Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Bad Things replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good grief. This isn't true at all. It's certainly something that teams would strive for, but it's generally unrealistic and is an argument that whiners use. -
Kind of funny at first I guess. He has gotten a lot of new subscribers on twitter for whatever that's worth. But now the t-shirts and coffee cups and hats. Really? Quick, name one thing Newsom was right about. I can see this backfiring on him bigly. He's poking the bear and President Trump is way nastier than him and has a lot more power. I could maybe see something like armed military with live ammo patrolling the streets of LA, San Francisco, and San Diego. Bulldozing homeless encampments along the way. Constitutionality be damned. Maybe President Trump then flies out in his big ass jet for a photo opp to bring the troops pizza and McDonalds hamburgers. Newsome being cast as the lover of crime and homelessness. There's gotta be a better way than mocking the revenger in chief to make your point. Or it could work great whatever that looks like. We'll see. Should be interesting.

Come on. Not a fan of these lackluster, likely to add little of nothing to our defense moves this off season--White, Jackson, and now Phillips. To me it is settling, going for the safe, familiar choices. But they are not safe moves as far as improving the team, they have seemed detrimental to its growth. Hopefully he has taken a shi# load of performance enhancing drugs since he last played. But hoping more that this is a very short term move. To me, a very good off season and draft to improve the defense, so would be very discouraging to see players like Jordan and White (as a starter) and Jackson on this roster come opening day.

Multiple firsts for a CB? No way, not with what we got. At least to me, that would be absurd unless you have top end productive blue chip talent at the defensive line & LB that is proven to be reliable in the biggest moments. An elite game wrecking defensive lineman (Donald/Chris Jones/Jalen Carter) or pass rusher (like the trade talks this past year; Max/Myles/Micah) moves the needle for the secondary as whole.

Joe Marino’s All 22 from Bucs preseason game
PrimeTime101 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
does not matter. he occupies 2 defenders. thats his job. Cant tell you how many times our 1 Tech got blown out and the hb runs right into the arms of a lb. in prior years. Either way... This guy is going to be a stud. this is spot on.. and for the record, I do not Hate Marino.. i just disagree with some of his film work. -
They're not testing general athleticism. RAS means Relative Athletic Score. The relative piece means relative to other players in your exact same position group, not relative to anyone outside your position group.

After the ugly and public Lamar Jackson contract negotiations in 2023, I believe nothing said by either side until a signing or trade is announced. Everyone forgot that Lamar demanded a trade, Ravens transition tagged him and opened to match other teams offers. He went social media hinting about having had to play injured and insinuating lowball contract offers, while the team changed it’s tone when talking about a franchise QB and dismissing rumored offers. It was looking ugly for while. Then poof all the bad feelings went away and Lamar didn’t really want to be traded after all. How silly of us to believe either side. James Cook’s hold-in was downright friendly by comparison. The worst he did was unfollow the team on instagram and posted a dollar amount.

This doesn't make me feel great about our new DT's.
-
I'd be shocked if this happens. Can't imagine they would go with a rookie starter and an underperforming second year at the 1 tech. Phillips is not a 1 tech to line up next to Oliver in run downs. He is best served as an interior pass rusher to line up next to Oliver on 2rd and 3rd and long situations. But what the hell lets put even more pressure on Allen to score 40 a game

TBD Posters: “Beane never takes big swings on traits guys. Plays it way too safe.” Also TBD Posters: “Ugh, another raw traits guy? Why can’t Beane just draft polished players?” Me: “I can’t wait for the day this regime wins a Super Bowl so you can all go back to your shanties.”

I think they call that winning. -
I disagree. Andreesen's speed and agility scores are good to very good and his explosion grade is excellent. He has plenty of athletic ability... he just needs to polish his game.

Oh, this thread is gold for the “I know more than Beane” crowd. It’s gold, Jerry! Gold!

Way. Not saying it'll happen. But it's absoutely one of the options. I'd like to see them keep Shavers. But there are five or six very reasonable options, depending on available trades. I'd like to see them keep Ciarlo too, for that matter. My guess is the odds are against that, unfortunately.

Why did Buechele start and play the entire game?
reddogblitz replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
Except me I guess. If Wonder Boy were to get injured for a 4 game stretch I think Mitch could get us a couple of wins and keep us in it until Wondered Boy comes back. I have Much more confidence for that than in White or Buechele. -

Great question. Before the preseason, I would've bet on Codrington, but after what I've seen the last few games, I'd keep Shenault. Shakir Palmer Coleman Samuel/Moore Shavers Shenault Decision to be made between Samuel and Moore. Hamler gone (can he make the practice squad?)

Ethan, that’s quite surprising as you seem to be a knowledgeable poster from what I’ve seen… That one by Taron sealed the deal in a huge playoff game that the Bills were in the cusp of completely falling flat in. Baltimore clawed the momentum and punching it in for 6 might have been the undoing of the night. On top of that, it’s very recent.
