NOW is Bobby Babich's seat hot?
Mister Defense replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that McD, this time has a great deal of confidence in Brady to handle the offense without a lot of input . Pretty clear that Babich is a head coach somewhere next year already. And likely ditto for Tabor, as far as his experience and his confidence in him to handle the special teams So I think those facts really facilitate McDermott's ability to step in and take over the defense this year. And yes, your now bold words in your post above--have the words 'very bad coaching' , even 'incompetent coaching', for me running below all of those words, weaknesses. To me, almost no way that would that be the case with a change to a high quality coach. -
Sauce Gardner is crying, but does he have a point?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bad teams commit more penalties. Bad teams are ignored by the media. For 17 years all we heard was there was a conspiracy against the Bills by the NFL, the refs and the media. Hmmm....Josh Allen arrived and nobody is screaming about the media or ref bias anymore... -
Guy got a ring and is on a great team. No to wr divas period

I mean at some point Buffalo has to sign Brad Wing. The jersey sells itself in this town.

What is going on here is that, as a fan, it's painful to watch your team get run on. If feels like every play should be stopped because someone gets their hands on the RB. Running plays are more physical, and it feels like your team is getting bullied. But what the Bills are doing is keeping the game in front of them. Fans are not satisfied because they want domination. Look at the game prediction threads. People want a level of domination where the backups are playing in the 4th. That's rare in the NFL. Two of those games this year (SEA over NO & NE over CAR) were the result of special teams TD early in the game to get things out of hand.

Hopefully Bills fans understand that the saints are 0-4 and completely wretched. If Bishop doesn't make the spectacular int OR rattler makes that easy throw to a wide open WR in the endzone, the Bills could have easily lost this game The wretched 0-4 saints did a good job moving the ball -
Josh is a much better player when he can go wherever he wants as opposed to worrying about giving a guy targets The record number points we put up last year speaks to that. The 30 plus a game this year speaks to that. We are also a run first team. How would AJ feel about that? Because his presence is not enough for us to become a run and shoot team
-
The Bills are ranked 9th total defense (awful!!!!) and 2nd in passing (ATROCIOUS!!!) and....32nd in running (ok, thats bad). They havent been the 85 Bears no. But you would think the defense is getting blown off the field each week (they are not) and the team is 0-4 (they are not) the way some people are acting. They are, in a word....average. Obviously room for improvement but lets calm down here.

Defense looks undisciplined And poorly schemed. No we meant to not cover their WR1 over the deep middle, we're trying to lull them into a sense of complacency THEN we'll cover him! They don't know what hit em!

Your 2025 Democrat Party - the New Red Guard
B-Man replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
With a government shutdown looming, Democrats are clanging like cymbals, accusing Republicans of not wanting to fund "healthcare." Of course, the truth of the matter is far different from their pronouncements. What's being "cut" are COVID-era emergency appropriations that Democrats set to expire in the Inflation Reduction Act. Then there's the issue of funding for healthcare for illegal aliens, which is part of the $1.5 trillion "hostage" deal exposed by Vice President JD Vance and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). But while Democrats are no doubt responsible for marching America toward another shutdown, given they'd be the ones blocking a clean funding bill, they would also be marching themselves into a trap. If the clock strikes midnight and there's no continuing resolution, the Trump administration will be able to go nuclear on the bureaucracies, which remain the primary power center for the left. In fact, a memo has already been set out by OMB telling various government agencies to prepare for mass firings. That leaves Democrats with very little leverage in negotiations as the deadline looms. If they choose to plow forward with shutting the government down to virtue signal for illegal immigration, they will end up taking a hatchet to the embedded bureaucracy, their primary source of policy influence. So are they bluffing? I'm starting to think so. No doubt Schumer and company are more than willing to screw over Americans, but are they willing to screw over themselves? Color me skeptical they'll give Trump that big of a win just to garner a few more backslaps from MSNBC. I think there's a good chance Democrats back down in the eleventh hour. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2025/09/30/democrats-are-walking-into-a-trap-n2194556 -
The second in command has to report to and take instruction from the first in command? Thats an amazing find...you really might be on to something there.

Except when it was a problem before and Leslie Frazier got blame. And that's just the biggest circumstance we know of Jerry Hughes has alluded to the fact that the organization was all suspension and fluff without any body. The head coach is there to instill discipline, the chief organizer, the person who is on top of all things systemically. That this just magically appears to be a new problem concerns me to make me wonder if it was one all along. Hindsight being 20/20 it certainly appears to be.

NOW is Bobby Babich's seat hot?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
True... but the last 3 games they're averaging 16.6 points allowed, 17.3 first downs, 103 passing yards, 139.6 rushing yards, 242.6 total yards, and 1 takeaway per game. Are any of those averages likely to win a game? No. They've also trailed all of 4 minutes during the 3 game stretch. -
Bills/Dolphins in Miami question
Contemplating the rock replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills fans are going to be all over but the visitor side will have the most - this is also the "sunny side" so be prepared. Hotels - Ft Laud Beach area will have a lot of Bills fans staying there. There is also an organized/ticketed Tailgate w/bus leaving from that area through local Bills Backers. See you there! -
I didnt realize this thread was about the entire draft class. This was about Landon Jackson not an evaluation of the draft class. Our 3rd round pick has not seen a snap and I was pointing out that our 1st rounder has not either. They are 2 of only 3 players league wide picked that early in the draft that have not played. It is more of a fact than a criticism. And being 4-0 with no impact from 2 of your top 3 picks...

Bills asking fans to wear all white for the Pats game on Sunday
pennstate10 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Having been to a few of these, there’s always a few who show up in camo or orange hunting gear. -
I’ve been big on giving this team its own identity and their own traditions. Zubaz, the Shout Song, etc… belong to the early 90’s Bills. This era deserves their own memories and identity. The new stadium will be the biggest part. These jerseys, Mr. Brightside, and the legend of the game (despite using early 90’s sayings) are unique to them. They absolutely deserve that. It’s time to say goodbye to Zubaz. Maybe they never retire the Shout Song but if there was ever a year to say goodbye, it would be this year. Through the drought it was fine to pay homage to the glory years. This era, stands on it’s own. I have no idea why they waited. It certainly wasn’t based on the sales being slow. They were sold out immediately and everywhere. I somehow was able to get it on Fanatics (with the sleeves) right at launch. I was the only one in our group of 12 that was able to get one.

Also only gave up 19 points. Typical McDermott type numbers. Give up more on ground then air. Break don't bend, etc.
-
This time seems different with all the presnap confusion and out of position players and opposing offenses recognizing the problems and taking advantage of them. We might not love how he approaches defense philosophically, but that disorganization is not something that has typically been a problem in his tenure.

NOW is Bobby Babich's seat hot?
Mister Defense replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall
But the way this defense looks, we should definitely not just be worried about a post season breakdown. Have watched a lot of games this year, and this looks like one of the worst defenses in the NFL now--worse than last year. To me, that fact, and no progression, will mean Babich may done one very soon. But I hope I am wrong, and that he turns it around this week, and going forward, and never looks back. Just not betting on that, based on the evidence. -

this is such a horribly outdated talking point. everyone is still harping on that playoff loss to the Bengals where leslie frazier was calling the D. this is not a conservative defense anymore, and it hasn't been in more than two years. just because guys aren't making plays consistently doesn't mean it's conservative. man i swear most of y'all are holding onto opinions about McD from like 2019. -
And those are the stats that come home to roost against top playoff teams. I said it during training camp and I'll say it again, we have to see what the Bills D looks like during the 2nd half of the season and down the stretch. AND Like most I'm hoping getting past the bye and having a healthy D makes a difference... but NO i feel we are walking the exact same path we have walked before. I do not like what I have been seeing as a whole so far regarding how the D is playing as a unit. There has been some great individual efforts, but no consistency. If things do not improve I forsee another embarassing exit from the playoffs.
