If a team is tanking for draft position it is. But in the Bills case where they are supposed to be a Super Bowl contender then games like yesterday are unacceptable.

Okay, maybe "better than" is overstating it. But right know the Bills need to change the way they play offense. Losses will provoke them to do that better than wins. It might even mean a change of OC. No trade deadline for that.

I view this as another 2023 type season. Odd year = 11 wins, should have already known this from the start. Will be back to 13 next year in the even year.

Our team is made of glass.  Every game we don’t just lose a guy for a series or two.. we’re losing guys for the season and for 3-4 weeks.  
 

This team is staring down the barrel of playing ZERO home games (if) they make the Playoffs in the final season of Highmark Stadium.  Potentially even a fun little @Baltimore WC Weekend. 
 

Josh Allen looks broken.  Physically, mentally, on the field.  His emotions, his play.  Beane has made it so he has be Superman more than ever and his OC might as well be The Joker, because he’s actively sabotaged everything about this Offense outside the running game.. which ironically shortens the game and puts even more pressure on JA.

Yeah sorry not buying it. This team is cooked. No pun intended.  I think Josh is tired of this lame shyt offense and not getting any help . You could see it in his body language. My prediction is they finish the season 9-8 and miss the playoffs by a country mile. I saw a team yesterday that had no fire yesterday and just didn’t want to compete. They just went through the motions. This team is broken and all the bad decisions made by the front office and coaching staff in the last 5 years have now come to a head. There are some core pieces but there is way too much dead weight at too many critical positions for this team to becompetitive any more.

it is going to take a huge overhaul to get it fixed. I just Hope Josh stays interested.

i have my doubts. What an absolute disaster.

That’s just recency bias. He didn’t look too broken after the Chiefs game. Look at most QBs that lost yesterday and you’ll say they looked similarly “broken”. 
 

I think “disappointed” is the right word.

Reasons I won't panic:

 

- We still have Josh Allen - Despite not being as consistently elite this year, he is still the best QB in the NFL

- The d-line is better than previous years. Need a little more health but I actually believe they can get to the QB this year. That matters a lot in January

- The run game is strong

- Offensive line is good - Not as good as last year but still a strength

- Josh Allen (again)

- Youth/athleticism in the secondary - Bishop and Hairston will continue to have growing pains but they look good

 

Reasons I will panic:

 

- The WR group is bad. We didn't improve it at the deadline. And now Kincaid will miss time

- The linebackers have been bad all year

- Lots of injuries

- Extremely poor play calling both in key situations and on unscripted drives

- Roster construction is not good

- Likely won't host a playoff game

 

Items to be determined:

 

- It appears there are a ton of eggs in the Josh Palmer basket. I hope he's ready 

- There might be some eggs in the Gabe Davis basket too

- The Chiefs and Patriots are still the only AFC teams that truly concern me. I guess the Colts with JT but I still expect Jones to crap the bed when it matters

- We should get healthier?

- Will we adapt?

- Was this a wakeup call or a sign of things to come?

On your last point, that is my biggest concern. I think from a motivation standpoint yesterday will be a wakeup call. However, the problems with this roster can't be fixed in-season now that the trade deadline has passed. I think we'll see more games like yesterday this season unfortunately. Our WRs are BAD.

Not panicking is fine, but it still doesn't fix the gapping hole at WR and an offense which has become predictable. Stop the run, force the Bills to pass and if you can get a turnover Buffalo will struggle to catch up.

 

The entire goal when you have a QB like 17 is to create the largest window possible at all times. The GM decided to not help his offense and they are paying dearly for it. They probably make the playoffs and lose 24-17 or something because the offense can only do some things. 

The defense I legit feel bad for at this point, the amount of injuries is astounding and areas you'd want to be positive about you can't because the starters are gone.

I'm a firm believer McD has told Brady to call a game that is a ball control game, an occasional deep ball but control the clock. I dont think that is what Brady is, it's definantly not how Allen is and in today's NFL flat doesn't work with any longevity. That is also why WR is an after thought because in McD eyes they really not needed but only occasionally because he wants to run run run the ball and control the clock. It's a flawed approach IMO and will ultimately not be nearly good enough against the better teams in the playoffs.

admire your patience but you might start panicking now. imo the pats are better than us and are not saddled with the mighty Mcdermott process bull sheit? instead they are well coached unlike the bills.  the pats won’t take the bills lightly like the billls took the  dolphins only to be embarrassed.

and what did you see last week against KC ? Was that a motivated team ? I think the Bills just got stomped. These are professionals. Their motivation is generation wealth for their families. They got beat plain & simple coming off a huge win. Happens in the NFL every week.
