I read all your comments about Joe Marino and yes, we’re all entitled to our own views. My view? He’s great! He’s one of the very best podcasters and Locked On is clearly the best sports podcast production. He’s knows the pro game so he knows when we’re not good. Like all of us, he loves the Bills. Personally, I can’t ask for more. 🤷‍♂️

Well said Chandler. He should be a must watch for all Bills fans.

This is controversial but James cook might be more valuable to this current offense than Josh Allen. He’s playing at an elite level. That 4th quarter swing pass where he just casually jukes two different dudes and picks up a huge first down. Like it’s just sheer arrogance and pulling it off

It's not controversial, it's wrong.  Without the threat of Allen teams would be in a much better position to bottle up Cook.

Both certainly compliment other. I assume the Bills want to limit Allen's hits. However, the offense is on a different playing level when Allen runs the ball. It just opens up so much.

They showed a lot of resilience. Lots of key injuries and a terrible first half, but they "made the adjustments" and turned it into a beat-down, in a tough stadium for that matter. Nice game, all things considered!

Well, more precisely it worked in the second half. This board wanted Brady's head on a stick in the first half, before the defense unilaterally turned the game around with the two turnovers. Brady's game plan paid off because of that momentum shift, but up to then it was spluttering--again. Say the Steelers scored a field goal at some point to make it 10-3, not an unreasonable scenario. We would then have been treated to more of Brady's "passing game," likely with no more success that up to that point.

The stars aligned for Brady yesterday because the defense gave him the perfect conditions for his limited repertoire of plays. When the Bills next face an opponent that can stop the run, or the defense doesn't dominate, Brady's glaring weaknesses--no creativity, adaptability, or flexibility, and utter predictability--will once again be on full display.

Yesterday might have been a Pyrrhic victory, since a loss might have finally prompted McDermott to fire Brady, and the new coordinator might have helped them win out. Now, we're stuck with Brady and his JUCO-level play calling for the rest of the season. I still have hope, since the defense might have found an identity and we still have Allen, Cook, and an offensive line. But on the other hand, we have Brady, who might end up cancelling out all those advantages all by himself.

A little to harsh IMO.

First, the Bills O was without BOTH starting tackles AND was missing their most effective pass catching TE AND were missing 2 of their 3 best WR's.  In that situation it's the responsibility of the D to keep them in the game and if possibe force game changing TO's.

Second, once ignited the Bills O was dominant - 3 possessions; 211 yards (56, 72, 83 yd drives); 17 points and 21 minutes 45 seconds 2nd half TOP.

I’m pretty sure the penalty was intentional. They were never actually planning to go for it on 4th down. They tried to draw Pittsburgh Offside on the first attempt, then used a timeout to give themselves a second shot at it, knowing a penalty was the tradeoff if it didn’t work.

Once the penalty came - whether a false start, delay of game, or even calling a second timeout - the situation shifted from 4th-and-3 to 4th-and-8, taking any realistic chance of drawing them Offside off the table.

In the end, it was just a 5-yard penalty on what would’ve been a 22-yard field goal, pushing it back to 27 yards.

Their sequence was actually handled really well.

Oh, they were going for it. You could tell by how pissed, Brady was over the penalty. He had something up his sleeve and couldn't do it because of the penalty.

Anyone else think Mason Rudolph looked like Freddie Mercury with that 'tache yesterday?

The game did not go well for him and Queen

The Bills' last drive was something else. They took possession on their 9 with 10:11 to play. Held the ball for 9+ minutes before kicking the field goal. Curiously, Tomlin never took a timeout during that drive to try to preserve clock. It's like he waved a white flag.

He did wave the white flag and that was embarrassing if you are a Steeler.

I thought the same thing. I saw them take over with over 10 minutes left, and was hoping to see a nice, long, time-consuming drive. I recall looking up to see they had just gotten a first down and there was 3:29 left and thinking, "Damn, they did it."

I thought the same about thing.  When they took over with 10mins left, I thought… just get a couple first downs take half the time off before you punt.   Do that and the game is all but over. Then they went in an epic drive, drained almost the entire quarter, and kicked a FG.  It was a such a beautiful thing to watch.

Pittsburgh read that all the way on that first drive and it could have easily been a pick. Seems like they knew the exact play was coming from film study.

Time to retire that play and maybe create a new version of it.

No argument here. As I said, the stars aligned for Brady's offense, since the conditions, including the injuries you mention, dictated a game plan that required no imagination, insight, flexibility, or any other quality except a play-calling sheet about four inches long. Like the proverbial stopped clock, even Brady is going to be right once in a while.

But consider: a competent coordinator would have also stuck with the run in the second half, since it was starting to click, in large part because the defensive turnover and late hit on Allen fired up the team. But that competent coordinator would also have mixed in a few potentially explosive plays that the constant running set up. Even Shavers or Coleman can catch a long ball if they're not covered.
