  1. Past hour
  2. We Bills fans might need an intervention, as in "Repeat after me: This is not a SB contender, nor even a playoff team. This is a injury-plagued, poorly coached, profoundly mediocre team with a super-nova at quarterback." I would still resist saying it, but my resistance is starting to weaken.
  3. This and the standing Buffalo are my favorites
  4. We’re the bills, we’re billsy 😞
  5. And maybe playing with a JV receiving corps will improve Josh's accuracy. Could happen!
  6. I’ve said similar and got lots of downvotes for it 😂 I think we might get 3-4 years which takes him until he’s what, 33? If no Lombardi is forthcoming by then due to usual reasons (Defence, no top tier weapons for him, McD still there coaching scared etc…) then I wouldn’t begrudge him moving on to a west coast team in search of a SB, the rams would fit him perfectly if McVay is still there
  7. Cover 1 did a deep dive on secondary, and Tarons tape is solid. Tales of Tarons demise are greatly exaggerated Rapp, White, and Bernard are the big problems on D 2025
  8. Thank you! On a different note, over the years I've seen a lot of people say that we can "manipulate" the roster through IR's and PUP's. There were even posts in this thread alleging we were doing that with Strong to make room for others. And while it's true that we have "Redshirted" Rookies - there needs to be an actual injury to IR or PUP someone. It can be something small or a voluntary procedure on something small, that they then keep them on the list for. But you can't just willy nilly throw someone on a list to make room for others.
  9. No, just that Brady will keep him mostly on the bench.
  10. Pry could add Mike Shanahan tree - McVay, Kyle Shanahan, LaFleur, McDaniel (loose branch right now).
  11. Today
  12. Coaching tree? Doubt it... Coaching shrub? Maybe someday...
  13. Play by play crews would never stand for it. 😁
  14. Daboll is off the Belichick tree, grafted to horseradish. If you don't keep it growing in a barrel, it rages off everywhere.
  15. The team's confidence is shot and the injuries are piling up. Yes, we are getting two guys back but they will likely be rusty. And one of the worst run defenses in the NFL has to curb arguably the best one-two punch RB department in the NFL. It's going to get worse before it gets better. I anticipate changes are coming in WNY after this one. Panthers.....28 Bills.............24 .
  16. Unfortunately it’s compounded by the fact that most of our LBs are small and light, better suited for a 3-4. Maybe the worst part of not being able to stop the run is that the opponents go on long time-eating drives. The Bills then have less possessions so each one becomes more important to do something with.
  17. You don’t get a tree until you win a Lombardi.
  18. How about a Mike Tomlin tree or a John Harbaugh tree? I am not sure those exist either. The whole concept is sort of stupid given how many times coaches change teams in their career and are influenced by different experiences.
  19. To all the good folks out there who want to fire McD: Tell me what you see in Terry's resume that makes you believe he's going to pick a good successor? Pegs first hired Rex for the Bills. And he's been through Ruff, Rolston, Nolan, Bylsma, Housley, Krueger, Granato, and Ruff again with the Sabres. Unless you count the Bandits, his track record at picking coaches isn't good. McDermott is his best major sports hire so far - in fact, the only one to have a winning record and the only one to reach the playoffs As I posted previously, 11 coaches with winning records were fired in the SB era. Only 2 teams improved after they fired their winning head coach. Only 1 won a Super Bowl. It just doesn't happen a lot. Terry's track record doesn't suggest he'll beat the odds. I trust McD to deliver us a trophy eventually more than I trust Terry to pick a successor who will.
  20. Western New York sleeper assassins , just sayin,
  21. Panthers 31 Bills 20 Bills come out strong initially, winning the toss and taking the ball. However, once the scripted plays run out, the Bills offense flounders. Brady force feeds passes to Cook which eventually leads to a turnover. The Bills start to unravel, and the Panthers put up 250 yards on the ground.
  22. The logic is that they coached on the side that McD is not known to have heavy involvement with. Handed them the keys to the O and let them drive without much interference.
  23. They're just a far superior run organization from top to bottom than we are. McB made a legendary magnificent pick to choose Josh Allen. But unfortunately it was all downhill from there. From yearly injuries to failed fa's to brutal draft picks. There's always something in our way.
  24. No but at least he has a coaching twig that’s gone 11-30 since a fluke playoff appearance
  25. They coached under McDermott so why would they not count under his tree? Belichick, Sean Payton, Tom Coughlin all worked on Bill Parcells's staffs. Are they not part of his tree? I don't know what your requirements would be unless you don't wanna give McDermott credit for his assistant coaches being given other coaching opportunities
  26. I mean, the league has copied the shell defense that is a staple of McD’s defenses. Unfortunately, we don’t have the horses playing safety like we once did, and haven’t shored up other parts of the defense so far either.
