Rapp gets injured), after Hancock or Lewis, he can probably give McD what he wants out there better than the other options not on a practice squads. doesn’t seem like we have the money for the guy everyone wants- Justin Simmons. Or maybe there’s more to his situation that we know.

Playoff record, rule changes and the Bills

You are comparing 16 years to 5 years. So it’s not apples to apples yet until you get the remaining 11 years. -
Playoff record, rule changes and the Bills
Buffalo Ballin replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bingo! When situations get tougher, McD crumples like paper. Dead @ss. This team starts and ends with Josh Allen. Sprinkled with good O-line. Maybe some cameos from RB James Cook this season. -

Some weight should definitely be placed on McD being one of Reid's protégés. It seems like Reid just knows his system as well as McD does, and it’s probably good that McD brought some new coaching blood in on that side of the ball. On top of that this team doesn’t really have any guys on defense who can elevate and play above the scheme which makes life easier for opposing OCs. -
Playoff record, rule changes and the Bills
RoscoeParrish replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hear you, but what “actually did happen” is that the playoff seeding rules changed, giving the Bills opponents in round 1 that would not have made the playoffs in previous years, instead of a bye for the Bills to rest their players. That’s what did happen. That’s part of my point. we may have had a worse win total in the playoffs, but with the advantage of a bye, maybe we change the results of at least one of those other games. -
Reasons for optimism, has needle moved at an improved roster this year?
Chaos replied to Jistafan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Continuity. The most important factor in winning championships in sports is continuity. 2025 Bills are the epitome of continuity. -
It was a great watch! Thanks. Go Bills!!

What is better, no guns, or more guns?
aristocrat replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Mental illness, trans people used to be labeled as mentally ill. This would bar them from owning guns. Since they have such a high rate of suicide it could lower their suicide rate as well. -
Playoff record, rule changes and the Bills
Dafan replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can't say that whatsoever. You're saying that in 4 of those years, the Bills would have had a bye. Which means they could have rested more and played better. You can't just eliminate their wins and expect the same results in the rest of the play offs. -

Fun fact once the NFL goes to an 8 team playoff the Bills will get the 1 seed every year. -
I just peeked around other teams practice squads to see if any of the bills cuts landed elsewhere - I don’t see any ex-bills anywhere yet which is pretty interesting. I’d thought there would be some interest in some of the younger O-lineman (Gouraige, Mike Edwards, even Jacob Bayer) that the bills didn’t retain - but maybe this just shows how thin the margins are for these fringe players to hold onto their NFL dreams. (I did notice the Jags put TE Quinton Morris on their practice squad. I thought he had a good chance to be TE2 with the Jags but obviously didn’t work out. Any injuries happen to the bills TE’s, I’d expect them to bring Q back).

There weren't any cuts I didn't like or thought were surprising. It was pretty much as expected. What did surprise me a little bit is that not a single player from the veteran pool of QB Mike White, WR K.J. Hamler, WR Laviska Shenault, TE Zach Davidson, OT Richard Gouraige, LB Edefuan Olofoshio, or S Darrick Forrest were brought back on the Practice Squad. I thought there were multiple people from that list, if not most, would be back on the Squad. Not a single one was a bit of a shock.
