I think Josh needs to a bit more vocal about the direction the team is heading. Jim Kelly would've let his feelings known rather clearly

This is dumb.  The Bills are never going to do a true hard reset with Josh Allen still in his prime.

It's

Not

Happening

Beane (or whoever our GM is) can certainly get more aggressive with our retooling.  But a hard rebuild isn't in the cards for probably the next 5+ years at least.

Josh Allen will be in Buffalo as the QB of the Buffalo Bills for the foreseeable future.

I like this but I'm not entirely sure I agree with it.  At the end of last season I would have agreed with this 100%.  Now I'm not so sure.  For this to be true that Allen will spend his career in Buffalo no one needs to be fired but a hard reorientation of the teams priority's from the D to the O must happen.  And this includes  a new offensive strategy not predicated on protecting the D and aggressive drafting and FA signings of offensive players.

Josh Allen isn't going anywhere.

Pegula loves Daboll. Josh lives Daboll.

And here's the thing: McDermott is the type of guy who could put bygones aside for the good of everyone and the goal of winning it all.

He has also grown as a coach since the first time around.

I would say it's definitely possible if Daboll doesn't get a HC gig this off-season. Way more likely than many think.

The one to say no might actually be Daboll, not McDermott

Allen is signed until 2030 and then we could franchise him up to 3 times. So that brings us to 2033 and Allen at 38 yrs old.  Bills hold all the cards with Allen honestly and his style of play I really can't see him playing too far past his mid 30's.

I'm hink a lot of current top QBs will play past 40.

Mostly because they can't do this later. Other ventures will always be there. Plus the money only gets crazier.

Health, fitness, rules of the game, better treatments, all will lead to most guys playing a lot longer.

Josh Allen wants to win a SB more than anything else in football.  He is not going to force or demand a trade any time soon.  I spoke with his mom at the ACC Golf Tournament for a while in July, and she said outside family and his wife, nothing matters more to him than the city of Buffalo.  He truly feels he was put here, that his fate and path were shaped, for him to land in Buffalo.

I can assure you, there is no thoughts in his head of leaving Buffalo.  Maybe real late in his career things could change, but I would be stunned if he got to a place where he wanted to be traded until much later in his career if he still hasn't won one and the team isn't close.

I suspect Josh would want to stick around Buffalo rebuild or no rebuild (though talk of a rebuild of this team seems silly to me).  The Bills believed in him in a HUGE way and continue to, and he seems like a loyal guy.  Plus, he has to be treated like a god in the greater Buffalo area.

That being said, if a LA/SD or west coast in general offer came in, he might be real tempted to take it because of his wife and family.

It's very possible that Beane is let go, McDermott asks Daboll to come back and take over the offense and McDermott reworks the D. The team would go get a Waddle or someone similar in the off-season and also draft a WR and maybe even sign a #2 type guy in free agency.

The topic in national sports media is Allen needs weapons and everyone is dunking on Beane especially for his bullying of the WGR guys last summer for daring to question his WR room.

He's going to take the fall. Nobody is really blaming McDermott as much. I think agents and "camps" are feeding info out there to create a narrative.

McDermott is a rock solid human being (not that Beane isn't) that is easy to rally behind. I also have heard from a few places that he actually does want a more open attacking offense and us frustrated with what they have at WR. Where there's smoke there's fire.

Beane also seems like a good guy and all, but he has unfortunately failed the team far moreso than McDermott has.

I don’t know if they could swing it but if they could trade for AJ Brown and sign Alec Pierce in FA who averages 20 yards per catch would be a huge upgrade. re-Sign gave to a vet minimum the deal

WR room in 2026:

AJ Brown

Alec Pierce

Khalil Shakir

Joshua Palmer

Gabe Davis

Tyrell Shavers

you think that is possible? Not the slightest chance Daboll is back as the OC in my opinion …based on what their personal relationship appears to be and as reported in the media

As I understand it, he has been learning how to make fly puppets out of pistachio shells, and has approached a number of flea markets in hopes that he can pedal his wears

Never heard of such a thing.

Seems like a post a pistachio shell fly maker would say…

Elway , Favre and Staubach all played until their late 30s and still were great. They all took way more punishment. It's not close.

Elway at age 38 had one of his best years

Favre at age 40 had probably his best year, and that was after multiple shoulder surgeries on his throwing arm

Not saying Allens athletic ability won't diminish, but he'll still be great around age 37,38 possibly til 39 or 40.

His QB cycle won't be different from any of the guys I listed

I think AJ Brown goes to the Patriots to play with Vrabel and Diggs.

It's good to see him without any bandages after Thursday night. He can shake hands and lift objects over his head which is a positive as well.
