Milano Turning the Corner?

From the TV view, seemed he was a force tonight.  I like the combo of him and Shaq.  Would love to hear what the view is after people break down the All-22, but I thought he looked quick, violent, and very additive to our defense tonight.  Him and Shaq playing well together could be a difference maker for the D.  Who would have thought our D would carry us in any games this year after the way they have played to date.  Great showing tonight, won the game for us.

The Steelers had 166 yards of offense. Every starter was a hero. Talk to me next week.

That might very well be.

I thought he also looked better last week than he had since coming back and he still seems to be trending in the right direction.

If they can stay healthy, Thompson and him could be a very serviceable pair of LB's in the base nickel.

He made some plays today. And it appears he didn't hurt himself doing it. Today was a good day. Who knows what tomorrow brings.

The entire defense has performed better with Shaq running the defense. He's been a visible force every game He's played.

You do have to expect some rust after being out so many times.  Not to mention potential confidence issues letting it fly because he’s protecting himself from injuries.  I saw him hesitant prior to tonight.

But hopefully this leads to him flying around again soon.

Outside of Washington somehow sneaking by him for a catch down the seam later in the game he looked pretty good.  He also got rag dolled on a run to the left side but those are the only warts I can remember.

Wasn’t half of them on that one drive in the 4 th after Bills got up 16?

Our defense plays better without the undersized Bernard. The front 7 is supposed to be Beefy and crush you every play. That’s football

I noticed many plays with Milano, Thompson and Williams as LBs where they stuffed the run.

I think the Bills need to do a LB rotation when Bernard gets back. Milano much like Po and Tre seems to still be a capable players when they don't play hefty snap counts (although Po has been playing more and more despite initially giving Handcock some snaps). Milano played 80% of the days snaps but the Bills only had about 43 total defensive snaps so his total count of 35 was more in line with a guy playing 65-70% of snaps in a more snap heavy game. 

 

Bernard, Shaq, Milano, and Williams should all split snaps at LB to keep each other healthy.

he looked great, I think he did last week also.  But man, he's made of glass.  I'd still be in for a LB in the 1st-2nd.  

 

Caveat: the Steelers offense is a total joke besides Rodgers who is likely questioning why he came to the Steelers.  (so are their coaches, FO and owners).  Like they didn't start throwing to Washington till the end of the game against our smaller LBs.  Steelers were also missing a OT and Guard.  

 

Can Bernard be moved to backup safety?  We look much better with Thompson and others there.

He looked good yesterday. Was aggressive and was reading plays fast. Hopefully he is full go in the playoffs.
