So posters can’t reference a season from 4 years ago to make a point, but you can reference a QB that played nearly 40years ago to make yours? I guess all that matters is the bills suck, and you’re here to tell us you’re right?

They have options for people who want more room. You just have to be willing to pay for it. Nobody promised nice(r) would come cheap. Flying isn’t a deluxe travel experience, and it really never was. This feels like a case of missed expectations. You decide if you want to play the game or find an alternative. How much is space worth to you? It’s your call. -
How How is it worse than Diggs? He's far less public than Diggs. Or is this because he went shopping yesterday? I really don't care right now except introducing an element that opens up the offense. A #1 WR from a Super Bowl team is available, we should be trying.

We do have a slight problem coming up

AFC is so wide open this season --- there isn't a "dominant"/elite team, just a bunch of really good teams - who are all capable of making a deep run/going to the SB. I think Denver is the best, most well-rounded team and will be the toughest "out". Get in and anything can happen. Unfortunately, we need a lot of things to go our way for the division title at this point. Basically can't afford to lose another AFC game -- have to play in New England with them coming off a bye week -- then need New England to drop a game against the Jets or Dolphins. We'd need to beat them record-wise, which will take us running the table IMO. OR we need them to drop 3 AFC games (1 to us and 1 to either Dolphins or Jets, and 1 to Ravens) and for us to go undefeated in remaining AFC games (Philly game wouldn't matter). Playoffs start for us this Sunday --- that has to be the attitude from here on out.

The Steelers game is really the one we need to win. It's at home, and I do believe we can beat the Jets and Browns. The Bengals and Patriots are a toss-up, and until the Eagles laid an egg yesterday I had assumed that was going to be a loss. I've been thinking that would be the case for several games this year, and then the Bills end up winning them. So, I really have no idea, but I do know being at home should be helpful in this one.

It might be a revelation for the ages but maybe the defensive genius should devise a scheme and system that is both easy to learn and effective? Because I watch in complete amazement several games each and every week of the season as other team's defense has rookies and second year players making an impact. And I wonder why aren't we drafting players like this? Bigger, smarter, faster, more instictive, and better football players making plays.
-
And they all come back and PRAISE the McD and Beane culture....which seems to be a requirement to bring them back. I know its happens on other teams, but it sure seems to happen more here with players who are 30+ and can't stick anywhere else.

Game week thread - Bills at Steelers

HAS BEEN,outstanding. This team isnt those teams -
I wouldn’t call Gabe an old retread. He got overpaid by another team, got injured and then found his way back. And he is still relatively young.
-
I don’t think so. They are too severely flawed on both sides of the ball. I think they’ll lose to Pittsburgh Sunday handily and that will be it for them.

How many LBs will Darnell Washington retire Sunday? Also, I fear for Josh’s health behind this stinks on ice O-line vs TJ Watt

QB - We are set here although I would like draft a developmental backup basically just because it's probably cheaper. But if Josh wants one of his boys as a backup that's fine RB - I would look to trade Ray Davis if we could get anything of value but he's a fine piece to have for sure. I like the room WR - Need just so much help here. We have to get a true #1. Almost at all costs. In an ideal world I think you'd add another WR too but likely won't be possible TE - Knox either has to go or needs to take a huge paycut. In addition with Kincaid's inability to stay healthy, I may look at this position in the draft again OL - Very interesting spot with multiple free agents and Torrence a FA the year after this and Dawkins on the decline and not sure he's mentally into it. This is the one position I am confident can be coached up though with Kromer DL - I mean I don't know. It better be good considering the resources put into it but probably need a big splash here too LB - All 5 LB's on the current roster could be replaced/upgraded in my opinion. They won't be but man it's not good. What happened to McD being able to coach up and develop LB's? CB - Fine here especially if Hairston can be the #1 guy. Benford as a #2 would be very good. Do need a NCB probably S - Need someone to go with Bishop. Either Hancock here or Hancock at NCB There are holes. Lots of them. But with Josh Allen you have a chance so it's doable.

Game week thread - Bills at Steelers
fergie's ire replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not only how other teams struggle (I would add the Chiefs through 3 quarters), but also how good some of these "bad" teams can be. I saw much on hear about there was no way we were going to lose to lowly Houston particularly with Davis Mills. Well, the Texans are 6-2 over their last 8 and the offense has been playing better with Mills. Yes...the Bills looked bad...but the Texans are not an awful team. -
The Bills are still one of the betting favorites to win the AFC. No Matter is correct, all these supposed glaring problems existed in September (in April going back to "inept" Beane's appearance on WGR) -- if it was so obvious that the situation was so effed up then the expectations of glory were unwarranted. You can't have it both ways. Either the expectations were unrealistic or it's not over.

I think Hancock eventually replaces Cam Lewis -- if that's next year, or we keep Cam around if cutting Taron as insurance. They think highly enough of him to put Hancock in there on high-leverage passing situations, I think he eventually can play that "dime" role/jack of all trades that Cam does, but at a higher level.
-
Oh totally, I wasn't suggesting you were. The fact we are rolling out Tre White and Jordan Poyer is a serious serious problem. Yeah, it does take adjustment to the NFL. I'm still VERY hopeful for Sanders. As a SC fan, I watched a lot of him and he was very solid in college. Injury sucks, of course but yeah, 3ish years is a good amount of time to judge on the whole, for sure.

I'll pass along a travel tip for clothing that I discovered a few years ago and has worked out well. If you are traveling between a cold and hot climate (like departing Buffalo in the winter to the Caribbean) pick up a pair of casual/outdoor/athletic khakis that zip the pant legs off and become shorts. It works out great trying to shield yourself from the brutal windchills in the morning but then get off where it's 90s a humid. Especially if going to a place like Punta Cana where you deplane right on the tarmac and into a shuttle bus. -
It takes 2-3 years to assess a draft class …so I’ll reserve judgement for now… he had an extra 2nd and a couple extra 4th snd 5th rounders to work with
-
I'm really interested to see Hancock and how he develops. He played so many positions in college he never really stuck anywhere. I hope that with NFL coaching and stuck to one position, he can be a solid solid player for us. I really like the kind of player he is: versatile, hybrid, not slow, not bad at tackling,
