A Few Thoughts about the Pats Game - Post yours as well

That game sucked Beavis........ -
They were better against the run and actually stopped on 3rd down several times That is positive. But 1. the soft zone where a guy is 5 yards open and the dbs are rooted to the spot and not moving to where the ball is going was idiotic. When Hyde, Poyer, Tre and Milano were in their prime this is how we got turnovers or separated the receiver from the ball. The zone defense is terrible with this personnel and simply does not work. Mostly on the coaches but partly on the players. 2. The inability of Bills Blitzers to keep Maye hemmed in and when they were rushing him not close quick enough to make the sack, hit him and affect the throw and not jumping with hands up to either knock the ball down or unsight the receiver. Its been at least 2 solid years of inconsistent play in this area and last night was one of the worst examples 3. The missed tackles. There was a bunch last night but the Shaq miss on Diggs was a game loser that allowed the Pats a first down. I'm not sure how pro players cant tackle. I have no idea how they fix that? fundamentals somehow missing. It seemed like a couple of positives for the Bills last night then a lot of regression

Very sloppy. Unprepared, and we got punked. NTM Vrabel's profanity laced rant on Instagram totally disrespecting the City of Buffalo, the franchise, and players. Put it up on the board and let it fuel your preparation. -
Ridiculous stat that sums up the secondary play

They miss John Butler. He’s still cranking out good passing defenses in college. -
No More Whiteouts again ever in Buffalo Bills history

Sorry for your loss, sounds like he was a loving buddy. -
Today’s NFL fan for ya. Every loss is a fix, but every win is legit.

The only complaint I had was that it was really hard to pick up jersey numbers in the trenches during plays. Was that the case in the stadium as well or was it more of an issue with the television screen? -
I always hated the "potential", "he's got potential" crap.

It took John Wooden 17 years to his first of ten championships at UCLA. We just need to give it another 8-9 years. -
I agree. One thing that people say on this board that drives me crazy is he "showed flashes", just another way of saying he hasn't done much along with but PFF grades him this. People try to gaslight what you see with your own eyes and it aint squat.

Bills ain’t looking downfield in this O anyway. We have guys with speed but the plays aren’t built to take any shots. We always trying to stay ahead of the chains. Run and short passes until we are backed up

Something interesting I've heard non stop is that if Benford didn't get hurt last year in the AFCC game, we would have won. Did anybody watch the few plays he was in before the injury? The Chiefs were challenging him and winning almost every play. Benford is not the guy you put on the number 1 receiver, he's a system corner like Tre White and Josh Norman. -
jkeerie started following Was Drake Maye THAT good yesterday?
-
No. Diggs was that good. Maye was okay and looked good because of Diggs
-
This. One crew being such an outlier to a degree of several standard deviations is enormously suspicious.
-
Clearly Cook, Kincaid and Shakir are our best skill players and we need to get the ball in their hands as much as possible. We just need one semi-serious field stretching threat to open the middle of the field a bit for these guys. I'm starting to move into the camp that passing on Worthy was a big mistake.
-
Why is Kincaid getting only 54% of the snaps? Let the man play and have Knox take a seat on the bench.
