  1. Past hour
  2. If this defense had a top 5 safety they would be dominant.
  3. I get "it's preseason" but I also think some on here underestimate how competitive these guys are. They fight at training camp practices because tempers run hot. They want to crush each other at Fortnite, table tennis, basketball, golf, checkers... These high profile athletes (backups or not) are simply not wired to suit up, go onto the football field in front of thousands of people plus those watching on TV and allow themselves to be embarrassed, pushed around, and pancaked "because it's just preseason" and "we're just backups anyway." A lot of these guys are trying to make the team, trying to put good things on film in case they are cut loose in a couple weeks. This is their career. If players don't screw around and dog it because "it's just practice" then why would they do so in a game? So I think there are concerns, such as getting little pressure from the DL. This is a continuing theme. So is the coverage. With Allen we can score enough points and put enough pressure on the other team that we win games. But what we saw is more of the same. None of this means the team won't look much different in the regular season, obviously. But you'd like to see some signs of life from the DL especially. Or WRs not dropping passes. Or DBs not getting abused out there.
  4. Except winning the World Series. 😉
  5. Im little surprised and optimistic about Coleman sitting out with the starters. Him sitting and Palmer playing is an interesting development. I think Palmer was expecting to come in and be a focal point of the offense. Im not sure thats the case. Coleman seems to be running away with the top role at WR.
  6. Hancock with mistakes looks better than Hamlin. We may need to bring in another S. Hamlin as a starter is bad. I think the most we should offer Hamlin is a PS spot. But McD likes him. Bishop isn't there yet. Plus, he's better at strong safety than free. Moore needs to get some time with Josh throwing the ball. And we know Samuel won't make a full season. But I think Shavers makes the roster this year. So maybe Samuel to IR. Gore gets to the PS I hope.
  7. Missing out on 5 hours of pure nut scratching, seed spitting, occasional action!
  8. Shenault has been playing Gunner too
  9. If I am honest, they are seeing an opening to not even game plan and run whatever they want knowing success is inevitable... kidding aside, there was really no silver lining... they ran, screened, quick hitches, rolled out, got the ball to recievers in space, downfield throws, QB scrambles, bully ball in the red zone... literally the Bears... just did whatever they wanted... nothing that we have done all pre season would make a team shy away from any portion of their playbook... Not trying to push you off... but also I dont see a SB team with a pass rush as bad as our and run stopping as bad as ours and failure rate on 3rd and long as bad as ours... we were last in the league at forcing punts last year...
  10. When damar Hamlin is a starting safety and Cole bishop looks like a train wreck it absolutely should give you pause for concern. Not to mention t. Rapp hits like a freight train and injures your own players throughout the season where depth is limited while at the same time running a 4.8 fourty yd dash. Tre white being your 2nd starting corner after Achilles and acl tear. That secondary could be a real problem. Maybe they play great, and I get it’s only preseason. However I don’t think it’s outlandish to be mildly concerned. Especially after we have seen this same story the past 7 years and we all know how it ends. Even with a pyor and Hyde back there in their prime.
  11. All remain potential season ruiners imo
  12. He is in like the 8th percentile for all time winning percentage.....he does that by fielding wimpy teams?
  13. I think this is right... our ability to get off the field in 3rd and long was not good enough... and I agree turnovers really did save us.. without those I am not sure we get the 2nd seed... bottom line all of us (or most of us minus the trolls) want a superbowl win.. we have lived our entire lives without one.. its easy to pick out flaws, much harder to correct... but the bottom line to me is this defense as it stands is soul sucking to watch, we can stat away, but we all know we dont get off the field, nor are we a feared defense ... can you imagine what that defense would rank if we had JP Losman, or Fitz, or Edwards, or Peterman or Manuel at the helm... with lots of quick 3 and outs... we shant forget the fact they have the benefit of Josh grinding 5,6,7 minutes off the clock in sustained drives while they are resting.. can you imagine if they were the Colts defense, or the Raiders, or the Jets... the "stats" would be atrocious... we need to be better...
  14. If you recall preseason 2024, certainly the media and maybe a chunk of the fanbase were extremely pessimistic regarding the Bill’s outlook going into the season. More experts were picking the Dolphins and Jets to win the division than the Bills. Too many veteran losses, too many holes. The reality? Josh Allen MVP, 13 - 4 and as close to a Super Bowl as the Bills have been in the Allen Era. Going into 2025, I was optimistic as can be for two reasons. One, the schedule is as favorable to the Bills as humanly possible. No overseas trips, almost all of the hardest games are at home. Two, loading up on D in the draft hopefully would add some additional speed and talent so that we avoid a playoff collapse on the D side. i get that it is preseason and I get that preseason is essentially meaningless but I’m no where near as optimistic heading into the season, again for two reasons. One, last year’s turnover count and turnover differential were off the charts good. It would be miraculous to repeat those numbers. Two, like many on the board, just not seeing much of anything from Bishop, Hairston (injured), Sanders, Jackson or Walker. So what say you, do the two preseason games have you less optimistic or still bullish on the upcoming season?
  15. I would love that......even in the regular season, it is not always easy to see what DL they are rotating in. They could use colors to show who is new for that play.
  16. Jimmy Ciarlo makes plays when hes playing. Jordan Hancock had a nice play. Frank Gore Jr has had a great preseason, besides his bad fumble. Shavers has had a great Preseason. Brad Robbins too. Hoecht is MVP of Preseason TJ and Walker flashed. Solomon flashed. I don't give a crap about getting blown out. Preseason is about individual evaluation. 2 games in, who else splashed? Who else won their 1/11th battle?
  17. I’ve never understood how ‘clocking’ the ball is not intentional grounding, or at the very least, delay of game or unsportsmanlike conduct. It’s obviously a desperation action to save seconds from ticking off the clock. The team spiking the ball is trading a down for an unofficial time out. How is that within the spirit of the game?
  18. It was a different situation because he wasn't on the field and wasn't playing...but Josh did it last week against the Giants. The timing couldn't have been better either. Early 3rd Q I think, Dawkins was being interviewed on the sideline. The reporter was asking him how JOsh has grown over the years and his leadership. As Dawkins was talking about Josh's leadership, the camera went on Josh, who let out a good 10 second yawn. I chuckled to myself and thought, "if that was anyone but Josh, that might be a little concerning"
  19. I get what you’re saying. Outside of the Bengals divisional game and the first AFC title game every game the Bills have lost they could have easily won. They just don’t make plays when it matters. I’ve said it about 100 times, people always want to blame something. The Bengals lost we need offense, the 13 second game our coaching cost us, two years ago it was injuries and kicking, last year it was Benford/Elam, when the truth is despite all of that the Bills had the game in their grasp and squandered the opportunity to take it
  20. Bit of a nuanced take: My biggest issue with the base defense is I don’t feel like it’s the type of defense that has success at the highest level/in the playoffs. Making things more complicated is that it is often successful in other situations. The Bills need to be doing the things that the best defenses do, especially in the playoffs, throughout the regular season. Play more man, play more 4-3, stunt more, be more aggressive in general and roll the dice. Force the offense to do something rather than read and react. by doing these things more often in the regular season, they will be more prepared to do them when they need them. In a sense you trade some of your regular season capital(?) for post season success.
  21. That Melania letter is underrated. I really think she struck a chord in Putin's ten-sizes-too-small heart. Someday we'll look back at that as the turning point. Imagine if Barack Obama had had Sasha and Malia write Putin a Christmas card. Crimea would still be free Ukraine. But that's where Trump is a master negotiator and Obama, Biden, Bush, hell, even JFK were rank amateurs. Did any of them ever sell steaks?
  22. I'm not gonna say the Bills 2024 defense was very good. I think they were a slightly above average defense. Capable of shutting down bad offenses and capable of handling average to better than average offenses but susceptible to get light up by top 10 offenses as they did have happen to them several times. But I think the least amount of punts forced is damming but I also think that is inflated by the Bills being 3rd in turnovers forced and the Bills being comfortable seeding field goals as they had a strong red-zone defense (29% TD percentage 2nd best in the league in terms of redzone defense). I think the Bills defense forcing a lot of turnovers and their philosophy to force their opponents to kick field goals to keep up with the offense of the Bills drove that stat. BUT what also drove that stat was the horrendous third down percentage. The Bills easily could have force 1 more punt a game by getting teams off on a long third down. So I do think that the third down defense is going to be a big factor for how much this team can improve.
  23. Why is it no matter how much proof you have that brings the truth to the fore front weather it's video, audio, written word, or transcripts that spell out exactly what happened why do the kool aid drinkers stay the course no matter what and continue to believe the BS . I was having a conversation with a young person the other day and he still believes that the Russian collusion thing was the gospel, even after they have found enough evidence to prove it to be a complete lie from the very start yet this guy despite all that this administration has done to uncover fraudulent gov't spending, & the lies that were put together to investigate a American citizen unlawfully based on the lies that were told prior to taking office he still believes the BS . The same with them finding the check SIGNED BY JOE they all still believe oh no Joe would never do such a thing and he along with his entire family are innocent despite the fact that just hours before Trump was to be instated as the new POTUS Biden signed all of these pardons basically proving the point that any one pardoned was more than likely guilty of something . Then the thing that the opposition can take the lies and run with them for 4+ years and the kool aid still tastes great to those who believe and those that perpetrated the lies . I asked the same fella when the Russian thing was brought up exactly how do you feel about Obama now knowing that he was the one that got behind this and allowed a lot of the things that happened to happen and his reply was despite the lies, "Oh I still think he's a better person than Trump, Trump is all about doing things for himself and doesn't care about the people" Despite the fact that they lied to everyone in the world not just here in the US about all of that stuff he still thinks Obama is a better person ???? It just baffles me to no end how anyone could have blinders on to all of the crap that has been pulled . I voted for Trump simply because I thought he was a the lessor of 2 evils & I wanted someone that wasn't a career politician and knew how to run a business that could maneuver through good and bad decisions both because no one makes great decisions all the time yet can use their personal experiences to learn from them and apply them to other situations, but the evil to this day was and is a lot worse (and has been proven to be) than any of us had thought and I surely am glad that Kamala didn't get in because you want to talk about turning this country into a total cluster F event if that F tard would have been elected god help us all ... Then now even though there ar people young ladies posting that they feel much safer riding around DC in their cars and are glad there is something actually being done those that want a lawless society protest the fact and then those people some here that say he a dictator . Weather they know it they are at the root of the problem, freedom is one thing but having no rules or laws to live by is a totally different ball game allowing criminals more rights than law abiding citizens is WRONG on every level, but that's what they are after a society that can't tell them what they can & cannot do ... But the bottom line is, and I have said it even in all the things brought up against this POTUS, if they have proof positive beyond a shadow of a doubt then send them to jail yet that will never happen ...

  24. I looked at the Tacoma and Colorado at the end of 2023 and went with a 2023 Colorado. At the time it was a much more modern truck as the Tacoma wasn't getting a makeover until 2024. I have been very happy with my Colorado, and the 2.7 turbo max is a beast. Over 400 lb-ft of torque. I think the Tacoma's reputation for incredible reliability is based more on the trucks of 10-20 years ago than the current version.
