  1. Past hour
  2. He has a point. Unfortunately the defensive line and offensive line getting pushed around for 3 quarters and Henry running wild kinda screwed my opinion on them winning. Next game, come out with your hair on fire from the beginning. And as I said in another thread, I prefer my crow fried with hot sauce! They stood up when they had to and won!
  3. I think they were bad but got better. This is one of the best DLs and front 7 in league.
  4. NFL has the technology to have replay assist help the refs spot the ball real time. It needs to move to that quickly.
  5. Corrected, 99 times out of 100! Insane tipped pass touchdown, dropped interceptions, Henry fumble, missed extra point, barely missed block of the winning FG. I just hope we didn't burn through a season's luck in one game!
  6. It’s Rapp and bishop for another 4 weeks. Then, post week 6 when Hoecbt comes back, it’s a decision to either trade for a safety, or sign peppers. That’s if you do anything at all
  7. I really don’t want them doing it. Allen does not need the wear and tear. we have three excellent backs. I hope they completely get away from running it except in really unique situations
  8. I completely agree.
  9. Sorry Josh, unlike the Bills Defense, the rest of us have to show up for work.
  10. This. See where you are at and bring in peppers or make a Beane Douglas type deal near deadline. Somebody will be a seller.....
  11. The play call on the 1st try was weird to me. We only did it because of the penalty, which put the ball on the 1. But choosing to go shotgun & throw it there made that a moot point. They could have done that from the regular spot.
  12. Make the Odd man out corner a S. That’s the idea. I don’t want to hear about skill set transfer. Think back…all the best S we have had are older or failed CBs. Whichever CB isn’t going to start, move him now
  13. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I think the idea of solo tackling Derrick Henry with a full head of steam is almost impossible for just about any safety. To me the main problem there was the D-Line getting manhandled and letting huge holes open up for Henry. In the passing game, the secondary were playing the run so hard that the middle of the field underneath the safeties was almost always open. I don't know if that's an indictment on the safety play. I don't really know what I'm trying to say here other than don't let what you already thought was bad about the defense before the game dictate your analysis of what actually happened.
  14. Josh correctly checked into some of the short passes ( the ravens just tackled out of their minds) and incorrectly checked into a short 3rd down run it looked like. The ravens started playing a bit more vanilla trying to keep everything in front of them and seemed like they started to gas out down the stretch which made downfield passing much easier Sometimes those short passes are all the defense is giving you and your receivers have to find a way to extend plays. not to mention probably the biggest play of the night was a huge screen pass
  15. They made a big deal about the high tech sensor for first down measurements and I said at the time it is just a smoke screen obscuring the real issue which is the refs misspotting the ball over and over again. Measuring a misplaced ball to the nearest millimeter is spurious and gives an air of accuracy to an inherently inaccurate process.
  16. Our short yardage plays were bad all night. They need to figure something out there.
  17. Too much tushing and not enough pushing.
  18. I'm personally going to stay the course on safety for a few more weeks. Week 1 is always funky in the new off-season with very little team activities and 3 pre-season games (also even reduced training camp). Now you have a funky week 1 against one of the best offenses in the league super motivated. The results weren't good even on Rapp. But I think Cole needs to get a feel for the game and I'm willing to give him a few more weeks. Spencer Brown was completely awful in 2022 (after a decent but up and down rookie season) and started out 2023 looking rough. But he picked it up and by the end of the year was a top 10 RT in the league. Guys sometimes need a little room to grow. Put some tape out there and fix their mistakes. Now if this is week 6 and the safety play still looks rough then they gotta go make a move likely internal and external via trade. But give Cole a few more weeks see where he is at. Rapp I think will be fine longer term probably more so shaking the rust off.
  19. Keon looked purposeful last night. Thought he had a great game. Last year on plays he wasn’t the primary receiver, he seemed to be lost. Almost disinterested. I believe McD called him out and one point. Last night, his head was on the game. That tipped pass TD was a great example of him being on the game - tried to get open, ran where’re his QB was going amped kept his eye on the ball to the end. Palmer looks like a NFL receiver. Looks to run crisp routes, is where he was supposed to be. Best way to explain how he looked is he doesn’t waste motion..just plays. Kincaid looked more physical last night. Thought he looked good.
  20. The 4 min offense. I have to think this became obvious to staff today. Also, part of me wonders if there was some “rust” on O/OC Josh(WR) threw 0 preseason game passes.
  21. Bills' next four games are a joke. Give Bishop+Rapp a month to gel and get more experience playing together. And then see where we are at. The alternatives are not great.
  22. CC is a tool, always has been,
  23. They never ran a tush push. They ran some QB sneaks.
  24. I don't know about average, but you would think more Lamar boosters would acknowledge that it makes at least a little difference to have a generational running back on your team, maybe handicap his MVP hype just a bit. Put it this way: Can you imagine Allen and Henry on the same team?
  25. Shakir was spotted short on that crazy josh flip pass when it looked clear he got the 1st down. He landed on his butt and the ref inexplicably marked it back a yard as if his knee hit the ground. That was a bad crew.
