Let's take a second to appreciate James Cook
HappyDays replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall
The blockers deserve a shout out too. And I mean all of them. The OL, the TEs, the WRs, Gilliam... It's genuinely impressive how every single player on offense is 100% bought in to that identity. A guy like Shakir could just mail it in but he's bringing it to his CB trying to open up a crease. Guys like Samuel and Moore are running all the way across the field to get in the way of backside pursuers. Hawes has the technique of a 10 year vet. You could go down the whole depth chart and give everybody some kind of kudos. I don't agree with building an offense that is better at running the ball than passing, but I can appreciate that they went all in on making it the identity of the team. Cook's vision and quick feet combined with these blocking schemes is the stuff of nightmares for DCs. Cook's 62.7% rushing success rate is the highest the NFL has seen since 2016 (hilariously it was Mike Gillislee). That doesn't happen with as many attempts as Cook has unless the RB and the blockers both are elite. -

I've been wondering if keeping Cook out on passing downs might also be part of the strategy to keep him fresh. He's a shifty back so doesn't take too many square up hits where he plows into a LB or DT - more glancing blows. In pass protection, you need to square up, stand you ground and take on a LB or Safety with a head of steam, which can be a more violent collision. If actually out in the pattern not as much of a concern, but in pass pro it adds to wear and tear. And it's not a touch, so for fans it doesn't count but for the player it still is violence. -

Hoax. I mostly agree. But socially conservative? I'm not so sure. At least not by the standards of 30 to 40 years ago. -
I think KC is my favorite non-move. We struggle to run the ball and need help there. We want Breece Hall. We’ll give you a late 4th. (We want a late 3rd.) Whoa, ok, that’s a bridge too far.

Perspective Matters: The Offense Is Producing
DapperCam replied to Magox's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our offense is playing well (when the refs aren't screwing us), but it is vulnerable. 1. If Cook or Kincaid (or even Shakir) go down we're in big trouble. Our depth is not looking good. 2. We have the reigning league MVP and in my opinion one of the best QBs of all time. Of course our offensive stats will probably look decent. Doesn't mean we're taking full advantage of it. 3. There are going to be teams that shut down our run and the middle of the field. Let's hope that doesn't happen in the playoffs. -
Just cause we won last week you all don’t need to act like we’re top of the power rankings.

Perspective Matters: The Offense Is Producing

The offense is elite. It’s the reason we are a perennial super bowl contender. It’s the literal only reason we went from a joke to amazing. It’s absolutely mind blowing that BILLS FANS don’t get or appreciate this. We spend years fighting about JP Losman and Trent Edwards. Twenty years from now we will be sick thinking of how long we were great for and how we took it for granted. The defense IS THE PROBLEM. It’s been for 7 full years. All we ever have to do is make stops and we will win a Super Bowl. Nobody ever should be concerned or worried about the offense. Not only are they not a problem. They are an all time great. Fix the defense and we win a Super Bowl -

And Strong (who was playing significant snaps) and possibly Oliver (tbd). And Rapp. Not sure who Happ is but hope he wasn't impactful 🙃 -
That is some sick, twisted sh!t. I liked it.

Game week thread - Bills at Dolphins

The Chiefs offense went something like 2 seasons without putting up 30+ points. They averaged 22 ppg last year. The Texans held the to 212 yards in the WC round. We know what the Eagles did to them. They scored TD’s on 3 of their first 4 drives against us. We gave up greater than 50% of 3rd downs. Our defense sucked. But yes, you are right we had a chance to win it. We had the ball last. -

Just add one blazing Smurf who can track the deep ball. -
Everyone likes to question Strength & Conditioning but one thing i've started to wonder about is if McDermott pushes guys too hard throughout the week. On top of the injuries week to week, we seem to have a lot of injuries occur outside of Game Day.

Dolphins wanted a first and at least a second for Waddle. No thank you
-
This^. Pats had to deal with hotter in week 2 in Miami and came out with the win. Weather is not an excuse. Go beat a 2-7 team no matter how hot it is

That would still make fiddy fo on the roster

Scoff if you will. The Raiders will soon have a freezer of players ready in waiting...🤔🤨 - Today

For those who will scoff at this because of the source (not reliable media) also almost certainly didn't watch the video either. So... Steve Baker has been pulling at strings on the events of J6 since that very day. In the video he says he came across something two weeks ago that led to this discovery and he took it to a high level source in US Intel. He purposely did not take it to the FBI (and thus no $500k reward) as he believes, as most sane people do, that there are many agents still there involved in the cover up of the pipe bomber case. The delay in releasing the suspects name is said to be due to national security issues that need to be buttoned up. He was told on Monday that this was going to WH Chief of Staff to be included in POTUS brief. Now I think we know why he was arrested and perp walked for being at the Capitol on J6 as a journalist.

More like they try and conserve energy in the early part of the season for when it's important later in the season when it actually matters. Which is why they are 32-7 after the bye since 2020.

So they initially released Kristian Wilkerson alongside Jimmy Ciarlo, and having an active roster spot opened up by Hoecht's IR. But it seems like it was a procedural move to sign Jonathan and Couch on before they moved Mathis to the 53. He's now back:
