  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah you definitely need some defense. The discrepancy in investments though is shocking over the past two offseasons. Out of 6 picks in the top 100 the Bills took an offensive player with just 1 of them. This past offseason their only meaningful offensive addition was Joshua Palmer. On defense they handed out meaningful contracts to Bosa, Hoecht, Ogunjobi, and White, and spent their first 5 draft picks on that side of the ball. All of those investments and the defense is pretty much identical to last year's. Unless Hoecht and Ogunjobi are going to singlehandedly raise this defense to a top 10 level, it feels like a lot of those resources would have been much better spent on a legit weapon for Allen.
  3. Hmmm, you think Kash Patel manufactured evidence, and that he has conspired with Chuck Grassley to deceive the public in a manner similar to the Steele dossier? I think that’s unlikely, and naive on your part. You’re consistent in that regard. As for “protecting” anyone, you’re going to have to expand on that a bit. Help me out, especially as it relates to the last, non-Kash Patel FBI. Surely they were prosecuting someone, somewhere in the ring before leadership changed? Or, were they part of the cover up? On “considering pardons”, I would be against pardoning Maxwell, as I was against pardoning the hardcore J6 perps and Joe Biden’s entire family tree. Still, law enforcement in general has a long history of working deals, using confidential informants and letting very bad guys go in exchange for something else they perceive as valuable. On the level of pardons, most people seem to get upset when it’s the other guy pardoning, and apathetic when it’s their guy doing the pardon. I think you’re probably in that camp. I guess if Maxwell offered enough value in getting the really big fish in exchange for a pardon, it would get done and most people would move on, disgusted, feeling dirty but knowing it happens. The challenge is there doesn’t seem to be any big fish to get. Team Biden would have burned Republicans and anyone in Trumps orbit. Team Trump would do the same, yet here we are. Personally, I think evidence against powerful people was deep-sixxed, and/or kept for leverage by very powerful people in govt.
  4. I don't click random blue links... Another conspiracy theory probably... Enjoy your fantasies of unity... Whatever the hell that means...
  5. I wouldn't be opposed to Beane accidentally stumbling on a WR1 to pair with Kincaid. Keon is definitely not going to be that guy. And Shakir will continue as a reliable WR2.
  6. Whether Keon turns out to be the right or wrong pick is one thing - but he wasn't lasting much longer though. If they wanted him, they really couldn't go much further back as NE was hot on Keon and had been trying to trade up for him too. With Keon gone they took Polk early instead who was a similar prospect at pick 34.
  7. I think its a schtick. A satire of his real personality, and a need to be liked especially when facing the media. Not HC material, but thats OK. Id freaking love to get him on staff somehow. Hes had just about the worlds hardest job the last few years, with a collection of the worst kids at school in his classroom. Id bet coming here with good structure in place, a chip on his back to show he belongs and the ability to just get back to X's and O's. We've seen some of the better coordinators cement themselves as great at their jobs after a demotion on the league. They are the guys that made them good enough coordinators to get hired, with new skills and revamped ability to handle stress/workload. I think he hates HC and loved being a coordinator, and hes proved to himself hes not HC material. That means an offensive minded guy on staff, you dont have to start thinking about losing after 4 games under Josh Allen. Sign me all the way the **** up!
  8. I keep hearing how great the Falcons offense is. Didn't they get shut out 30-0 by Carolina a couple weeks ago? If we play, which I expect, we'll bounce back.
  9. If we dont at least reach the SB, then I think everything should be reevaluated, including both McD and Beane. But - honestly with Beane, I think the odds are much greater that we would get worse at GM, not better if we got rid of him Look around the league, there are not a lot of good GMs. And if you look at the "hot" GM's fans (many here) clamor for over the years, those same GM's are on the hot seat or fired shortly after and often for the things fans loved them for - big over pay moves that didn't work out and set the franchise back. I think the more reasonable approach would to first make a change at HC before I would clear out Beane. Especially when Beane is building the roster around his coaches and what they want. If you are going to make a change, then start with the coaches and see how things go for another season with Beane before you gamble on replacing him with someone who is a lot more likely to be a downgrade than an upgrade.
  10. That's all well and good, but the same issues that have plagued this team in crucial spots once again reared it's ugly head I think that is more of the complaint here...that we aren't seeing the coaching staff adjust and adapt to what many of us fans see as a problem that has to be addressed
  11. I wanna believe that Palmer, Moore and Samuel can scoot down field just fine...are they being called on to do that though?
  12. But you have to have some defense. Last year, Joe Burrow had 4,918 passing yards, 43TDs, and only 9 INTs, and his team missed the playoffs. Their offense was insane and they kept losing high-scoring games because their defense was as bad as their offense was good. I get that you can win by leaning into the offense, but there is a limit. And that limit is probably giving up 44 points to Russell Wilson and the Steelers at home.
  13. OK, I’m starting to feel badly that nobody would take, or admit to taking, a look. I clicked. My iPad did not melt, I did not go blind, and YES, most of you would. There, I broke the ice.
  14. Might not be your best decision Doc😜
  15. Time for “everybody eats” to be replaced with “who’s hot and who’s not”.
  16. Its time for the new "Some people eat, some of the time!" offense.
  17. Not in the media yet but Trump was just holding a round table to discuss Antifa when Mark Rubio walked in and handed him a note. Trump said it was to inform him he was needed shortly as they were near an agreement on Mideast peace. He didn't say Gaza but that must be what it's about I would think. Anyway, he took a couple more questions from the media then left with Rubio .
  18. Like I said, it wasn’t so much that Cooper put up great numbers but his presence opened up the field for the rest of the receivers. Would have been nice to get more production from him too, but I don’t think we’d have made the AFCCG without that trade I really believe that
  19. Anyone who thinks Cooper was the reason for improvement --- did you watch the games? Josh was playing at an MVP caliber, obviously, and we were getting solid production from our RBs (especially Ty) in pass game. Cooper was a decoy who was already over the hill, hence his retirement this offseason. Brady has better/healthier weapons right now...and we are struggling, against Saints at times and Pats, because hes become more predictable and Josh just isnt playing at his top level yet. Same as LY, Josh turned it on 2nd half- hopefully we see the offensive rhythm improve, because weve been very inconsistent 2 weeks in a row, possibly 3 dating back to Miami.
  20. The Colts and the Lions look like the two best teams in the NFL right now and it's not with dominant defense, it's with offenses that are steamrolling their opponents and running up the score. They've made their defenses practically irrelevant. I think it is still possible to build a dominant defense, just look at the Browns, it's just a lot harder in the modern NFL. And this regime has never been close to having a dominant defense. Even in the Leslie Frazier years when we ranked top 5 in a lot of the relevant statistics we laid down and died in the playoffs on an annual basis. So I just never had any faith that this regime was going to invest their way into a dominant defense. They chose to lean into the one thing that they've never gotten right, instead of the one thing that they nailed.
  21. I'd say you might be able to get an interim guy to cooperate on making sure you don't screw up your draft positioning! ... but honestly those dudes almost always end up fired too. trying to remember the last guy promoted to interim, who got the reigns the next year??? any of these guys active today get their HC job that way? I know coordinators do a decent amount, IF, HC is staying on

  23. Because we’re a run heavy team with two great blocking TEs in Hawes and Knox. Shakir and Kincaid have played 77% and 61% of the passing snaps respectively. I’d like to see Kincaid’s number tick up but it’s not as bad as the total snap counts make it seem.
  24. The Forum needs a scapegoat. It was Bishop before. Now it’s White. The issue is much more complex IMO
  25. I will say, I think the Bills are built to be a TE focused team and Kincaid should start to see those snap counts rise. I hope.
  26. Yep, this was up thread somewhere. Agree, Keon is still super young, learning. He can handle the constructive criticism...coaches have high standards, because the potential is there. And yes, anything across middle of field Short- crosses, intermediate - digs, deep-post (which i swear haven't seen many lost routes out of Brady). Speaking of Brady, I dont like his passing concepts from this past week. Kincaid, Shakir and Keon should be hogging more targets each week. Keon isnt being used where I think hes best, and thats out of the slot/more middle of the field. We dont have great WRs, but they can be utilized better.
