Way too many fans have this fire everybody approach as if great coaches and great players are sitting on a shelf, just waiting to be taken. This rings very hollow given that the two most popular names last year, Ben Johnson and Mike Vrabel, have both immediately turned their franchises around in year one. Great coaches are fairly easy to spot. I'll agree that the available names this year aren't quite as inspiring as those two but that doesn't mean you hold onto a coach that you know for a fact is never going to get it done. 3 Quote

So, in your opinion, it would be better to fire a coach knowing any replacement you hire will not be as good as the one you just fired? 3 Quote

We are 7-4. We have already beat teams that we will be fighting with for Wild Card spots. We're getting in. The Eli Manning Giants got hot and the right time AND lucky AF and got two rings against the GOAT coach/QB combo off of it. This was a very entertaining game for a neutral observer and the Bills had a chance to win it at the end. They pulled off a beautiful hook and ladder play to make it possible. Gabe Davis in-bounds or Dawkins doesn't jump and there's a very good chance of a W. Take a deep breath, schedule an appointment, and stop basing your happiness/self-worth on how a sports team that you aren't on performs. It seems you've missed the very obvious point of the post. I'm not saying the Bills won't make the playoffs or win the Super Bowl. I'm saying watching the games is not as much fun as it once was. People seem to agree. Step down from your ivory tower and realize that this has nothing to do with self-worth. Of course it has to do with happiness... this is a team and sport that we all dedicate time to and we want to watch our team win. Of course we don't feel neutral while the once in a lifetime quarterback of our favorite team is pile driven into the ground and writhing in pain. You know the most ironic part of your post? You say "we" when describing the Bills several times and still act holier than thou when describing "a team you aren't on" ... good lord. I hope you've considered therapy as well, because "we" are openly expressing frustration and that's perfectly fine. 1 1 Quote

No "inspiring" coaches available this season, but don't hold onto a coach that isn't going to "get it done". Pretty simple path from A to B. Fire Clappy now and see what they can hire. 1 Quote

Bills fan since 87 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Watching the Bills, and football in general will always be fun for me. I survived the drought, with it still being fun. VERY frustrating at times, yes. But still love it 2 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I think one of the things taking away the joy for me is that the fanbase cares more about the team than the players do. I am a 42 year old guy. I've spent hours of my life and thousands of my dollars on the team. Meanwhile guys the organization is paying tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars are saying things like "they just wanted it more than us" or paraphrasing other millionaires by saying his "life would be great" if they didn't win a Super Bowl. Makes me realize these guys are just mercenaries. Have to admit to feeling a bit stupid. 2 Quote
Low Positive Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I enjoy watching other games, but Bills games have been torture since the 2021 season. I think I might stop watching for a few weeks. Quote
Murdox Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It has been less fun than usual this year, that's for sure. Reminds me a bit of the year we had to win out to feel confident about making the playoffs. A lot of weakneses on the team, and Allen isn't getting any younger. I'm starting to think that Beane will turn Allen into another Dan Marino, minus the Superbowl appearance. Quote

Allen will win a SB: With a great new HC/GM combo here Get traded to the Rams or something and win it his first year there It won't be with this brass. I've accepted that. 1 minute ago, Tierlifer said: Football and all sports are a 3 hour escape for me from the doldrums of life. I’ll always enjoy watching the Bills on weekends. Same. Im already salty enough about my team right now I don't want to blame fans for feeling let down after last nights game. I think overall we are a very hardy bunch. Im not saying you were doing that. are You overly miserable after fugly Bills performances yourself? Or are you posting from a position of health and sanity. serious question since you brought this topic up thanks mm Bills fans are a hardy bunch I was salty last nite but more because how much Josh was getting abused not just the loss We were really close to losing Josh last nite with an injury 1 Quote
Success Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Even last night - I got about a minute of feeling like I had in previous seasons, when Cook broke that run. Then we missed the XP, and it was like 'that's gonna come back to haunt us.' Every game is like a trip to the dentist now. Quote

While it sure did matter, and I had the same thought, that makes it a trip to the dentist? What do you expect? Only perfect games and perfect outcomes? A 20-0 season? 4 hours ago, Billsfanatic8989 said: You do not keep a HC around because the next guy could be worse. Even though you know Vrabel was fired too? But that was last year. Who do you get now? Some of you were yapping to bring back Daboll! You seemed to forget how disliked he was here at the end. And he called horrible offensive plays for the Giants. No you don't do change just for change. Quote
