I think at this point a reasonable expectation for this defense is to get a turnover or two and make a few big stops. They got a few big stops today. Too expect more with Oliver and Hoecht out is probably a long shot.

If the Bills had a good defense I think Allen would just look pedestrian and Bills would be winning games much more easily.

It can. But look at it another way Chase's contract came up. Burrow lobbied to sign him to a big deal. Ownership gave it to him. Burrow pushed for Geiseki to be brought back. Ownership gave it to him. Burrow pushed for them to keep Higgins. Ownership gave it to him. He didn't give them a hometown rate either. Spending all the money the way Joe wanted wasn't wise. Bills play like that in the first two quarters like today they will be out of the playoffs early. This team is extremely erratic and need to put it together all 4 quarters and be consistent. Nice comeback win, but not a recipe for long playoff success.

The problem with Mahomes is that he fakes “injuries” all the time then comes back fine. This however looked really bad, and unless his State Farm acting coach is incredible, he really looked in pain. this one looks tough
