  1. Past hour
  2. The most unforgivable Hamlin play - to me - was that opening TD Derrick Henry took for 70 or whatever it was. He lacked anything on the play - instincts, positioning, athleticism, aggression - he was late to attack the hole Henry sprang through and failed to take a good angle to cut him off. The big run he gave up to Jonathan Taylor was pretty similar. If you’re going to be a marginal athlete, you have to know your angles. Rapp is a perfect example - he’s a worse athlete than Hamlin but often makes the stops a safety should.
  3. I'm with Ethan in Cleveland on this one, if Hairston doesn't show enough to secure CB2 in the near future it's gonna be a weak spot on the D, and who knows maybe Strong will pull a Benford and come outta nowhere. Ive always liked Tre but he ain't holding up all season as a starter.
  4. Aj Klein Starting in the divisional round two years ago was a godsend to the Chiefs
  5. 2 days in row you posted absolute bs. called out by even your fellow maga's. https://www.in2013dollars.com/Housing/price-inflation/2000-to-2025?amount=100000 work harder.
  6. Chime in. Is this working? I imagine you’ll need a subscription to SiriusXM but I downloaded this from X..
  7. This is so dumb I might use it like " a moo point". I know hot chicks by looking at them, who is advocating measuring her out?
  8. This is something that only a liberal would say because they don't understand the vast majority of actually religious people. I don't think all religious people are good people but I do believe the average truly religious person is better than the average atheist
  9. We tend to think we need All Pro level guys at each position which is of course impossible. But we should be pretty solid in the defensive backfield. At corner now with Hairston OK you’re going to have Benford as a shut down type guy, then Hairston and Tre battling it out. And a lot of depth with guys experienced in the system including Jackson, Hardy, and my boy Ingram, plus strong as a rookie. The slot you have Taron, you have Cam Lewis (who is a solid backup there and at S), and Hancock. I actually think this might be the weakest part of our DBs as Taron seemed to take a step back last year. At safety we’re all still a bit spoiled by the Hyde/Poyer due we had for so many years, but Rapp now has a year in the defense under his belt, Bishop as well plus the entire camp this year, and they will be starters. Then you have Forrest and Hamlin as veteran depth, Hancock to develop, and of course Cam Lewis if need be. I think the DBs should also benefit from better rush from the guys up front.
  10. You go back to bed Grasshopper. Night Night
  11. With the right players I could see a package of wishbone plays being effective inside the 5 or in short yardage. A team like Baltimore would be perfect to run it. A power back in Henry, a huge FB that can catch well and plunge into the line in Ricard, a speedy guy in Mitchell and even a QB that can fake and run with the ball. That's a lot to defend in a small space and a defense would have to read a lot of options from the snap. Of course, the drawback is that most player on the NFL level have defended a wishbone type offense since middle school and are experienced against it. And NFL defenses are stacked with speed and can cover a lot of things at once.
  12. Lost me at Hamlin 4/5 INTs
  13. Speaking from firsthand experience (caveat: I was a benchwarmer on a DIII small school team that also never really won) playing in the triple option system in the mid-90’s, the goal was to take advantage of certain defensive players’ keys which would allow the QB to pitch the ball (or keep it) in the right hands for the least amount of “junk” (what our coaches termed the pile of defenders and linemen in a scrum) around the ball carrier. If the end “crashed” the line and rushed the passer, you would pitch it, if he stayed “home” you would keep it, and so on. Additional keys allowed the QB to essentially always have 3 options on a play of what to do, hence the triple option of course. There were pass play elements built in, but always very little time to develop given lack of a true pocket (see below). The goal was always to present the same opening formation to the D so they wouldn’t know what you were trying to do—this included having the OL (playing from a 4 point stance!) block like a run play on every play, regardless of run or pass. Problems included there was never a true “pocket” for the QB to work from, and if the D had decent speed at the LB spots, they could easily react/stretch out our pitch plays for minimal gains even if the keys were read right by the QB. Also, you’re asking the QB to read keys that can look confusing in the heat of the moment and be easily disguised/faked by a smart DE…all in all, the state of today’s defenses I think would render the triple option as a base concept, unworkable. But as a wrinkle to take advantage of an uber aggressive DL, sure, just like a timely screen play, could pay off now and then, imho. Our coaches made us watch film from Marshall as being what we needed to emulate, lol.
  14. Yeah, everyone better be wearing their non-slip mat-proof cleats today. I'll be out there inspecting. "You sir, yes you, the tall one with the fluffy hair and the rocket launcher right arm, do you have the appropriate footwear?!" "Talk to me again and I'm gonna throw a football *through* you." "Fair enough!" And that was the last we saw of cleat inspector blacklabel.
  15. Yeah, I dont think he called anyone out. The hosts alluded to the "incident" in a joking way and Beane played along. Then the host commented something about Rochester radio guys wouldnt ask that, but then double-backed on "but there are idiots everywhere" meaning Rochester too. And Beane just liked that saying and agreed "there ARE idiots everywhere".
  16. you are not wrong. There is generally a huge oversaturation in the podcast market. Not necessarily just Bills, but everywhere. A lot of junk out there that you have to sift through.
  17. Trump having some success with resetting trade parameters has clearly upset you. Autocracy? All three branches of the United States government are running full speed ahead. Do you think democrats should spend money on 2026 campaigns?
  18. Last year we had Benford/Douglas/Elam as our top 3 boundary CBs. So it's not a high bar to clear. The trio of Benford/White/Max should be much improved. It sound like Bishop is going to get the chance to wrestle the S job away from Damar. That would be absolutely huge for us. Add in a (hopefully) improved pass rush and they won't have to cover long before the ball has to come out. An improvement to the pass rush plus more talent in the DB room would be a real game changer to the make up of this team.
  19. I can tell you that about 90% of NFL fans from other teams would kill to have such a class guy as their star QB. We are blessed!
  20. That certainly seems to be what they are hoping for based on training camp reps. Fingers crossed that they are a good fit back there. Bishop seemed to have so far to go, but it seems they both have been putting in the work.
  21. In normal contexts it refers to the achieving a % of the yards on each down to keep a team on schedule for a first down. Like 40% of the yardage required on first, 60% on second down, 100% on third down.
  22. This is no deal...why the 40% threats, 30% threats, just put 15% and avoid the bs. There is no investment, that is private money and cannot be guaranteed, all smoke and mirrors for US prices to rise for citizens. If this is a victory...then call it what you want. Japan agreed to buy more US bonds...they already own more than anyone in the world. So, now lets push the 51st idea, screw around with Putin...all bs, I bombed Iran...yeh, that helped, and prepare to postpone 26 elections... Just gotta get past this nasty Epstein thing.."that bastard stole women from me at Mar a Largo"... I truly hope that Canada does not accept that type of deal..Canada just needs to move on from the US dominance, it needs to find new energy customers and stop selling to US, we need to continue the progress of selling to the rest of the world, and MOST IMPORTANT, stop buying from the US. Canada was your largest customer...that must end...so, no matter what kind of deal works out between the countries, it will not be a real deal, the trust is over, trumps signature is worthless which unfortunately means the US words means nothing anymore. So if you judge trade deals as victories or losses, good for you. Autocracy is a wonderful thing, eh!
  23. Jim Miller & Pat Kirwin (NFLR’s best team) visited Bills camp the other day. Worth the listen (if this thing works)
  24. If Tre stays healthy and is close to being pro-bowl Tre again, I don't expect Max will be starting this season. Even pre-injury, I saw him only in a reserve role until well into the regular season if not the entire season. He's still a rookie. The Bills are facing experienced QBs Jackson, Mahomes, Burrows, Rogers, et al. They could eat Hairston for lunch if he's still making typical rookie mental mistakes as he's learning.
