Josh was done with his nonsense. No way Beane takes that kind of cap hit without Josh on board.

So maybe edit the topic name?

I don't have too much objection to how roughing is called in the NFL. There are plays where you see the defender will let up on a QB hit and plays where the defender doesn't. The latter is what the NFL is trying to enforce. The same is true for "body weight" roughing fouls when the defender has to try not to land on the QB with his entire body weight. In both cases avoiding a foul is possible and refs want to see the defender attempt to lessen the force. It bears mentioning that it usually sucks watching a game with 2nd string QBing. The "roughing" calls I don't like are when they call a "hit to the head" when a defender's hand brushes against a QB's helmet. Too often such cases are not really roughing (excessive force) and aren't deserving of a personal foul, IMO.

yeah from what I am reading there has to be more to this than "he wanted out".

There’s something different about McD this season…
T master replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd say where McD has gotten this roster to is pretty dam good considering all that he has to work with . The older players that everyone complains about although not as good as they once were are performing & showing flashes like Jordan Phillips & Poyer . 9 & 4 and being in the wild card race into the play offs and still having a chance although slight as it may be to be the AFC east champs once again is pretty amazing ! I can only imagine if Ed, Hoecht, Max, and all of those that have been injured weren't . I believe this roster healthy could easily be 11 & 2 right now if healthy . -

That might be the most elegant thing I've ever seen. -

There is a poster who has some behind the scenes info so if he wants to post it here or PM you he can but I don’t want to put it out there bc it was told in confidence. Anyway he wasn’t cut and we got a 2nd rd pick for him.

Plane lands on car on Florida highway
RichStadiumGuy replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall
Yeah... it's pretty unreal that a small aircraft could land on top of a car driving down a 3 lane superhighway and NOBODY got a serious injury! I listened to that news broadcast several times but I can't quite make out if she's saying the woman was 57 or 67 years old... maybe somebody with better hearing could clarify that? Not that it makes any difference... just curious. -

Ketanji Brown Jackson: Embarrassment

No SCOTUS ruling grants the President immunity. If he went out tonight and knocked off a series of liquor stores and then escaped capture by returning to the White House he would still be subject to prosecution. Through Congress, not the courts per the Constitution. The House would bring articles of impeachment and the Senate would hold a trial and vote on a conviction. As we all know, we've been through this a couple times. What's of more concern is how the "resistance" is using lower court activist judges making political based rulings to "veto" Presidential directives and executive orders which later get overruled by higher courts. Throwing roadblocks and intentional obstruction through legal edicts that have little to no basis in the law that they expect won't hold up to legal inspection by higher courts. What many call the strategy of "lawfare". Under the premise the left is protecting the light of democracy through the dark winter. Which is in reality (as I've seen it described as) "using the legal system to produce legal outcomes the political left wants, not what the law, or the truth, or justice requires". Trump may be a total dick but that's what's really going on here. As for the Bills, sure the game doesn't officially end until the clock goes to zero. But that 3rd and 15 run for the 1st down effectively eliminated the Bengals chances of getting the ball back and scoring the necessary points to win the game. Which brought my blood pressure reading back down to normal. -
Trump is making the same mistake as Biden - telling people the economy is great when everyone knows it is not based on pocketbooks issues.

He forced his way out. he left the team with a cap issue and a hole in the roster. he should be hated in Buffalo.

Darius Slay claimed on waivers by Buffalo

Bills might as well call Kelly Services as Slay. Probably get someone for slightly above the minimum wage. -

Just curious since we played both and lost to the Falcons and beat the Bucs, would this game affect the Bills deep in the weeds of tiebreakers for seeds? -
Because he didn’t want to be here. The organization was tired of his garbage and his brothers stupid tweets. Specifically, he wanted out.

Got it. thanks. yes, he was traded.... geez, what a mess

Great read, DD. Thank you. i wish it wasn’t the case and still would love having him, or rather a number 1, here. However, it was the case. It was the problem…and it unfolded the way it should.

He had some kind of issue with the team, whether McDermott or Allen, who knows. But you don't trade a guy and take on a 35 million dollar cap hit for schematic differences. There's more to the story that I'm not sure we'll ever know
