Just signed with the Raiders

This is a far better outcome and is perfectly fine. Bills let him explore avenues and are going to bring him back as a sub as needed.

The lack of any concrete update should be taken as good news. If he had torn an ACL or popped an achilles, we'd know about it. Having heard no such thing, and hearing Beane be vague about the details and talk about trying to figure out a treatment plan and a timeline, tells us that it's almost certainly not a season ending injury. The only relevant thing we don't know for sure is the return timeline, and that should become more clear with upcoming roster moves related to cutdown day. But make no mistake: The lack of specifics on the injury should be taken as a positive sign.

I’ll be honest. I forgot.

24 hours to cut down time and 5 days after White injury, not a hint of severity on his injury. None of his teammates, agent, family member (especially kids) said anything and no neighbors saw him walk or on clutches. I guess we are not NYC where 100 people would park outside of his drive, fly a drone of some sort to get some news.

Annual PSA about the Bills’ cut-down to 53…

Hamler has been more impressive than Moore so trade away. Hoping we keep Gore/Davidson on the PS. -

No. They found out when he flew in to sign his deal and he told them. They had the option to walk away from the deal. Instead, they lowered the terms of the deal and still signed him.

The expansion of the PS to 16 players including up to 4 with more than 2 years accrued NFL experience has made it so that it benefits teams and players to have a basically one round cut process for the most part. You have a 53 man roster plus 16 PS slots. That's 71 roster spots out of 90. So the final cuts mostly come down to teams keeping their core 53 and then trying to get back 13-14 of those players for the PS and then adding 1-3 more from other teams to round out their PS. Whereas in the older rule the PS was only 10 players and only 2 or less seasons. So really the camp cuts being staggered through 4 weeks of pre-season made sense as guys needed the chance to move around onto rosters to try to make their 53 or get on the radar for more limited PS slots. Esp vet guys who couldn't get onto the PS. I also felt like in season vet signings were less common so a lot of guys were feeling like you gotta make it in camp or just sit out the season... One less pre-season game and different PS rules make a big difference.

Smart. Doesn't have to go through training camp.

Not sure I will be able to handle the emotional trauma of him getting cut tomorrow. Life is a damn rollercoaster Both - Beane said he knew both were going to be suspended when he signed them https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-gm-brandon-beane-announces-ped-suspensions-for-de-michael-hoecht-and-dt-larry-ogunjobi

you’re thinking of Hoecht, I believe.

Air Raid | Buffalo on X (Twitter) can finally walk away from the ledge. Dude was having a meltdown over this move.

I like the signing. But obviously it shows lack of confidence in DL depth. Understandably so, as there is alot of youth. Philips at least adds some experience behind Jones/Oliver. He will give you a few splash plays, hopefully in some crucial moments.
