PORT ST. LUCIE — A misdemeanor exposure of sexual organs charge against a Buffalo Bills player and former South Fork High School star has been dropped, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

Corey Lamar McIntyre, 30, a Buffalo Bill who racked up an impressive high school record, was arrested last month following an alleged March 20 incident in Port St. Lucie.

In follow-up meetings with prosecutors, the victim who initially identified McIntyre said she never actually saw his genitals and was “unable to give other specifics in reference to her allegation,” said Officer Tom Nichols, police spokesman.

“Her statement to prosecutors was questionable,” Nichols said.

Hope she gets charged with filing a false police report

That old lady is an idiot

She should be fined

Agreed. There should be a threshold for accusations that if you make a severe one that turns out to be completely false you get a minor fine.

ALSO: No one ever responded to this when it came up before: One of the reasons McIntyre WAS accused is because he regularly rides a bike of his own?? Can someone confirm this, and are there any pictures?

Read the article, it's confirmed. I don't know of any pics.

Damn, this story was REALLY funny. The second I read the police report though I knew this was getting dropped, far too many inconsistencies to hold up in court.

Congrats Corey, you're cleared.

I'm sure it wasn't REALLY funny to Corey. I can't even imagine what he's been going through since the charges were filed. And I'm sure he'll still get some smack talk during the season even though he's been cleared. The scary part is, with the guilty until proven innocent court system, that this could happen to anyone. Any women here live near Brady?

I tried to make that point in the thread linked above, and was told I must not have a good sense of humor.

You, me, and a few others. In fact, there was only one idiot who thought it was quite the laughing matter.

I doubt that the dropping of all charges will be picked up in the press as widely as the orginal false accusations, but I do hope the vicious, demented, lying, attention-starved wench gets prosecuted for filing a false report and dragging a young man's good name thru the courts, all for the sake of a little attention.

He is going to get alot of ribbing by people from this. Now that the evidence has presented itself and if Roger Goddell actually cares about hte NFL shield so much he should make a statement in defense of Corey Mcintyre.

Awesome news.

Now where does he go to get his reputation back?

I dont' know the law, or pretend to like petty lawsuits, but this is one case that I hope Corey can sue the hell outta whoever ruined his repuatation. I'm not sure if you would go after the lady or police or what, but I hope he does. What a joke.

The article sez: 'In follow-up meetings with prosecutors, the victim who initially identified McIntyre as the person masturbating at her home said she never actually saw his genitals and was “unable to give other specifics in reference to her allegation,” .

Does that mean she couldn't identify him in the Porky's-style line-up?

He's probably too busy finishing his thesis at his "Ivy-League-caliber" university to come on the site.

Actually, he was reading this thread about half an hour ago. So, yeah, we're probably not going to hear from him again on this topic.

And that's not a bad thing, either.

a play off someone else's post on Wood and Levitre...

A gain of 6 for McIntyre following Levitre with Wood pulling..

All we need is an excited Rick Jennerette to call a Bills game

Good stuff Blackhack, gave me a good laugh on a tough day of work.

Now, don't you feel foolish.... :D

Not really. I still feel he gets cut.

He's just kinda "there". I never remember once last season that I thought "Wow, I'm glad we've got McIntyre back there blocking for our backs". In fact, I forgot he was even on the team until this was brought up.

Its a good thing that an innocent man was cleared, but he still gets cut methinks.

Maybe she actually saw James Hardy's gun?

Not so easy. The accusations if nothing else had to be humiliating. I know the woman can't be charged but how sad that she would act in this way. Put yourself in Cory's shoes .... it would suck.

I'd recommend following the link to the original article out of the Florida paper referenced in Chris Brown's piece.

One of the more pertinent quotes:

"Meanwhile, Nichols on Wednesday said a man identified as Eddie Dean Scott, 24, was arrested Tuesday after a witness told investigators Scott was walking around June 2 with his genitals exposed in the 2200 block of Southwest Monterrey Lane — the same general area where McIntyre had been accused of masturbating."

I think this was more a case of mistaken identity but I do think this whole incident did happen to the lady (courtesy of Mr. Scott) so you can't charge her with filing a false report.

That depends, she did identify McIntyre originally, then recently said she could not. That and the fact that there's about a 100lb. difference between the two men makes me wonder what, if anything was accurate about her initial statement to the police.

As much as the old lady is at fault for making a false accusation, why did the police not put Corey in a line-up? Seems to me that a police line-up would be necessary in a case like this. Everything I've read suggests that there was none...the police were lazy and negligent if that was the case.

a sad but true telling line from The AP piece linked below:

McIntyre to be cleared

and these two specific grafs:

Police acknowledged the only similarities between McIntyre and the latest suspect arrested is that they are both black and have dreadlocks.

“They are significantly different in physical shape,” Nichols said. The new suspect weighs about 150 pounds, while McIntyre is nearly 260 pounds, he said.

and from what i have read, numerous publications, including TCPalm, The Buffalo News and The Associated Press have written as much, if not more, of the charges to be dropped than as they did when initial charges were filed.

it's the right thing to do.
