Shaq T needs to be on this list. He brings leadership intangibles  and a toughness against the run that you can feel. Watch his press conferences, he's taken total ownership of the defense that no one else on that side of the ball has in years.

Injuries are part of the game across the league but in order for the bills to make a run they have guys they can’t lose for a playoff run. We have seen this with replacements end bills seasons in recent years.

1. MVP Allen. If this isn’t everyone’s #1 then stop now there is no debate. We need Superman all the way.  No player is more important to team success then josh.

2. Cook. Elite RB- Has games where he carried the offense. 
 

3. Benford. Been 6+ weeks now where he is clearly back and playing elite. The star of the defense 

 

4. Bosa- Playoffs you need someone who can make that game changing play or close the game by getting to the QB. Bosa has been is best option for that. 
 

5. Kincaid- A healthy Kincaid means everything to this passing offense and opens it up for others. Without kincaid I just never feel good about 3rd and 7 or greater. 
 

Honorable mentions: Bishop-playing great and would be huge drop off if out. 
Shaq I just feel so much better about run defense when he plays, best bills LB this season. 

 

Long bruising season, if the bills don’t have a shot at division but will be in playoffs come week 18 (likely scenario) you take that as bye week which I personally would love especially with 3 of the 5 guys I noted and a honorable mention  have injury concerns and history. 

Pretty good list and post. I'd add Shakir as I'm not sure we have a good replacement for what he brings.

I was listening to the all 22 review LockedOn Bills podcast and had the thought of just how much one player can change a unit. Joe Marino remarked how Shaq was sprinting behind Benford during the pick six. Shaq just brings an attitude and confidence to the D we haven’t had during McD’s tenure.

Don’t forget we need Oliver back for the playoffs.  We can win without him until playoff football, but having Bosa and Oliver, with Thompson in the middle is a must.  Benford and an increase in Hairston’s, and Hancock is imperative.

 

Offense, damn straight we need Allen as it’s over, but considering that. Tough SOB has made more twice the next most durable QB in consecutive starts, I’m good.  As far as Cook, just like Clifford Franklin had all that stickum on his hands in the replacements, we need the same for Cook.

Since he's been basically not playing all year I didn't add Ed even though obviously would love to have them back

If I could get one injured guy back for the playoffs it would be Hoecht. The pass rush was legit with him on the field. I like how Oliver looked but his play isn’t consistent enough. Hoecht would be in my top 5 if healthy
