I didn’t know that was an option. -

Tony Romo -“It’s like Nick Sabans Alabama teams against MTSU”
Utah John replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall
What this was, was a very good NFL team playing an inferior roster with an incredibly bad QB. The Jets do have some talent but they lost their MLB who always gave Josh fits, and far more important was their incredibly terrible QB. On the first Jets possession he had a wide open receiver for a 20 yard gain and a first down, and he overthrew him by at least five feet. Strawberry Fields kept making terrible decisions, or no decisions except to get sacked. The Bills beat a very strong Ravens team and they refused to let down against an inferior opponent. They play the guys on the other side of the field, and the beat them. I don't care about stats, I care about winning, comfortably like yesterday if possible. On to facing the Dolphins who gave it their all yesterday but lost anyway, which probably means they know their season is over. Play tough, Bills. Yeah, no. CBS has a contract to show games, and Romo and Nance (who's usually a lot better) have contracts to show up. Romo in particular makes a fortune whether he's broadcasting or not. Their problem yesterday was, it was a boring game except for us! -
They did dude. Sorry facts are hard for u.

Joey Bosa signs with Buffalo. 1 year, $12.6 million
Mikie2times replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, we are talking about his time in Buffalo and if you want to go pre injury in Buffalo, I will double down. He couldn't set the edge nearly as effectively as Bosa can. He could win with his quickness at times but he lose gap integrity in the process. -
Didn't see this till now. "On the hot seat"? It would just be a dumb take. Way way way too early, not just after the Jets game but after the Ravens. It was week one. Could it eventually happen if the defense plays badly over a long period of time? Yeah, absolutely. But it's nowhere near that point now.

SoCal Deek replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall
While Romo’s comment was spot on, I’d be interested to see if the league or network doesn’t have a word with him. He and Nantz together made that one of the worst broadcasts I’ve listened to in recent years. The announcers job is to keep eyeballs on screens…..not to make you question whether your time would be better spent cleaning the gutters. -

Random talking head says something about the Bills
JESSEFEFFER replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think those JA texts that were dropped just prior to the draft sort of Josh in a certain bucket in the minds of some. Once there, it's tough to change. Not sure about this particular person and their reputation but I always thought this: 1) If we were all to be judged by what our 15 year old selves said about any particular topic, we'd all be put in the idiot bucket. 2) Whoever dropped that information to the press, probably hoped Josh would fall in the draft to come to their pick. Wild if that helped the Bills get him. Even wilder if the Bills somehow made that happen. -
Who would you rather start vs the Jets? Tre’Davious or Strong
NewEra replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great game Tre. He made plays when they came his way. Solid tackling, which is what I was worried about. Keep it going -
He's only played in 78 games. Allen by comparison had played in 126. Burrow tore his ACL in his rookie season. I think we can just say that he's injury prone and there's nothing more to it. Of course Cincy should be aware of that and build the team accordingly moving forward from here. Burrow needs elite pass protection and a scheme that gets the ball out of his hands fast.

Game week thread - Dolphins at Bills TNF

Snap counts vs Jets (47 total) DTs: Sanders 23, Walker 22, Jones 22, Logue 16 DEs: Bosa 26, AJE 26, Groot 25, Solomon 23 -
The Jets are clearly a year away at best from being a playoff team. I thought their o-line and RB's could give the the DT group without Ed some issues. Because Simpson and Tippman are good players there. But dam the Jets Oline that handled TJ Watt and the Steelers was complete handled by the Bills missing their best DT and arguably best D-linemen. The Jets issue is that they have bad ownership off the field and on the field they don't have a QB and are missing a few other pieces elsewhere (They need a WR2 and maybe one additional complementary offensive weapon and a few additional pieces on defense). Glenn is trying to just right the ship and build a culture. I think it was smart for them to tank a year and clear out their contracts and likely get a top 10 draft pick and put themselves in position to trade up for a QB and have the cap space to add some pieces on offense and defense. But their longer term fortunes are going to rest on can they figure things out off the field with ownership and how good a QB can they get?

Yesterday’s game overall was boring but not in a bad way. The Jets are just so uncompetitive that it takes the fun out of it. It is how I watch Alabama/MTSU or Ohio State vs Kent State or UGA vs The Jacksonville State. Im just watching and cleaning the kitchen, scrolling on my phone…. The Ravens game I held my pee because I didn’t want to miss a snap.

MikePJ76 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was live apparently so when i clicked on it there were random fans talking. Yea that was joe at the start. the one guy was nuts, said he was going to shoot his jets inflatable in his yard then randomly dropped that he just got home from surgery. Like an snl skit -
HATED the conservative 3rd and 4 run call in the redzone before halftime. More carries for Ty. That's the move
