I know it ain’t happening, but the best way to support the defensive backfield is a strong pass rush. If you really want to win the Super Bowl, you make this trade. 2 firsts and Epenesa and another player. Or the firsts and Oliver. Contract is a problem, especially because he won’t want to sign a short term deal. He will want to break the bank. Other teams make it work, will just take a lot of upfront cash to players. Yes, but I’d rather make the deal heavier on draft picks. Adding Parsons to the existing DL core would be the hope for me. Bernard would be hard to move because we don’t have much behind him. Shakir would be the piece I’d move, and platoon Samuel & Moore, with Keon sliding down to big slot at times. Probably not popular, but I’d do it.

Long term does anyone know the plan for these? Considering Nike and the league are rolling them out 2 divisions at a time over the next 4 seasons I assume at the very least they’ll be wearing these once a season for the next 4 years? Would I do this trade? Yes. Per Greg Tompsett we would have to trade Curtis Samuel and AJ Epenesa plus restructure Dion Dawkins and Dawson Knox, then we would have to pay him around 42M a year. I just don't know that Beane would be willing to put us in that position financially. I would like to make this trade but we're not flush with the cap space to do it.

The whole point of this thread is looking at how we've done as a 2 seed vs a 7 seed when under the old playoff format a 2 seed would've gotten a bye. That was the list of games that wouldn't have occurred under the old format.
