I have to ask am i the only one thinks they are being dumb winning games right now? They need top draft picks to fix that roster and winning is only going to make the picks they have worse. They have zero chance making the playoffs unless teams just flame out and burn so winning seems pointless.. almost like how I got ticked off at my Pats for winning a useless game against your Bills last year 😂

You don’t quit especially if you’re not technically eliminated.

Why do I equate this soulless post with Patriot fans?   Now, I don’t know the OP from Adam, but ugh.

What’s the rationale for the coaches or players to intentionally lose?

Especially coaches that aren't a part of that franchise's future

Call me crazy, but maybe the Dolphins think they still have a shot at sneaking into the playoffs. They don't, but they're not eliminated yet.

Soulless hey now Clark but it’s there! 😂 and I meant fans and ownership can’t like it… especially since they need a new QB and if rumors are right they are going to try and trade for Mac Jones I will laugh..

Yes thanks. Each individual is worried about staying on for next year. What’s the reason a person would not compete in a way that is in their best interest? So I’m an average player on the Phins I’m gonna play poorly so I can be replaced next year? Yikes 😳

Our NHL team once tanked to get #1 draft pick. It introduced a losing attitude in the locker room that took a decade to get rid of. Deliberately losing is not a good plan.

Our football team did the opposite and went nowhere anyway for nearly two decades.

No. After hearing that argument for years, I still disagree. There's only one goal. To win. I would not want to be playing for or with someone who is OK with losing, no matter what the situation. Never give up. Never stop trying. Maybe it is a blue-collar WNY thing, but that's the way I feel. This is probably a reflection of the 4 SB appearances with no success. Just keep trying.  Losers lose.

Players and coaches are playing and coaching for their careers. Be it in Miami or elsewhere. I've said it many times and it rings true. Players don't care where the team picks.

What do you want them to do? Fine Achane for any run over 20 yards? Force anyone scoring a TD to clean the toilets?

Only 3 or 4 of times were the Bills in a position to even consider tanking. The issue for the Bills was they often had decent starts and were in it at 4-4 / 4-5 and then ended up with 6 or 7 wins. The Cam year we really blew a chance at a QB in an annoying way. I can't think of too many others. Trading UP for Losman and then not having a 1st round pick as Aaron Rodgers slid the next year was a much bigger mistake than not tanking.

Previous ownership, also an absentee landlord, simply wouldn't allow a tank.
