I think the better question is... Is it Beane or Mc D... I think McD has total control over the coaches...  seems satisfied and made no changes... to me it is not possible to look that the performance of these two and not believe that they our completely out gunned...  Thus for any coaching issue as well as on field performance like play calling, execution and just simple blocking and tackling as well as game planning... by virtue of his initial hiring of this staff and commitment to them I blame McD... 

 

The personnel to me is on Beane... too many wasted draft picks, failure to scout and identify top round players to make a difference, not effectively obtaining Josh the appropriate weapons to allow hm to succeed, too many draft misses to include who was drafted as well as who was available and could have been drafted, too many contracts paying non or little difference making players big money cash strapping us, and kicking the salary cap down the road hurting our future for poor to moderate current return... 

 

In the end every team has an Elam or a Coleman... I get it... but outside of Allen and Cook who has he drafted that is a star... a game wrecker or a player other teams game plan around.... He has done well with the O Line I will give him that... although this is hard to say after they almost got Josh killed yesterday... 

 

At this point Beane has tried to fix the flat 5 times its time for a new tire... while the engine (Josh) on this car is still in good shape and capable... this may mean the car is on the lift for a while but it will run much better with the proper fix. 

 

That proper fix to me is getting in a new GM to fix this mess, draft and scout appropriately and build a team that can win a Super Bowl as the current team cannot. This means taking a step back and clearing some of the deck...  This also involves likely a new coach and coaching staff... 

 

So in short my answer is Both.  And it isnt going to get better over night.

there are only so many concepts to quickly scheme open mediocre WRs play in and play out. Often those routes take time. If the dbs can sit on those handful of quick plays, not worry about the deep threat and the pass rush bails them out of the playground ball plays…. We are cooked.

Brady is not up to the job. He has been given the keys to the Lamborghini in Allen but doesnt know how to drive stick shift. McD put him that position knowing that he was relatively raw in the OC job. So thats on McD. Beane did his part by not getting him any weapons on offense and not resigning/trading the players that did work (Hollins and Diggs). Which was an incredibly stupid move. I would call them the 3 stooges but Babich makes 4.

It’s Brady.  Any competent OC knows you have to call plays to get them to back off on the rush.  Screens, quick slants, stuff like the long gain by Shakir.  Draw plays.  Anything but having Josh waiting for 3-4 seconds to throw and get buried as a result.

I wish McD would just let Brady do his thing from here on out and stay out of the offense and play Josh ball.  We still may have lost last night but at least they would have been having fun IMO.  Thoughts???

Brady was hired as a YES man to a Narcissistic Coach who micromanages. That being said Brady has documented history on his failures as an O Coordinator in Carolina. The fans there wrote exactly as what we Bills fans are saying in 2025. This year can be salvaged. FIRE Brady today and hire Daboll. FIRE Beane at end of the season. Also, McDermott needs to stop asking God for favors. God knows who McDermott really is and DOESN'T have his back. Just look at eight years of shoulda woulda coulda.

You have another issues....  A owner who is a clueless *****.  Everything that man touches turns to crap with his OneBuffalo bull crap.  Its all done man,  Josh will go down as the biggest waste to our already horrid history.  But hey, our AFC East trophy case will be great looking!

I just posted on another string... we can all opine about what needs to be done... and even agree... but the reality is that Pegula will do absolutely nothing about this and let it all ride... the best we can hope for is that Babich or Brady or both get canned... but that is the absolute max of what I think will happen... our only hope is that Beane self identifies his short comings and brings in people to assist there...  is that likely.... probably not.

I think it's been pretty obvious that Brady and Babich are doing what Mcdermott wants,  this usually means playing  and coaching not to lose. I think McDermott rewards both of these guys with them having their own weekly pressers so they can promote themselves

 

I just hope Pegula tells McDermott he needs to hire a big name defensive cordinator and new offensive cordinator from outside.  That has always been the problem,  we keep hiring coordinators that are already here and that's too easy to control

We were explosive last Sunday because the Tampa secondary sucks. Conversely the Houston secondary is really good. 

 

It is as simple as that. Against a good set of DBs our guys failed to get open, again.

If peak Travis Kelce were on the Bills with Brady and Allen, would he be as effective. If not, is that because of Allen or Brady?
