Massively hope I’m wrong, but if Beane is wrong this could be a big step toward his exit. My hope is that after an 80 catch, 1300 yard 8 TD season I will look like a histrionic over reactor.

McGovern says he hasn’t heard from the Bills at all, that he prefers to stay and that he is willing to accept a deal for less than maximum (what ever that means). I would think that Beane would at least talk to them.

We have to hope (or maybe it’s a wish) that Brady was constrained by McDermotts philosophy. And that he’s smart enough to get top coordinators. I am not overly optimistic, however.

Most likely yes. But Beane also very much seems like the type of guy to backstab someone who questions him rather than admit he has been part of the problem. McD should have kept his complaints in house. But maybe he did for a long time and learned that it was not effective. Mistakes all around, and now attempts at damage control.

The roster is widely viewed as inadequate. If the coach is not allowed to question that, then that is a problem. Of course, how you question that can also be a problem.

To me the concern is what this means going forward. I could see Beane and Pegula as reasons not to work for the Bills now. Josh might outweigh that now, but maybe not in a few years.
