Dawkins giving up on blocks

He was badly lunging a lot last night . Head and shoulders way over the toes a lot last night. The rest of the offensive line also got completely dominated with maybe McGovern being the best out of the 5 but that’s not saying a lot

Brown also gave up on at least 1 pass play while Josh was still scrambling around trying to make a play.  
 

 

On a related note, Brady’s refusal to keep a TE or RB to help in the 2nd half is an embarrassment. Part of the coordinator’s job is to make adjustments.

Coaching is not giving them the scheme to stop the opponent’s rush. Whether it’s Kromer or Brady is anyone’s guess. Whoever plans the blocking calls and in turn whoever is calling them presnap is seriously letting Allen down.

Soft.  This whole team outside Allen, Brown, injured McGovern and Bosa gutting it out with one hand, are soft.  I’d throw Bishop in there with how he’s been playing.  Blew up Nico and is one of the few bright spots on Defense.

Have a good blocking TE and a reserve lineman that has played blocking TE a bunch in the past. You’d think it would be common sense to put them in to help a line that is being abused. Nope.

Dawkins has checked out and has become a personality more or less. He’s a false start and holding penalty waiting to happen. The O -line coaches know he’s outlived his usefulness but with all the needs on this team a reliable left tackle is as likely as getting another franchise QB.with the cap situation. The most telling visual last night was seeing him  smiling and laughing it up with the Houston edge rusher who used him like a turnstile and after almost getting Josh killed , showing no disappointment.  He is a liability and against a playoff edge rusher on the road, it’s going to be ugly.

It was the same one where he admitted that Hailey told him “he’s more than a football player.” Can’t remember his exact words on the SB, but it was an introspective interview that seemed to lessen the pressure of winning it all.

Im about at this point myself.  I dont care that Terry spent 400 mill of his billions this offseason for bonuses,its a tax deduction for him.

Maybe less pizza and bowling nights out. Maybe being friends with everyone on the team is overrated.  I am not in the locker room, but my general feeling is there is no player who really holds other players accountable.  Maybe that is not Allen's nature but maybe that needs to change.  I would say the team may need a few Richie Incognito types around. This feel good vibe certainly doesnt look like it is working.  Dawkins doesn't even seem upset at the losses.  Odd stuff.

Spencer Brown was rough before getting hurt, but battled through injury and at least looks like he cares.   He was miserable on the bench and looked completely dejected when the coach came over to tell him his night is over. 
 

Can you imagine him making the types of comments Dion makes?   I can’t.

Edward's and Torrence especially looked like rookies out there.  Wow, did they whiff big time.
