I think they always end up with a terrible qb sometimes through no fault of their own so it always seems like Tomlin is getting the most out of his talent but im not sure that he is tbh this year the defense has been bad on top of the offense who added Rodgers,DK, and Jonnu smith not being very good either. It made sense for Tomlin to get the benefit of the doubt up to this year but I’m not really sure where they go from here if they don’t crack that 9 or 10 win threshold/first round playoff exit

JA breaks Cam Newton’s record in Carolina - Classic
BigDingus replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh is only 5 rushing TDs away from tying Cam's record for most rushing TDs by a QB. Right behind him is Jalen Hurts, who only has 10 less rushing TDs than Josh. -
Doubful in my view as they might be peaking too soon. They play at 4-3 Pittsburgh, 3-4 Atlanta, and at 4-3 Kansas City, 3-4 Houston, at 4-3 Jacksonville, at 5-2 Seattle, and 5-3 San Francisco, Jacksonville, at Houston. Danny Dimes at QB, I suspect he could fall on his face at some point. Tough to trust him.

One of the things I've noticed over many visits to various places there on business is how poorly the airport at Kingston is set up to withstand high waves. The Intl. airport is south of the land mass, and there is a lengthy causeway you must drive over to get there. When I was travelling there, there was no effective breakwater to protect this long roadway, and I remember thinking that if they ever had a close hit from a hurricane there would be no way to protect the airport or use it for relief efforts. We'll see.

That’s what the Defense could be right there
JerseyBills replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's on the DL but ya Dalton had some easy throws that were just terrible -
IF there wasn't a consensus opinion that the team lacks a WR1 .....then Maybe saying his off the field life is affecting his game would hold more water for me. Clearly conjectures are all over the place in regards to why his play isn't perfect we will see if any moves are made before the trade deadline to help this situation WR1 or the Bills stand pat. film at 11

Might be more of a Brady problem Not much you can do in 12 and 13 personnel but I'm a bit concerned as well
-
He only has played 2 1/2 games all season.

I think he’s getting frustrated with all the short routes. Jmo. It’s like the Bills passing game is designed to play in a box. Defences don’t respect them going deep anymore because they don’t even attempt deep shots. So basically almost every passing play is like working close to opponents endzone. Windows are tighter, WRs are more bunched up, reads are tougher and throws gotta be more accurate. Anyone who has played sports before knows what it feels like to be in a situation where they feel they gotta rush a pass or shot before they think an opening will close. Sometimes you just don’t get what you want on it. I think that’s what happening with a lot of Josh’s off throws. He’s making multiple reads a lot and guys aren’t getting open, when something does come open he’s rushing a bit and it’s effecting placement. Like to say Brady gotta be better but this is the O McD wants. Announcers said that numerous times today. Cook ain’t running for 200 every week and our D ain’t facing Andy Dalton every week so they gotta get this passing game figured out.

Let's lead the way for retro football. Get big violent nasty d line, safety, and LBs, who are not made of glass. Just break down opposing offenses with brutal physical play. Reimburse player fines under the table. Eventually the other teams will fear catching the ball when they know they are going to be decleated.
-
Something is definitely off with Allen. I think he is injured and mind fu@ked. The sack he took deep in panther territory today was brutal. He’s holding the ball too long, allowing himself to get hemmed in, and making poor decisions. It is deeply concerning. It ended well today, thanks in large part to the defense and the running game. He is not in Super Bowl form. However the offense has been re-booted, it does not showcase his talent. A mediocre Allen will not beat a good team (like KC) in the playoffs. Pray he heals and gets through this shite which is affecting his performance. If the defense is turning a corner, that is a consolation.

In Cam's film room he literally called him one of the most talented quarterbacks to play the game -
Pre- Covid game at Nashville was 75/25 bills fans in 2019

Indy spanking teams like the Titans doesn’t worry me. Beating the Chargers caught my eye, but they also lost to the Rams and squeaked one out against the Cardinals. Given their schedule the second half of the season, I’d be shocked if the Colts finish better than 13-4. I don’t know that they have an easy out in their final 9 games and I don’t see them going better than 6-3 in that stretch.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
Maine-iac replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
No draft capitol. Just sign Robbie Chosen off the Commanders practice squad. Guy ran a 4.36 40 coming out. He's had good production in the NFL and had 4 catches when the Commanders called him up just a week ago. Not my favorite WR but AJ Brown isn't available and Chosen has the speed and experience to maybe make a difference where the rest of the 4.6 guys we have do not. Worst case scenario it doesn't cost us a thing other than a roster spot. -

They sure shut the haters up. Not! - Vs. washed up QB Andy Dalton - Panthers is known that they couldn't stop the run. Just like us. Great to get the win though. Got to get the next one vs. Chiefs on Sunday to truly make up for our recent back to back losses. -

I also like that Hancock has 4.4 speed, we need more of that especially at safety and corner, seems like we’re finally getting it. -
But I'm not the general manager and those guys are under contract signed by beane You just want to cut our defensive captain and starting defensive end? Or trade them and try to get somebody to pick up their cap.. either of those would be tough to accomplish That's a front office miscalculation of cap space

Again- the Giants won because of their defense. They had more receiving talent than us currently, Eli Manning's offensive contributions notwithstanding. Top QB contracts do not preclude their teams from acquiring good wideouts. We just prioritize defense over offense

Some observations and questions regarding the Bills passing game.
Billz4ever replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Probably exactly what you see from Spags next week combined with different blitz packages to put even more pressure on Josh. The Falcons' blitzes gave Josh and the oline problems. Expect that from KC in spades. -
I get where you’re coming from. Elite QBs would have to elevate the talent around them etc. But this group is truly awful. Keon has been such a disappointment. They were able to trade for a bonafide #1 guy in Diggs. Maybe it’ll happen again.
