I'll take a 45 year old Chris Kelsay over AJ. What a silly extension.

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
NoSaint replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
last year was the proverbial first 5 games with Fitzpatrick in regard to getting a lot of luck. Not something we are used to. But as you note, it usually normalizes. even with a very good unit, odds are we lose about 10 in the differential. do we have the horses to still maintain the point differential? -
I started this journey just asking for clarification on your post, given the commonly accepted meaning for a particular phrase. It wasn’t a gotcha post, but admittedly it seemed an odd story to me. My instincts were correct. Thanks for clarifying, and of course you’re entitled to your opinion. At this point, no, I don’t think I want to know the outcome and have no real feelings on whether you were there or not. I feel like I understand you now, and surely all that might follow is confusion.

Lol, we have people convinced that having better players is a bad thing. 🤣🤣 Josh throwing the ball to better players will yield better results. The passing numbers last year dropped quite a bit. Brady schemed guys open. - Yesterday

I don't hate all of the new stats but this one is remarkably bad. It was either last year or the year before Lindor was having a really bad start to the season and my son broke out some new age stat that was a measure of how hard he was hitting the ball with the premise being he was making solid contact even though his batting average was abysmal. He ended up going on a tear the rest of the year and I filed it under things that make you go hmmm. I also like WHIP for pitchers, but for the life of me I can't wrap my head around OPS. And one stat that feels totally made up is WAR.

I did want to use the Google, but I think six or seven. Next one might be seven. That’s a lot.

Again if Beane had done that, or swings some huge deal for say Jefferson, fine. But let me challenge your assumption a bit. Say you have Metcslf. Does Josh go back to feeling he has to feed him X number of balls a game? And does it alter Brady’s everybody eats approach that resulted in a very effective offense last year and an MVP year for Josh. No way to know of course, but right now we have 10 guys that can get involved in the pass game -5 WRs, 2TEs, 3RBs. -
Relax? Now you’re bringing Aaron Rodgers into this?

You can compare stats to historical output. The 2024 Bills had the fewest negative plays EVER. Not just for the Bills, of any team ever. Is it reasonable to believe that, for a 2nd consecutive year, they won’t do something that no team in history has ever done? Common sense says it regresses even if it’s still good. The Bills could be a top 5 turnover differential team and that would be a massive step back from where they were. They were a statistical outlier. I believe that Coleman and Kincaid will improve some. I think Palmer and Moore are decent role players. They are as good as Mack was. But will that offset the regression in terms of “luck?” The pass catchers are near the bottom of the league. That’s not really debatable. The question is, “will it matter?” It didn’t last year but they had incredible luck and health on the OL. They were awesome. If any of that changes, the talent becomes more important. Is it enough? I believe the defensive additions will make a difference there. I expect the defense to be better. I don’t expect them to turn the ball over more. I do expect more pass rush though. I expect better run defense too. I expect the Bills to compete for the Super Bowl. That doesn’t mean that they are perfect. If they do fall short of their goal, what will be the reason? My guess is that it’s the lack of playmakers and questionable coaching. The defense will be better and Josh is incredible. -
Underwhelming for 21 seasons isn’t enough evidence?

Can he rush the passer?

I was at the Yankees game yesterday. The moment the Knicks won, the crowd went absolutely wild. Man, if the Knicks could really pull it off, what an upset that would be....

I think the good thing about Brady and the way he does things is that this list could, and will, change week to week depending on the matchups he sees. I think Cook is a real weapon out of the backfield for sure. But Ty Johnson did a good job on 3rd down, Davis made some good plays, and so on. Going into this off-season the main complaints were not having guys that can separate, and not having a guy that can stretch the field. Now I don’t necessarily agree with these, but Palmer gets a lot of separation, and Moore gives them a speedier guy. Josh has 10 guys he can throw the ball too; that’s what Brady wants and Josh did pretty good with that approach last year.

Wait what? You want to instead compare the belief of what 2023 MIGHT be prior to playing instead of what we now KNOW they were after playing? Come on, this is getting silly now. No disrespect, but Diggs in 2022 has nothing to do with what Diggs was for all of 2023. Second, I already posted this just prior to your post, I am just gonna quote it below rather than rewrite it again. As far as having "no clue" what this group is just something I don't agree with, we know enough to have a reasonable idea of what each guy is in comparison to the guys who were here in 2023. Its fine if you agree or disagree with any of the below, but IMHO I think they are all fair statements and I think several really aren't disputable.

Welcoming Our New Fellow American Citizens!
Andy1 replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There's a lot of truth to this. If it wasn't so hard or took so long I'm sure more people would do it legally. 20 yrs ago, it was at least 10 years to get family members here legally, even if they were financially sponsored by an American citizen. That is ridiculous and a sign that the system is completely broken. Before, Republicans always said that legal immigration can’t be fixed until illegal immigration across the border is stopped. Well, that time is now. Fact is, America needs a lot of legal immigrants to do alot of jobs Americans won’t do. A lot of jobs just need bodies we don’t have to do them. Instead, Trump and Republicans doesn’t want legal immigrants either. -

Elijah Moore Visiting the Bills today (Update: Signed!)
oldmanfan replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look at numbers. The Chargers focused their passing game on two guys: McConkey and Johnson. They got about 40% of Herbert’s targets. In comparison Shakir and Kincaid got about 20%. So in my opinion Brady’s everybody eats approach might serve Palmer better than Roman’s where he didn’t get many looks. Palmer may get more looks, be the big target some games, not get many looks the next. But won’t the 3rd option all the time necessarily. Herbert threw for more yards? Fine. Again, the Bills ran the ball for about 400 more yards too. Different philosophies means just comparing raw numbers doesn’t tell the story. Unless you’re saying you’d trade Allen for Herbert because his raw numbers are better. I suspect most would get a good laugh out of that. -
I could prattle on and rattle off so much about ‘KB from that time in my life. Would think quite a few in here “lived it”. My first call-in request: ‘Venus’ by Shocking Blue.
