Too early to predict given his current role on the Bills - primarily a blocking TE, part time TD catcher. But the kid is tough and does the dirty work. How far he progresses beyond the current role depends on how he handles the coming off season. If we add a stud WR in the offseason, it will help the OC go down on the run-pass ratio and he will see more targets. But clearly he is one of the good stories of this season.

Colts to bring in ….Philip Rivers for workout UPDATE: Signed to PS

He will do a great job at handing off and some quick dump offs. I don't think Rivers will be very effective if he has to chuck it down the field. I'm not seeing another Flacco here. I can't imagine why they would go with the 44 year old grandpa who hasn't played in years, over calling up Brett Rypien from the practice squad. -
Can you imagine those Pats* fans, in-between your (for now) hypothetical Divisional and AFCCG. They'd be on super cloud nine, "we dethroned Mahomes, we are the new dynasty". Only to be wiped out by Allen and Cook the following week. Chargers best shot, imo, is to take down KC this coming Sunday, they may not make to the playoffs but it will finally kill off KC with 8 losses.

You mean Brady had no answers. Inexplicably, he watched his quarterback get hammered play after play and didn't bother to dial up more protection. Not much was working anyway, so why not try max protect him like he did last year? It was like the Patriots game when Brady inexplicably benched Cook, his best skill player, in crunch time. Even so, I think they would beat Houston in the playoffs, as long as the game was in Buffalo. The second time around even a slow study like Brady will be able to adapt. I think.

I'm guessing there are discussions occurring for a front line starter and Pete and another relief pitcher are on the backburner. Nothing tangible or rumored, just my gut feeling.

I can’t imagine this working out. NFL quarterbacks are elite athletes, you can’t be on the couch for 5 years and just throw the pads back on. -
Yeah the last sentence about being antsy…. I feel like so far I’m not sure what direction Stearns and Cohen are going. Could be the right one for all we know just seems like they’re not being transparent or something

More Bengals Blunders. Trey Hendrickson to have surgery.

That part is smart. Not trading him was stupid. -

There’s something different about McD this season…

I don't think we win despite McDermott. I think he has us prepared most weeks to compete. He has become more aggressive in going for it on 4th down, which I like. I do not like him taking time outs on defense in the second half before the end of the game when we are losing, like he did twice against Cincinnati. Lets see the game plan and mindset we bring against New England this week. Everyone seems to think Vrabel is such a great coach. McDermott has a chance to show the NFL world that he can go toe to toe against Vrabel. The results will be interesting. I do agree with your last statement. We definitely do not have any consistently great players on defense. We don't even have any consistently very good players on defense. Benford can be that. And Shaq Thompson is a consistently good player. And Ed Oliver and Bishop should be that. Bishop could approach Benford's level if he keeps on an upward trajectory. And I would go out on a small limb to say that Hancock and Hairston could very well be consistently good by next year. But we do need better play from our D line. And that seems to be more on Beane than McDermott. -
The Texans are probably the team I'd least like to play in the current playoff picture. They made our offensive line look mediocre and we had no answers.

They do. Colts remaining schedule. at Seahawks 49ers Jaguars at Texans -
We'll find out more soon, I'm sure. What I've heard is that the Mets offered a similar deal...3 years, $66M "with wiggle room to go higher". Sounds like Diaz wanted LA. If so, good riddance. I hope the first time he blows a save at Citi-Field they troll his fragile @ss with the trumpets. Also heard the Mets are interested in Trevor McGill from Milwaukee. I hope that's true. He's nasty. If not him then maybe Suarez from the Padres but Williams can't be the only high leverage arm out of the pen. I do hope that Pete comes back. We'll see. He doesn't live far from Orlando and drove the 90 miles to meet with teams in person. The Orioles and Bosox have been linked to him. Regardless of what happens there, still a TON to do this offseason. Let's go, Stearns...we're getting antsy. LFGM!!!

He will be starting this Sunday. He already knows their playbook. Gonna be must see television to be honest -
Disagree with your take and impression. I welcome opposing fans here. It's great to get other points of view from other fan bases. It's often refreshing from the homerism and negativity that exists amongst us Bills fans. Would be a dream scenario. Hope you are right! I thought KC was all but done?

The drama of playing it out as NE (or Buffalo) getting that 1 seed is critical. Because if that happens more than likely KC beats Denver meaning Denver gets the #2 seed and may face #7 KC. The Chargers have no chance to win out and the Colts are done. The drama of the NFL storyline script is going to put KC @ Denver and KC winning to go to NE* for the divisional. The bottom half is going to be Buffalo over Pittsburgh with the Jaguars over the Texans - causing Buffalo to go to Jax - beat Jax than Bills @ Patriots for a great storyline, NFL script also has it cold and snowing for the AFCC with the Bills/Patriots - and Josh Allen willing his team to victory. the glitz and glamour of the Super Bowl will be the Rams over the Bills.

A Few Thoughts about the Bengals Game - Community Edition
TPS replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
A couple of things to add. First, regarding the WRs, a positive I'd like to point out is Gabe Davis and his ability to get open when Josh scrambles. He made that key play on 4th down early in the game during the Bills first TD drive. That seems to be an element missing in general among the WRs (Diggs was excellent in this respect). The second thing is I saw some positive plays by both DT rookies. These two are going to be much needed down the stretch. I'm going to watch the re-play tonight and try to focus on their play. -
Ok. We will see.
