I'm kinda just gonna flush this one and move on.  I said just about everything I needed to say in the game threads.  That said, I have just 2 pleas to this team going forward:

 

1.  Stop giving whoever is calling the defense in the first halves of these game any further opportunities doing so.

 

2.  For the love of God, keep pushing the ball down the field.  It wasn't until we were down 3 TDs that we even attempting to throw the ball 10+ yards.  Yes, our WR room is trash.  We all know it and see it.  But you know what?  Our QB is the best in the world and the TEs and RBs are good.  How do you free them up?  By pushing the ball deep, even if they aren't all completed.  Just get the traffic in the short to intermediate areas out of there so our TEs and backs have some room to get open.  Tired of this ultra conservative offense inviting the safeties to come down and everyone being within 15 yards of the LOS because they don't fear anyone beating you over the top at the WR position.  Obviously, we know our WRs aren't going to win down the field catching the ball.  Everyone knows that.  But you still have to send someone to cover them.  So, even if you know they can't win, at least let them open up space for guys that can.

 

Ugh.....the conservative nature this team comes out to start every freaking game is so annoying and it's the main reason we have to play perfect football in the 2nd halves of these games to win.  Just come out swinging for a change and I guarantee you things will be different.

ALLEN won this game.

Ehh it’s a little more complicated than that here. Defense was lights out in the second half.  Mcdaniels was lost and Henderson bailed them out with insane vision on that run that should’ve been stuffed 

 

outside of that bouncing off your lineman and reversing field run the pats offense had absolutely none of the answers in the second half.  They had 14 total second half yards outside that one play 

 

there’s games where Josh straight up outduels the opposing offense with no defensive help all game but this wasn’t really one of them

I can't wait for Kevin Wildes to eat some crow tomorrow.  He was getting increasingly obnoxious as the wins piled up in Foxboro.

I still question if that's actually the case.

 

Defense: Babich, your call for the 1st half and see what happens.

Offense: only run the same 15 plays for the 1st half and see what happens.


2nd half:
McD: I'm talking over defense, Brady, Open up the playbook.

 

 

I feel like I've watched this game a bunch over the last 2-3 years.  Probably why Daboll and McD clashed.  He just wanted to score and not control the game.

Over the 2 games, the officiating evened out.

 

If I'm a Pats fan, I'd have some gripes today.  A couple of ticky tack kinds of calls..

 

But that 1st game was the same the other way.

I was referring to team MVP. Josh vs James.

But I stand by needing to be done with this GM and coaching staff.  And if we have a shot in this playoff we cannot give Babich any play calling duties.

You watched a different second half than the rest of us then. First half, McDermott was out coached…how can you look at the second half and say McDermott was still outcoached? They outscored them 28-7. Come on now
